I love seeing boxes like this! This is often how I pack. I almost never do themes, sometimes I may have a couple of coordinating items though. I like to sit on my living floor, with all my OCC items while I watch TV or RUclips videos. Usually packing a couple boxes at a time 😅
I love that! I often pack while watching videos too! I love doing themes but not all of my boxes are themed. And like you, they might have a few coordinating items but not many. Glad you enjoyed this one, Niomi! 😊
Love the video. Thanks! I concentrate on the older kids every year because they get fewer boxes made for them overall. You had great choices, but I have a few other items you can consider-- (1) A Harmonica with a small pamphlet I made on how to play it and the harmonica scores for about a dozen songs (2) a solar powered calculator for school, (3) small wood make it crafts from places like Dollar Tree, such as a bird house, sailboat, etc. (4) sets of cards, dominos, checkers, etc. (5) stretchy gloves or a pair of warm socks. I always include colored pencils and a small pack of copy paper or a blank pages journal too.
Those are some great ideas! I'm always looking for new things to include! I have included most of these items in my boxes this year including the solar calculator and harmonica! I love packing for this age group! Thanks for watching and packing! 😀
Great boxes! The stuffies with the matching calendar pictures are adorable!! I loved how you showed a variety of wow items for this age group. This has given me so many new ideas for packing 10-14 boy boxes!!
These boxes are exemplary. They don't have a theme but are fantastic and have some much joy in them. I think I prefer boxes with a little bit of everything and without a theme. It allows for more "Wow" to me. I also think the pin ball game should go to a girl. Not all girls love dolls and pink. 😃
Great idea about the pinball machine! I’ll see what happens with it because I’m done packing for this year! These boxes turned out so nice and I agree… a lot of joy in there! Thank you so much for these kind words. It always means a-lot to me.🫶🏻
@@jettj6088 I always aim to finish in July or August. I spend the rest of the time working on fillers. And THIS year my daughter is getting married in October and I’m speaking at a Regional Project Leaders meeting. So there’s much on my plate. Pray for me! 😂

Amazing choices! And you pack them with such care. ❤ I'm doing our first box for a boy in this age group. I'm afraid it won't have as many cool items as you've done here, but we'll see what we can find in the next couple days. I wish I had started shopping earlier in the year, but I'll definitely start right away for next year.

This is awesome! I love how you showed your process for older boys. Very cool doing 3 different animals as the decor lid and matching stuffies. I'm working on a wolf box so love the wolf box. Very nice backpacks, and pencil pouches. Love the different sports tops! Great wow gifts! And geat mini added filler. Fun! Very full, and very lovingly packed shoeboxes, Denise! It's funny because I picked out the pictures first and then thought OH I MUST have stuffies in my stash to match! And sure enough! Thanks again friend!
Love everything you put in these shoeboxes! I’m so happy to see 10-14 year old boy boxes. Half of my shoeboxes this year will be boy boxes. You gave me a lot of good ideas. Tfs. God Bless

Thank you Darlene! Funny...sometimes when I can't sleep I watch OCC videos also! :) I got the hacky sack balls from Kipp Brothers but you can find them at other places also. Thanks again Darlene!
Great boxes for the very lucky boys to receive! Alike and yet so different. I love those shirts from Walmart too! I packed them last year but haven’t been able to find any so far but still looking. I am glad to see 10-14 boys getting boxes as I think they are most difficult for some to be pack. TFS
Thanks so much Nancy! I think most people find this age group difficult to pack for but think of what an impression we can make at that age, right? I pray we get more boxes for this age! Thank you for watching!
As usual, you make it look easy. 3 great boxes full of fun for older boys. Wonderful. Love the shirts. I didn't manage to get any of those when they went on clearance. I like those IKEA backpacks too. They did go up in price. Seems like they used to be $3.99 (?) and I bought them all the time. I like that they squish down and pack easily. Tired of everything going up, but we all are tired of that. Great video! 🦉💙
I know. Everything just keeps going up and up. I am grateful for my stash for now. I love those backpacks also. I still have a few. They pack so easily and are great quality. Boy, when I can find those shirts, I grab them up! They are so nice and easy to pack! Thanks for watching my 3 box demo! It was a bit daunting to try but turned out alright I think! xoxo
Oh a moose is loose🤣. Well I must say, the view of your gorgeous yard was really one of the highlights for me watching your video. The calendar pictures are so vibrant. Great idea. You always do such a fabulous job packing up so full of goodies. I like the ikea backpacks too. You’re so right about the shirts. That material folds up and doesn’t take up much space. Such blessings for 10-14 boys. I need to get better with that age. Ohhh the paddle set is a great item. You know pickle ball is very popular right now! Nice soccer ball and game. Ugh ross and their stickers on the front, drives me crazy. TFS quality wow items for older boys!

