Welcome everyone to my review of the new Nissan X-Trail. The X-Trail was introduced to the UK more than 20 years ago and was a rugged, boxy family suv.
Great review - I have the exact same model, and I’m achieving 50 - 55mpg regularly in urban driving with a best figure of 65mpg. Having traded in an Ariya with a range of 300 miles, I am now overjoyed not to have any range anxiety at all, and, seeing a full tank lasting 450 - 500 miles easily.
I've got the qashqai E-power with the same 1.5 engine. The mpg is unbelievable. I live in a high altitude location and can get 99 mpg but coming uphill I'm looking at about 40 mpg. Avoiding hills I get 70 mpg and about 50-55 mpg on motorways.
Υou are the first to notice the small space in width in the driving position. I had entered the xtrail some time ago and when I noticed it to the seller he said that it was the first time he had heard of it...I agree with you 100%.
I had a Lexus 300h before acquiring the Xtrail epower eforce and top of the range..$62000,I love it ,it got everything to drive comfortably ,better that the Lexus, only no cool seat…but it is really fun to drive .I love the cruise control, and use it all the time..I drove from Brisbane Sydney return ….beautiful …5.6 l per 100km .petrol special 95.
I have just ordered a TEKNA e-4orce, but i found when checking RUclips reviews all journalists seem to follow the same formula when reviewing the car and miss something that for families is more important than most of the features you talk about. Namely the seat memory system. I can see on your video that the X-Trail you reviewed has dual memory for the seats and outside mirror position. PLUS the fact that these memories are connected to the key. PLUS the "welcome" feature that moves the seat back for easy entry. PLUS the digital rear view "mirror" means that the rear view "mirror" doesn't have to be readjusted when changing drivers. I have to assume that all motoring journalists have a partner who is exactly the same size and build as them. My wife is smaller than me and when i get in her Kadjar, sorry, when i try and get in her Kadjar, the seat is in a position that i can't get into. Doesn't that happen in your family?

What is the latest with the problems affecting the Nissan KR15DDT 1.5 liter Variable Compression engine? How many km on yours?

How many km on your Qashqai?
In the US the Nissan KR15DDT 1.5 liter Variable Compression engine has some issues.

Have Ti-L e-Power too...love it. I'm getting similar economy numbers here in Perth also... 👍
Great review plenty of food for thought mate 🤔👏😎

Only thing I would add, after receiving mine, is the EPOWER engine requires premium unleaded petrol….which they didn’t mention when I ordered it 😂
I’ve always used premium unleaded, even in my lawnmower.
Are you sure about that? I have the Qashqai Epower and it take E10 and E5 as well.
Why the SRS Airbag is showing on the left hand side of the driver seat. It should be on the door side to protect from the side impact. 🤔🤔
I chose the x trail over the rav 4 more exciting
having just covered 2000miles I get 50mpg on average,
At 9 mins 53 secs. I’m not so sure you want to see the heated steering wheel moved over to the right hand side? 🥴
Gutless after 50mph no good for heavy caravans getting shut soon.
