I got them from B&Q, they are just construction brackets I’m not sure what dimensions were, I had an idea in my head how I was gunna do it and I just went looking for any hardware that would kind of work. The slide works great!
Hey, thanks for showcasing your handiwork! I'm wondering how you have the fridge *attached* to the platform? At @2:10 you lift the whole contraption in, and I'm stumped about how it's sticking together!
On the bottom of the dometic there are 4 mounting holes from factory, so it’s just bolted straight the the slide using them. I know you usually see people with straps on the handles but check your fridge underneath to see if it’s got the the threaded holes.
So the dog lead is just to stop it over rotating and was what I had laying about 😂 a proper solution would be just a strap to limit the movement to whatever angle you need.
Really nice build mate! Question, for the 12v outlet you've put in the boot - have you just run some wiring from the battery in the engine bay under the car/through the interior somehow? Keep up the good work and the videos!
Aye exactly that mate, I got some 4.5mm wire and a 40 amp Circuit breaker. I ran wire from the battery through the grommet on the bulkhead and followed the factory wiring under the kick stands and to the rear. The 12v outlet seems pretty decent quality, I got it off Amazon.
@@WoodcockFamilyOverland Nice one, that's good to know - I'm a good year or two away from trying a build like this but it's great to get some early inspiration.
@@sh0tteh if you need any help on the 12v in the back just let me know, it was pretty straight forward just have some new trim clips on hand as I had to replace a few!
Great build very creative! Where did you get the L bracket to attach the sliders? What dimension are the L brackets?

Do you have the dimensions of how tall your whole box is? What model Dometic is that? Awesome set up!
@@BenjaminMcClure-f4w thank you for watching! it’s 300mm tall and it’s the Dometic CFX3 55L fridge.
How did you go about the lead mate

@@WoodcockFamilyOverland i mean the power lead mate, hpw do you get it to retract or not get it in the way?
@@brodienunn8638 ahhh 😂 it’s coiled around the dog lead that’s has elastic and keeps it out of the way
@@WoodcockFamilyOverland beauty! Thanks mate!
