A true racing gem that deserves to be praised. I understand for many is all about GT7, Forza, Assetto Corsa, F1, iRacing etc,..but I've been having lots of fun with this one lately mainly because of its simplicity which reminds me of classic gaming. If you have friends to race with and a sim rig it gets even better.
The worst is that this game is waaaay better than GT7 and Forza ! Even the online is better. The single fact that it has a 2 hours story makes it better
The sense of speed in GRID Legends is an improvement too. When you're going fast, you'll feel it. I feel like GRID Legends just came at a bad time, nobody really gave it a chance. It's just very underrated.
GRID LEGENDS, according to Luke Reilly, supposed to be delayed till June 2023 (or after Nijigasaki Season 3 NEXT SKY OVA), or 2024 September (after Nijigasaki Season 4 Trilogy Movies Part I) to further develop GRID LEGENDS. It also planned to have 360 cars on the roster.
I spent 44+ hours on playing GRID LEGENDS due to how amazing the game is especially characters like Lara Vendano, Naomi Van Der Berg and McKane brothers.
One of the best racing titles for a good many years. Outplays even GT7 with it’s minimalist menu book ridiculous mode of play. If the Grid Legends devs included customisation & paint/decal/wraps it would outclass NFS which gets a mention in this video. Great camera options, I play 90% from the in-car driving seat position. Highly realistic as to real world driving. 10 out of 10 for Grid Legends 😊 Also, the drifting events in the original Race Driver Grid were superb, better than any racing game ever developed. Hopefully the next Grid title will be an improvement to what is already a great game.
One of the best, most approachable racers (especially for a sim style racer) I’ve played in a while. The story does a great job having you invested somewhat to your opponents, building your own storylines through gameplay. Played this just to test out about a week ago and haven’t put it down.
Not only did EA not market this game properly, but they also released it between Elden Ring and Gran Turismo 7, another behemoth racing game (on PlayStation though). When I heard that EA bought Codemasters, I became really concerned and have prepared myself for the death of this studio. For those unaware, EA purchases studios that make good/great games and start messing with their development to make them more money, resulting in poor quality games, less sales and ultimately shutdown of the studio. I think EA bought Codemasters because they have the F1 license and it's an annual money-maker like FIFA. But before the acquisition, I was mostly unbothered with F1 series because none of the Codemasters games had any kind of malicious designs like overdone microtransactions, pushing people to buy more and for more price, etc. The issues were mostly either subjective or just poor design, nothing that'll make you think that you were exploited playing their games. No matter how good their games are, Codemasters almost always have a solid handling that feels predictable and connects you well to your car. Since I follow NFS a lot, I know that EA doesn't give the studios enough resources to make a game that lives up to the expectations of the past titles, they're treated as lower priority studios and often get pulled to assist bigger studios on bigger projects like Battlefield, which is why NFS fans kinda hate that series now. I fear that Codemasters will suffer the same fate of neglect and unreasonable expectations. Lastly, I have to rant about the story mode... I don't understand why people keep saying this story is bad, cheesy, over-the-top, or cliche. You have no idea what any of those are. You're playing a sim-cade racing game where you bump an opponent out of your way and get no penalties. You do that IRL and you're gonna get banned, so you can't expect rEaLiSm from the story, it's written in a way that accommodates YOUR actions in the fictional world. All the characters feel like they belong in the story and have reasons to do what they're doing, and the best part is that none of them are annoying, like we see in most modern games. This game had one of the best stories among the racing games released recently.

@Joe, The Alternative Gamer OG Xbox and PS2. Seldom do I *ever* return to any racing titles prior to the 7th generation, however these are the two lone exceptions! In your case, I would probably recommend TOCA #3, as it's more or less a refined version of TOCA #2. Considering you're sophisticated pallete, I do believe you'll value these brother.
I love Grid Legends! I have it due to getting it on ps+ (PS5) two months ago, but I've only played it today (08/07/2023). I have the standard edition, but I might get the deluxe edition upgrade and all the other dlc's soon! I still play FH4 and FH5 the most on my Xbox Series X!
Worst racing game I have ever played. If you like to feel like a 5 year old again you should play it, if not save your money. Play anything else because this feels like it drives itself and so it kills the thrill... You want an arcade racer? Play Assetto Corsa with full TC and SC, the best "arcade" feeling you can get 👌
Do you want a trhill? buy a brand new car instead of a sim rig because thats what grow man do. right? Just being sarcastic in case if you didn't get it. this whole argument of "game is for kids" is a misjudging point. Also being an arse doesn't help.

If you love action packed automobile racers, then you need to play this game a hundred percent. Project Cars 3 is also an awesome GRID-like game too, it's not a sequel to PC2, but it's awesome as a NFS Shift-like or GRID-like game that everyone should give a try.

What realism?😅
Worst racing game I have ever played. If you like to feel like a 5 year old again you should play it, if not save your money. Play anything else because this feels like it drives itself and so it kills the thrill...
You want an arcade racer? Play Assetto Corsa with full TC and SC, the best "arcade" feeling you can get 👌
Nazi
Do you want a trhill? buy a brand new car instead of a sim rig because thats what grow man do. right?
Just being sarcastic in case if you didn't get it. this whole argument of "game is for kids" is a misjudging point. Also being an arse doesn't help.
@@b.1570 I may have agreed with you both. You both have a point.
But when he said this is the worst driving game he ever played.. it's nonsense.
I crave a challenging racer that I don't need to drive with a wheel & countless settings.
This could be the one.
No, don't buy this shit.
Playing a racing game with heavy/critical performance issues doesn't make any sense
The performance are very bad on all platforms, next gen console in the specific.
Don't listen the video author please
No, you play it..............ow wait you did
Lol!
All games are simulators, arcades don't exist anymore.
I despise the majority of the gaming community and also the people that the first GRID is worth a damn and to hell with everything else in the series, trying to be adamant in bringing down the relevance of this awesome game like it's a damn witch hunt, and that is exactly what it is, a witch hunt for this game! I'm very glad there is people like you that care a lot of this game, as do I. It's still 2023, and i'm still playing it, to hell with all the anti-grid morons that say that they love the Original Race Driver GRID and everything else is dead to them, those people make me sick.
If you love action packed automobile racers, then you need to play this game a hundred percent. Project Cars 3 is also an awesome GRID-like game too, it's not a sequel to PC2, but it's awesome as a NFS Shift-like or GRID-like game that everyone should give a try.
Yea I’m a casual grid fan, and honestly need to play the original games! Legends is such a great racer and packed with content, something we want from big budget games!
@@joethealternativegamer3935 I'm a casual GRID fan too, and I love playing legends, it does not surpass the original game, but its the best game in the series since the very first installment. Such a gem.
iv just down loaded it,,, whats the online community like ?
The story mode is a shit woke fest, the career mode is GREAT, but people don't buy woke crap. i always have been a Grid player, this one i only bought last weekend with 80% off. I HATE the campaign, bullcrap story with woke crap all over the place and each race they simply throw you in a different category with a different car. Once you actually end the shit story mode the career is indeed awesome.
Looks like i am late to this party. I have just started playing this and cant find many online.
