- Hi Shoebox Friends! Today I'm packing a back-to-school shoebox for an older girl that includes key items to help her attend school with confidence! 🩷

Lovely box, Kelly. Yes, I used to send menstrual pads in my 10-14 girl boxes, but have not included them in a while. Just my personal choice due to cost, space and trying to pack more fun. That’s not to say I would never pack them. I still think it’s an important item to include. My favorites in this box are the crocs and backpack. I love that you decorated it with a cute iron on patch. TFS this one ❤

I have been hesitant to send them in the past, as I agree that FUN should be the main focus for our boxes. ❤ I will probably start adding them more often, but just as a nice addition if I can fit them. Dollar Tree has had some cute iron on decals, I loved that sparkly gold star when I saw it. It was a two-pack, so I have another sparkly smiley face still. 😊
Yes I send a menstrual kit in my 10-14 yr old girls boxes. I started that this year. I never thought about it before but I heard on a video that the girls can’t go to school when they are having their periods if they don’t have them. Your box is full of awesome things! I loved it and I’m sure the girl that receives it will love it as well!

I send menstrual pads in some but not all 10-14 girl boxes. I like to split up a set of 6 from Amazon between 3 boxes so it’s not a huge part of the box but they’re still there.

I try to send pads in all my 10-14 yr old girl boxes. I order from Amazon and watch for sales. This is a great ready for school box. Thanks for sharing ☺️

I always send at least 6 pads for this age with a wet bag. I get them on Temu and send a variety of sizes to each girl. I include a small clothes line and small clothespins

I love this idea Kelly! Packing confidence for a 10-14 year old girl! Yes! I do not always include menstrual kits for this age but do on occasion. I feel it is definitely important and needed but also want to make the boxes more fun going forward! I love everything you packed and love the backpack with the iron on patch! This box is wonderful - wow! Shoes and pads and all the school supplies (especially love the backpack) will be a tremendous blessing. I have watched some documentaries and testimonies about the issues girls face around the world in getting an education - it breaks my heart. I include pads in all my 10-14 girl boxes as well - thank you for highlighting this in your video! You included so many other fun items like the clay - and packaged it so well. You packed a softie owl and a fidget which are fun and also comforting. I love all your ideas! 💗

Now to the box, I’ve not sent menstrual pads yet, but seeing so many packers including them and explaining the importance of them I’m definitely going to be looking into them for next year! Congrats to Tammy, you won a beautiful baby doll! This is a great "back to school" box. I personally have packed only a few boxes with hygiene pads, but mainly because I just don't have the room. My boxes tend to be stuffed, and trying to decide what to remove is a challenge for me. I do think they are a great idea and a real blessing. TFS! ❤😊

I used to send menstrual pads however my boxes always go to the Dominican and the missionaries in the Dominican that I spoke with said that the girls throw them away because they don't dry in time to use again. However I am thinking that perhaps someone made pads and sent them that were a little fuller than they needed to be and that's what happened because the ones from Amazon are rather thin. if I ever did it again I would would make sure that they were the thin style. However I know there's numerous countries that they go to that this would not be an issue with, and therefore I do believe they are a wonderful helpful item

I send resuable pads with all my 10 to 14 girl boxes! I just don't want any girl to be without menstrual products as periods are hard enough as it is. This box is great!

Hi Kelly! Yes, I am sending the reusable pads this year once I learned that girls miss school every month otherwise. I've sown them all this year. I'm so glad to hear all the feedback you have received about them. Mine are made with a thin super absorbent layer, so I'm praying they don't get thrown away!

I buy menstrual pads as the budget allows. I wish I knew how to sew and then could supply my boxes with pads. Maybe that is the ministry that could be taken up by the people that Sew those beautiful dresses?

Great box! Love the shoes and the backpack! I send 3 or 4 reusable menstrual pads in my 10-14 girl boxes. This is the first year to send them. I also get them from Amazon. Keep up the good work!
