I might of said this a year or two ago on one of your builds but this is really what is going through my head when watching your knife builds... Love watching your "work flow" and the practical problem solving using the tools you have on-hand, for example all the different tricks you pulled out to chamfer the handle scales. Also, Im dying to feel the texture of "sandblasted g10", seems like it would feel great in hand. So happy you're making content again. Great job!
Every day i'm astonished of tools, that exceeds my imagination! Either i'm stupid dork with bad imagination, or i need to discover more techiques... :-)
That checking file is legit!... I need one. Great knife and like always great build! Pretty slick bead blasting the finished knife then etching the whole knife with handles too. Never seen that.
Another great video. To me these type are the best ones. Straight to the point. No endless promotion, no blowing smoke, just a great instructional video.
I must say, when you watch something craft something, you really want to own it if you like it even a little bit. It's like "I watched him make this knife" I want to buy it now.
Man, this turned out REALLY well and you manufacturing process is SMART! The sand blast finish and using the router bit are extremely authentically pleasing to me but I imagine e huge time savers. NICE
I'm late to the party as usual, but I still want to say that the subtle shoutouts to Bill Behnke and the This Old Tony-style production are what elevate your videos. Bravo, sir!
The Little Chubby and the Crooked finger are my favorite 2 knives so far. To go with the whole homesteading mentality, have you ever considered making a hunting knife with a gut hook incorporated into it? It would add some unique challenges, but I think you would crush it!
Simple Little Life I’ll stay posted. I’ve been on a marathon of your RUclips videos all day. I want to get into knife making once I get settled into my new house. You’ve definitely inspired me.
that is one beautiful knife and i love this vid of you making it. this video is the perfect answer to anyone asking why such handmade knives cost so much. is such an amazing a video and very therapeutic to watch.
wow. one of my favorites right there. rugged but really a smooth "slick looking, without being slick 🤣" type of vibe. I really like it. thanks so much for putting in so much work and effort to bring us interesting content all the time. Keep up the great work.
I saw the whole video, it was satisfying to watch. Where I mostly have doubts is in the types of machinery that must be used as in the types of sandpaper.
What a great video!!! I’ve made a few knives in my life and always watch other craftsman to get inspiration and maybe learn some techniques I may not know or have even thought about and man did I learn some things from you today. Great great work my friend!!!!
I have made about 30 knifes, stainless and carbon steel. I like watching your channel when I get the urge to make another. Saves me money. This knife is wicked cool. I would like to see a brushed hollow grind with the acid bead blast flats.
That is a really useable looking knife, I like the sheepsfoot blades you make and the Little Chubby is no exception. It looks as though it will cut well above its weight.
I've been subscribed to you ever since your first few knife-making videos on RUclips, and I've gotta say that your knife-making skills have improved A LOT. You were always a great knife-maker, but the way you do things now is just so much better and efficient, with even better results. Good job dude!
That router bit was smart for the 45*. Thanks for the safety warning. I may or may not use that. Great little knife. I like the little choppers you make. Have a good day.
Hello My name is Chris and I would like to know in what you soak your knife to blacken the blade, the vertical tube. Thanks you very much. Continue your job, it's wonderful !
My favourite design of yours by far!!! Absolutely love the look of this little blade. Small horizontal carry kidex sheath and she would be the perfect EDC fixed blade
5 minutes in the stone tumbler after cold bluing the blade. Countersink the handle tubes with a 30 degree profile and polish with felt cones to contrast with the sand blasted scales. Very cool EDC!
Thank you! The second one was to temper the steel back down so it’s not quite so hard. With out it the blade would be super hard, hold an edge like crazy but would also be too brittle. 👍
Love the angle wooden block used on the grinder to shape the front of the scale. How do you get it to stick to the table? I’m thinking magnets glued to the bottom of the block.
The file you used to do the grip on the top of the blade, what is it called and where can I get one ? I like the finish on that knife, very military stealth.
Thank you for drilling both scales at once. Don’t know why guys don’t do that more often. Would seem to be the most accurate, quickest way to do things.
Ngl I was laying in bed smiling the entire time I was watching this video. Awesome design and great vid. I have been wanting to make some knives recently and might have to do a similar design
This may have been answered below but have you made a video on how to make that simple bevel grinding jig? I love the simplicity and just using a hole you’ve already drilled to mount the blade to the jig.
Questions what is that stuff you dunked the knife in? what angle is that jig for cutting the blade? where do you source your steal and G10? The etching is pretty neat, what is the chemical and how many volts? thank you. I have really enjoyed your videos
I made a small knife like this for use around the shop. The short blunt blade makes it safer and easier to control the tip. I love it and will have to make another when I've worn this one down too much.