I wondered about larger games and if they’d fit in the boxes. Mancala was a favorite for our two youngest children and us to play. Thought about it but didn’t think it would fit the shoeboxes leaving much room for anything else. Thank you for showing that it will fit and still have plenty of space left for lots of other items! I might just pick up a couple of them this year! ❤👏👏👏❤️
I’m packing a few more this year too! It’s a great wow item to pack! I’ve found nice mancala sets at Ross Dress for Less! I’m glad this video was encouraging! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great boxes. I have 1 suggestion though. Don’t separate the socks. I saw too many “singles” in the discard buckets, at the processing center, because they got separated too easily during the inspection of the box. I also watch another RUclips channel, a missionary couple and she mentioned that too many boxes come with just 1 sock in them because the got separated at some point. She suggested they get a rubber band around them. Even if we stuff them in something some of the inspectors completely take the boxes apart.
Thanks so much! I watch the Barreto Family also! I appreciate your feedback! Unfortunately some inspectors do incorrectly inspect by taking the entire box apart. This is bound to happen with volunteers. I have volunteered in the PC for 13 years. I just pack and pray. At some point I have to let go and know that God has this! Beautiful boxes and packing -- thanks for sharing! I pack just about the same way. I like to include sunglasses and a flashlight in most boxes, and usually a bandana, as well as at least one nice metal car or truck. Sometimes I wonder if the contents will still be carefully packed after being inspected at the PC.
Thanks Lois! I love packing flashlights, bandanas and sunglasses too! Those are all awesome! And of course small hot wheels! ⚽️🏀🏉 Thanks you and God bless you for sharing these fun-filled boxes for these amazing young boys. I love all God's creatures. However, D, Rogers my favourite is the Moose. This year from the encouragement from your RUclips videos and other OCC packers I'm packing my boxes earlier. So far, I've packed 2 boxes. In my 10-14 year old boy box I included a cute key 🗝 chain Moose wearing a plaid shirt that says Canada 🇨🇦 🍁 on it. The boys shirts appear like they have a material that would keep them cool 😎 as well. D. Rogers, does or would your local Church ⛪ donate religious items like the Cross necklace? Just wondering is all 🤔
Sounds like you are off to a great start! I’m so glad these videos help and encourage you! Your moose box sounds wonderful! My local church does not add anything to the boxes. I just drop my boxes off and they send them off to the processing center. I however do include a cross or something related to Jesus in each of my boxes. God bless you for packing my friend!💕
Do you remember what size shirts for this age range you got? This is my first year and I got the OCC plastic boxes and I am finding I cannot get most of the stuff I want in there.
I usually buy a size 14 for this age. I always buy at the higher end of the age range. The plastic boxes can be a challenge but are such a nice part of the gift. I’ve learned to pack a little bit differently in them. Maybe I’ll do a video on packing in them next year! Hope this helps and so glad you are packing this year for the first time! It’s such a wonderful ministry! 💕🥰
Soap is ok to send this year, but it’s worth noting that bar soap has become an item of increasing regulatory concern. There have been mold issues. It will most likely be phased out next year and brings up a “caution” in the Operation Christmas Child database. For this reason I have chosen to send other items in place of soap. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching!
Hi Debbie! If you have a Five Below, they have them in the back deflated. If not, just take the needle from the pump and put it in the soccer ball hole and push the air out. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
You can send any regular size shoebox or order preprinted ones directly from Samaritans Purse online. You can also purchase plastic shoebox size containers at Walmart or Target! Hope that helps!
Detach the needle from the pump. Put it in the hole of the ball and push the ball until it is as flat as possible. You should be able to hear the air rushing out. Hope that helps! 😃
Amazing! You will be blessed!!
Thank you!!

I’ve learned to pack a little bit differently in them. Maybe I’ll do a video on packing in them next year! Hope this helps and so glad you are packing this year for the first time! It’s such a wonderful ministry! 💕🥰
I am just curious why soap is not being added to these boxes anymore?
Soap is ok to send this year, but it’s worth noting that bar soap has become an item of increasing regulatory concern. There have been mold issues. It will most likely be phased out next year and brings up a “caution” in the Operation Christmas Child database. For this reason I have chosen to send other items in place of soap. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching!
Where do you find 6 inch rulers? Amazon? I can't find them in my stores in Canada.
Amazon has a nice selection.
Hi can u tell me where i can purchase a deflated soccer ball? Thnks
Hi Debbie! If you have a Five Below, they have them in the back deflated. If not, just take the needle from the pump and put it in the soccer ball hole and push the air out. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
Where do you get the boxes
You can send any regular size shoebox or order preprinted ones directly from Samaritans Purse online. You can also purchase plastic shoebox size containers at Walmart or Target! Hope that helps!
How do you deflate the balls?
Detach the needle from the pump. Put it in the hole of the ball and push the ball until it is as flat as possible. You should be able to hear the air rushing out. Hope that helps! 😃
