recover soon and well mate. Just want to say a great big thank you to the emergency crews worldwide often under valued but totally treasured. Heck in Australia they even stop by at a disco party on the way to hospital!!!!. Maybe off roading should carry government health warnings nah just be aware very aware at all times
Hope you get well soon bro. This does highlight the importance of a proper firsts aid kit, and doing at a minim a First Aid course for situations like this.
Thanks mate, we did have first aid with us but nothing to really help properly. All I wish we had was some string medication to drug me 😂 also had a mate that’s practicing to be a nurse so he was a great help.
Get well soon mate!! I literally drove that exact right hand line the weekend before this, it's steep as FUCK in person, can't believe you rolled down 5m bro. Lucky you didn't keep going!
Thanks mate! Yeah it doesn’t show on camera but definitely steep. Everyone was surprised at the fact I was able to stop myself from rolling and also somehow I managed to not cut or break any other part of my body when falling.
Solid line up of trucks on that trip! Damn shame it ended up like it did for you mate, take it easy on the recovery and make sure to do the rehab physio, your older self will thank you trust me!
So you’re new name is Maxx?? It’s good you posted this. It’s a timely lesson for all influencers to be careful. The camera doesn’t protect you! There is lots of evidence of journalists and war correspondents completely ignoring obvious danger because they’re too focused on the shot. Looking through the camera makes it feel like you’re watching TV! Wishing you a speedy recovery mate!!
Thanks mate I hope so, I know I definitely will from now on. Not to say I wasn’t careful beforehand but I think this is a wake up that you can never be too safe
just for the sake of analysis, would it be possible for you to show the video on a separate channel or a video link that requires actually signing in (or unlisted) to make it so that only people that really want to see it can see it?
I thought about it, but I think then it will be a possibility of being posted in places I don’t want it, leaves me and the driver exposed to silly comments or people making memes ect. For now it’ll stay private
From point of view of locals in the area and others who need to use bush tracks and organisations /people responsible for maintaining them, largely good when "urban cowboy" types who at times cause a lot of unnecessary damage are somewhat curbed after damaging their vehicles and /or themselves as on foregoing video. . Then note sometimes locals and forest managers will not pull out idiots who have become bogged doing stupid things that cause unnecessary track damage. Think what it would cost to restore the track shown in video to reasonable condition. Including road grader at eg $170 /hour and also carting in dirt and rock to fill holes. Especially large ones. This results in tracks sometimes being closed when they would otherwise be left open for responsible users. Seems driving technique of urban cowboy types is often largely maximum speed, maximum revs and maximum wheelspin. Also generally driving along wheel ruts when they are wet. Bushie type drivers usually try to straddle wet ruts and make small detours around wet mudholes when possible to avoid making them worse;. Also, driving technique is often deliberately limit use of power. when slippery. Sometimes there is enough grip to keep vehicle moving with minimal wheelspin if speed is kept low but if you stop - or try to go a bit faster, break traction and are stopped with wheels spinning. Then have to try appropriate measures to get out. Those who think lots of power is usually good with 4WD's should note an important reason why in their day, Series Land Rovers were largely regarded as the most capable regarding getting through wet patches when driven sensibly. Main reason was Rover motors will keep pulling at revs below where most others stall. Then note Land Rover Defenders 2006 -2016 have motors basically same as Ford Transit. Important differences are dual mass flywheel which is good much of time but self destructs at low revs replaced with a solid one and also the electronic diesel fuel map programmed so motor pulls well at speeds below those where standard Transit version would stop.
Thanks for sharing my dude , good to show everyone how important it is to be careful with this stuff !!! Get better soon 🤟🤟🤟
Cheers boys! Definitely a lesson learnt 🤟🏽
Breaks leg and still provides the backstory for youtube. That dedication. Wishing for a speedy recovery.
