Trevor my man. You have saved me from countless hours of frustration with assembly. I've just purchased the same kit but with an expensive AMG Petronas liveried seat for $3500. Thanks very much
It’s so crazy how these companies charge 4 grand.. yes 4 GRAND for bits of metal that cost probably not even $50 to manufacture
You’d be surprised how expensive materials and manufacturing is. However, I’d think it wouldn’t be much over $300-$700 to make.
Takes a lot to ship it from China lol
initial design,..tooling for the cnc tube benders..writing the programs..debugging...faro,cmm measuring...programming the lasers to cut the flat pieces ...programming the tube lasers for the tubular parts ..developing and building the welding jigs for the completed component parts..welding ....ppap for the initial first completed unit....disassembly..sending the parts to the powder coat operation...developing the seat..probably dealing with an injection molding company...etc etc....the stuff doesn't make itself.

People think stuff like this just comes as is
@@robertoferrari5397 lets be honest they probably outsource everything, only reason they can charge 4k is because of their name "playseat". I doubt playseat makes anything in house
4k please there is less aluminum in that than my kds 15ft trampoline cost 38 times less than this.
What a piece of kit! Much improved over the older design
Ur channel is so under-rated!
I have the PLAYSEAT® FORMULA Red; only $1200; as good as the Intelligence? just waiting now for TM F1 wheel to be available in Canada eh!
I have same seat. I bought it in late fall 2020 for 2800$ from official website
5:51 the seat made some V8 sounds
Wish I could justify the money for one.. Nice burp btw :P
Do you honestly think it's worth that much? I have a GT Omega titan cockpit with a fanatec DD1 podium F1 edition, handbrake, shifter and an extra wheel. My sim cost $5300 for everything.
I do like the seating position for f1 and gt games,
Its the seating position that is rarely bettered by any other Sim. The simple adjustments in this make it so much better than the standard F1 Playseat.... And no, nothing like this is "worth" that much, but do i WANT one - yes, way more than a GT Omega (no disrespect)
PS: with the Thrustmaster wheel and SF-1000 wheel it's a touch over $6k, and hell yeah I'd take that over yours, BUT, i'm a pure F1 man, so am not looking for shifters and handbrakes etc
@@EFTM I do love me some F1 f12021 is the game I'm most excited for that's coming soon. Let me know how your legs feel after a good 6hr stint in that frame, I'm as old as you but a little more broken, also what is the height from floor to the top of the wheel? I also race infont of a 65" c9 and if you pull up ok I'll have to pick one up, you know for research reasons
Maybe they don't sell a lot of these units. (Probably not a lot of people like the F1 seating position). I think if they sold more units the price would come down some.
@@EFTM Wait so you would rather have the Thrustmaster wheel and this playseat over the Fanatec DD and whatever cockpit you could get?
great quality video !!
This does look smaller and cheaper than any other sim rating setup I might invest in it
Cheaper? It’s like 2000€
@@tume2844 "look smaller and cheaper" I think what the person is saying is that for such an expensive price, it looks pretty cheap. Basically not worth the price and investing in as there are a lot of better setups out there with same/cheaper price.
What is the size of your TV in inches?
how is the red from real?
I just bought the Playseat Challenge and a T300RS with the F1 rim mod from acelith. That was around 680EUR (780USD). Enough for me, since I'm not exclusively playing race games. Of course, this one is just awesome and everybody wants it. But at what cost? Nah.
I’d really appreciate if you’d be able to send a picture because I’m going for the same setup
Does anybody know the dimensions ?
Can I please get your playseat pro or ultimate!!! I live in New Zealand.
Looks good don't get me wrong but 4k is simply a joke tbh. Parts all I will 100% not cost over a grand. Would have been interested at the 1750 to 2k but yeah the cnc parts scrap that and source cheaper materials.
4000$dollars? I made my rig out of woods look just like that and it costs 95 dollars$
The reason I don't have the video to show because when I was building it I didn't use any of the paper to scratch the lay out but I only used my brain-s
Looks like $4000 kids swing
Cool af, but 4k. And missing screws? No thanks
4k for that? Believe me if you know someone who can do welding, he can make it for you for less than half the price, i m sure their target is really dumb people
Way overpriced
$4k !? What a joke
Im sorry but that price is just not worth it. You really seem to be paying for the name. You're paying for a Ferrari but getting a corvette. Sure Corvette's are nice but I paid for a Ferrari. :)
not practical
Yeah no shit
that thing is massively overpriced...
Why racing is still done on physical tracks is beyond me
If it wasn't for real racing there wouldn't even be an f1 game 🤣
Racing is still done on physical tracks because its better for the economy and waaaaaaaaay cooler
@@dbikekid2169 Of course it needs an origin, but I have a hard time seeing it benefit the economy, and it's pretty much equally cool.
At least digitally there won't be any accidents, and the drivers can push their cars to the limits without worrying about injuries!
@@ForsakenSanityGaming millions upon millions of dollars is moved through formula one, it gives company's a platform to promote and brings in business to whatever city it visits on a much larger scale then E sports.
And the fact there wouldn't be any injuries is cool but also kind of takes away from the excitement of motorsports, if you couldn't get hurt doing a backflip it would hardly be exciting.
I'm a fan of E sports, I think these guys getting payed to play the game is awesome and it takes a lot of skill. However playing my ps4 doesn't compare to the feeling of driving a real car and its just not as cool, when your a kid whats going to give you a more out of world experience... seeing your brother play his sim rig or going to a real event to feel lewis hamilton fly by you In a life size car at 300kph? I just don't see E sports taking over real sports and more so as an action sports fan id be hella disappointed if they did.
@@dbikekid2169 Ahh yes I forgot people like seeing others get hurt.
Other than that, all those money could be moved equally if not even more through being an e-sport. Worldwide is much more than a city after all.
@@ForsakenSanityGaming It really couldn't hey, there is no multi million dollar cars being made for a game and sponsors aren't going to pay top dollar to have there name on track signage that you barely see, thousands of people aren't paying for tickets or paid tv to watch Esports, and the list goes on and on, could you introduce some of things to E sports yes but it won't happen simply because it isn't as cool as real racing.
People like watching E sports because they can play it themselfs, racing car drivers are almost like super heros in a sense they are doing something 99% of people will never do and that makes it entertaining to watch, without that the game wouldn't even be as popular as it is.
Furthermore - if you drive for an F1 team you tell the girls you meet, if you have a sim rig you try to hide it when they come over - case closed 🤣
