    Thank you for doing this :) I'm trying to work out our next Motability car and your review has really helped - especially the door opening to 85o in the back and height of boot. (Also Lords of the Lost! Class, mate, class!)

    I’m really interested in this as my next lease. Thing is, I’ve been seeing lots of comments on social media about generator failures, resulting in customers waiting months for replacements from Nissan and it’s putting me off.

    First of all, great review! Thank you for this, we pick up our new Qashqai E Power Tekna Automatic next week in the UK, the red that has a tinge of orange look, beautiful colour, feeling excited! ❤😊

    Bear, did you get any stalling or hesitation issues with this e-Power Qashqai when pulling away from junctions or roundabouts? I keep having them with my 22 reg Techna+, but not every junction or roundabout. This happens when in either of the driving modes, so it's not just in Eco for example, it is the 1.3 MHEV engine. I love the car, and this is the only thing that spoils the whole experience for me. This car is a great cruiser too. Don't know why, but we had the older J11 Qashqai Techna, 16 reg, and our dog didn't settle for ages on a journey. With this one she is settled in minutes. Maybe it's the better ride. An aside on economy here, I recently got 60.4mpg in Eco mode, on a journey of about 12 to 15 miles. I will also say that it was mostly around the 40 to 50mph mark for most of that distance, in traffic.
    Lastly, I just don't get this e-Power idea from Nissan. As you said, an extra 200kg being dragged about, like having two passengers with you all the time. Why not just get an all electric car?

    What is the ProPilot system and how does it differ from what drive assist features are available on models without ProPilot? Is ProPilot only on automatic models or is it on for example, the Techna 1.3 manual mild hybrid, which has the blue button on the right side of the steering wheel?

      I've got a 2022 1ltr 3 cyl turbo petrol Juke Tekna + 6 speed manual, which has pro pilot. It's a pretty good system on this car. It basically has a 360 radar system, adaptive cruise control and keeps you in the centre of the lane when driving, although it warns you after a few seconds to keep your hands on the wheel. I hope that answers your question.

    Another cracking review but it's not a car I would consider

    6:10 the door pockets are way too small imo and its a shame it doesn’t come with led interior lights

    I like the Qashqai's styling. It's relatively conservative, and as VW and Audi have proven, that generally ages quite well. The problem is the SUV shape is not necessarily the best for economy. I get 60mpg on the motorway in my Ioniq and about 65mpg round town, but it's very aerodynamic and quite low.

    • @AutoBears
      @AutoBears  2 месяца назад +1

      That is true. SUV's don't have the aerodynamics of a hatchback or estate. I do feel with EV's we will see a return of them simply due to their efficiency.

      @@AutoBears I think you're right. I know people like sitting higher and the boots are a bit bigger, but I deliberately went for a saloon / coupe shape, and it's not much less practical.

    Is it just doesn't Nissan epower sound suspiciously similar to Honda ehev.

      Thank you for your comment. The Honda system sits between Nissans and Toyotas. Toyota has a full hybrid system driven through a gear box to the front wheels, whereas Hondas has no gearbox, nit both the engine and motor send power to the wheels. The Nissan does not, its all motor.

    I have always liked the Qashqai, so seeing it with the e-power is very much welcomed.

    This full polluting car should be taxed of the road, it is not a hybrid , it runs only on petrol.