I had no idea there was such a file to make jimping. That was pretty cool.
Every day i'm astonished of tools, that exceeds my imagination!
Either i'm stupid dork with bad imagination, or i need to discover more techiques... :-)
does anyone know what that's called? "jimping file" gives nothing on ebay/amazon.
@@njones420 i believe it is called a checkering file!
@@zacharylevan4828 thank you sir!
wow ive seen thousands of knifes, there is just something about this knife and i can t pin point it .. well done SLL and thank you for the videos
Cleaver style knives are popular now. None of them are like *this* one, but tons of them out there.
Beautiful work.
That checking file is legit!... I need one. Great knife and like always great build! Pretty slick bead blasting the finished knife then etching the whole knife with handles too. Never seen that.
Man you have the shop set up. What a dream shop. Nice work on this Chubby.
Thank you 👍

So much work put on this tinny knife, you are a pro
Thank you!
A fine piece of craftsmanship!
Thank you!
CAN YOU MAKE A VID ON HOW TO CLEAN YOUR PRINTER EVERY ONCE AND A WHILE..
I don’t know how to😆👍
Great camera angles......thanks. Cool little knife. I like the angled handle.

One of the coolest little knives ive seen in a while. Awesome build! Love the blade shape!
the detailing in the grip and the ridges on the back really go well together.
Such a cool looking little knife and a great build video
Great way to wake up here in San Diego, coffee and another build! Love your work Jeremy🤙🏼
Right on, thank you so much! I worked in San Diego for 5 months. Always great to wake up there for sure. 👍

Super clean work!

I love watching your videos they are so intresting and informative ive watched all of your videos so was very happy to see a new one come out
Thank you so much!
I love this design!
Badass! Love the small amount of soundless commentary when you made that small flaw hahaha! I wish I live close and we could hangout
What a cool little knife. Loved the safety warning. Glad to see you back on posting again.
Sandblasted the scales and then the whole thing in the ferric. Different. How is the feel afterwards? And what was the handle material?
Kris Lewis looks like g10
Looks like micarta
This really turned out nice. Now take my money!
your the best knife maker ever
Still my favorite one you’ve made
What a great video!!! I’ve made a few knives in my life and always watch other craftsman to get inspiration and maybe learn some techniques I may not know or have even thought about and man did I learn some things from you today. Great great work my friend!!!!
Really like this little knife. I couldn't begin to make it. Would buy it if i had the chance.
Beautiful little build great work

Learned a lot thanks.
Great to hear, thank you! And thank you for watching! 👍
Interesting to watch the process. I have been just ordering gear and can't wait to start!

Nice looking little knife, Jeremy.
superb... and all without saying a word!
Lovely little knife. Nice video too.

Hello
My name is Chris and I would like to know in what you soak your knife to blacken the blade, the vertical tube.
Thanks you very much. Continue your job, it's wonderful !
It's probably ferric chloride, which is used to etch metals containing iron.
I want to know exactly what it is. And how long.
Mind sharing the face angle on your grinding block? Of all the guides and jigs I've seen, yours make the most sense.
Love your build videos and that knife turned out great

Great. You should do that....
Looks very handy as a EDC knife. Great job on a knife and also the editing
i like this style of video as a change of pace from time to time. thumbs up.
An excellent knife. Well-designed and well-executed. Thanks!
that is a sick ass knife, alot of time and effort to make it perfect.
I like the look.
Thank you!
Great job. I love that blade shape. Amazing little knife. Thank you for sharing this.
The first kiln is to heat treat it, but what is the smaller electric oven for? Just before you shot blasted it?
Absolutely amazing work.
Thank you! The second one was to temper the steel back down so it’s not quite so hard. With out it the blade would be super hard, hold an edge like crazy but would also be too brittle. 👍

I wish I had a list of all the tools equipment you just used. What a sweet setup!
Nice work Jeremy. It’s a nice looking knife.
Nice knife. Great video.

Me and my dad were going to build one of these because it’s so cool
Lovely little knife, nice job 👍🏻
Thank you!

this is so nice amazing video i wish i had all those tools
Thank you so much!
Best one yet. I love the handle shape + chamfered edges, and the colors/finishes look really good together.
Nice little knife!
The file you used to do the grip on the top of the blade, what is it called and where can I get one ? I like the finish on that knife, very military stealth.
I second this
Would love to know what you dipped it in to get the black finish?
Thank you for drilling both scales at once. Don’t know why guys don’t do that more often. Would seem to be the most accurate, quickest way to do things.
Didnt see it on the website. I NEED THIS KNIFE!!!
Your best video yet. 101 great tips for the aspiring knife maker!! Thank you.
This was great to watch. I absolutely love this knife! Seriously, this is the perfect little chubby.
Very nice. A lot of effort goes into your knives.

The amount of quality in your work is outstanding!

Why did you drill the holes in the handle? Brilliant video!
Love everything about this video. Nice work.
Now that was enjoyable to watch
You nailed it
Super video in what liquid did you soak the knife so that the color changes so?
Thank you for watching? No, sir. Thank you for making this video. Great work!

Great blade
