Best thing we can do is cook without oils for our health. Been doing it for 16 years now. May I suggest when baking use parchment paper it helps crisp things in the oven.

Using vegetable stock instead of water, can cook your meats , vegetables and onions, garlic with out oil.. Vegetable Stock gives everthing you cook alot of flavor.

So how do you season veggies/potatoes, etc when baking/roasting? I get that spices will actually stick decently to veggies with decent water content (i.e. potatoes, zucchini, squash) but what about something like fresh broccoli/cauliflower?
Also, for the viewers, you can also use a zero/low sodium [veggie] broth or stock in place of water or mixed with water to add flavor.

  • @LindaR423

I just use water for cooking on the stove, church the food up with spices, and it works fine for a lot of foods. One of the biggest problems with oil is people buy some gigantic containers of it (because it's considered a staple) so the thing lasts for months and months and will go bad. Keeping and using that outdated oil for so long is even more unhealthy than the oil itself.

I think the idea you have to be a doctor or physician to be knowledgeable about nutrition is out of date. A person can read books written BY doctors and learn from professionals and it doesn't make them unreliable. Even a doctor can end up hurting someone health through an in the box, drug pushing mindset.

The bests thibg is cook with milk. That will bring creamy taste as wll as surface where the vegetable will be cook. Another way is water. You have to give water for sure now or later so better to use water for cooking. These are not for frying fish or chicken rather for mixers.

You don’t have to peel beets with a knipe like that. You can use your hands, hold a beet and press, the peel will loosen and you can peel it. Or you can use a small knife and using the knife’s edge, scrape the peel off. Very easy and you don’t waste any beet! 😊👏
