- Any and ALL hateful comments will be reported and deleted, this is a charity for children! I packed what I was able to and what I had access to, I'm also not attempting to rub this in anyone's face or be better than anyone else. I was simply excited to reach a goal and share it to possibly help others :)
I know this isn't book related, but this is something I do every year and thought it would be a fun peek into my life!
This is something I love to do and I was able to do it on the biggest scale I've ever done. I really wanted to share this just so you can see what my tips are and what I packed.

my sunday sch kids received theirs this week so thank you so much
thats zambia.
Mam we are looking for the boxes. Please do help us by sending them we have many schools.
Nice gifts! If I can make a suggestion...remove unnecessary packaging, especially all the cellophane wrappers. They take up space and just become trash. Also you can fill the drinking cups with things like sox and hair accessories. 😊
You packed wonderful boxes. Seeing how young you are and saving up all year to do them is a blessing and a beautiful example to all.
I just started this year and im so excited. From the research I've been doing, though, as sanitary as packaging seems, these other countries dont generally have trash bags or trash cans like we do. So ANY plastic wrapers or trash that we send will just be on the streets, making it worse for their country. When i packed my boxes, i unwrapped EVERYTHING and used organza bags where i needed to make things a little more sanitary. This way, they have nice bags to use in the future and less trash. I also bought things like travel toothbrushes so they had caps built in. Hope this helps someone❤
Good to know, thank you!
I know longer pack shoeboxes! I went to a SP distribution center and was very SAD when I saw how many shoeboxes were half full. So, now I only buy WOW items year-round and turn them in as Filler items!
What do you mean? Can we buy items and drop those off at a drop of center, for not full boxes?
@@Beepbopboop19 Yes, you still pack shoeboxes, but any leftover items can also be dropped off as filler items. Or if you see a nice sale during the year. you can buy it and turn it into your local collection drop-off location. just tell the people it's for Filler items.🙂
@@Beepbopboop19Yes! You can send in loose, separate items instead of or in addition to full, packed shoeboxes. Put them in a cardboard box clearly labelled "Filler Items", and turn it in at any local shoebox collection center during National Collection Week. People who have worked as volunteers at the processing centers report that filler items are much needed, as many shoeboxes come in half empty (or contain prohibited items that have to be removed), and O.C.C.'s goal is for every child to receive a full box.
@@Beepbopboop19 I was glad to find out that all boxes get scrutinized (chequed) in the intake center so no box goes out half full. I'm glad that this lady said that she gets "wow" items for the not completley full boxes. A " wow" item should always go on the top of the box for the kids first impression. Because the kids normally open their presents together with alot of children at the same time. Those videos are here in RUclips and their a joy to see!
Just drop them off as usual but mark a box "FILLER". This is a great thing to do if you find a fantastic deal on great items, but are like most of us and don't do a hundred boxes ;-)@@Beepbopboop19
NIce boxes- You are very generous to do so many. The children will be thrilled when they get them. As a tip I suggest filling any cups with the smaller items and that frees up space to add another toy. I'm glad you include school supplies- some children cant go to school if their parents cant afford to buy them. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, usually I do fill the cups with goodies :)
I did hear that about school supplies, that's why I always try to get them. I had originally thought those note pads were a bit bigger when I ordered them lol
LOVED the yogurt cups. What a great idea. You can save space by putting things inside it. I will definitely look for those!
Im picking mine today did already 15 boxes way more to go such a blessing help this kids just wish I had help from other but I do my best❤
Awesome! Thanks so much for being a part of this ❤
Amazing what can fit in a shoebox we need more people like yourself ❤
How ambitious to pack 96 GO boxes! Great job! I look for deals year-round too. I just send big boxes of filler items.
Blessings in a Shoebox has an awesome check off list for the ages. I use it to pack my shoe boxes. Good job packing your box!!
Nice boxes. Just one thing to know. The label needs to be at the bottom so it can be read. Shoebox will be taoed in the middle so your label will have to be redone to read.
Yes thanks I added that in the video with an arrow not sure if you saw it, kind of pops up fast. I found that out before I sent them out 😊
You put together some wonderful boxes. I do boxes every year. Too. You've given me some great ideas for them. God bless you.
Thank you, I'm glad I was able to help :) And thanks for participating!!
The little girl who receives this fabulous box is very lucky!!!
Thanks for sharing!!!!!
Boxes are not always given at Christmas time. But they are always given.
Lots of really neat things! I'm sure the kids are going to love them!
Awesome job!!! This past year I also went all out to pack as many boxes as I could. I shopped all year long and kept my eye out for clearance items. I loved seeing your boxes. Hope you will share them again next November!
Great video, always fun to see what others pack to get more ideas. Would love it if you had links for the items you use.👍🏻
I’ll try and get those together and add them 😊
I love your video and I'm so proud of you packing all of those boxes!!! You did an amazing job!! The children will truly be blessed. Those flashlights are so cool!! I watch a lot of shoebox packing videos and I came across yours 😃It really blows my mind how many boxes you did!!
You did an excellent job!! I think your video is the BEST one I've seen yet!!
Aw that’s very nice thank you
Congratulations on doing so many boxes. It's very thoughtful especially with everything costing so much these days. People like you who go over and above make all the difference. PS What size are the teenage girl socks? They look so tiny.
Thank you ❤ teenage girls socks were women’s 7-9 socks
Great ideas!!!
We are asked for scarf , hat and gloves to keep them warm
Thank you for sharing!
I have decided not to include winter items because there are so many places in the world that do not get cold that they deliver to, and what would they do with those items? If you could indicate it's intended for a colder climate that would be great, but you can't.
@@TimAllen42agree, we do socks and washcloths instead.
@@TimAllen42Some warm climate regions still get cold at night so the items listed by @12dg are useful.
❤
Where do you get the labels and how do you locate the donation spots?
You get the labels online, check the link in the description of this video
And you can google drop off locations in your area, usually it would be your local church 😊
Is the $10 donation mandatory? I would love to make multiple boxes but I can't do that if it's $10 per box.
You can call your local church and check sometimes that take donations to cover the shipping cost
Hi, I have a question do they open up the boxes to check the size of clothing before they give it to a kid? I just don’t want to put clothes in a box if it’s going to not fit the kid.
I don’t believe they remove items from boxes, unless it is something on the list that is not allowed. Usually for this I try to buy on the bigger side thinking they can grow into it instead of it being to small.
They don’t check. I always pack clothes for the biggest age in the group. 2-4, I pack 4t to a 5 that will fit a four year old shoes 11 or 12. 5-9, I pack 10/12 and about a 5/6 shoes. 10-14, I pack Childs XL to adult small. This way the clothes will never be too small. It will be better to be too big with room to grow than to be too little and useless. This is my opinion.
What does SP charge for shipping this year?
This year the suggested cost to cover shipping and the ministry costs for the program is $10 each.
$10.00 per shoebox; for regular boxes marked "filler" there is no charge for shipping.
Where did you purchase the clear boxes?
I usually find them at walmart
