I think the reasons why I liked Autosport are the race weekend format (practice and qualifying), custom setups, very customizable difficulty, where you can have as many flashbacks you want regardless of AI difficulty (GRID 2008 has the flashbacks set based on difficulty), set how long the races are (though even 2x can be too long later down the career mode). I didn't mind that you can't have your own team, but unless you drive for Ravenwest, the teammates you get are pain in the ass, even if you're driving with the next best team to Ravenwest. And (I've just noticed this as I still play the game to this day), winning a series doesn't guarantee as better deal (aside from Ravenwest).
