Exactly. Hamilton is a great driver, no one can deny that and I respect him for that. But his misplaced complaints when things don't go his way make him very unlikeable. For the driver he is I hope to see him go at it many seasons though. :)
@@jasperkempen he has an excellent pace and tire management but he can't battle wheel to wheel. Perez and Alonso gave him so much trouble despite having inferior cars, specially Alonso
But the best is that Alonso is one of the best defending the position
Hamilton is not used to being agressive due to always having the best car with margin

Proof if needed that Alonso has the best race craft in F1!! Whether it's avoiding accidents and debris, defending against a way faster car or tearing the grid apart at the start of Silverstone. He's the master!

@@zoomosis Pure skill and no luck at all. In all seriousness though Ocon did amazing to defend against a 4 time world champion even if he was in a better it's still not easy. A well earned win in my opinion and he's proven at Jeddah he can fight at the front even without the best car.
Alonso’s lap 1 at Silverstone is something else 🔥
And we get to see how to go through Copse with cars side by side without an accident.
The car on the inside will have to brake since he is on the narrower line.
@@marcsidanparker2373 Although depending on the track sometimes the narrower line can have more grip which I think Copse but depends how much rubber has been laid down
@@nathanmcdowell7306 we saw how Hamilton went wide into Max so at Copse the inside line was definitely not quicker.
And only overtook Leclerc because Leclerc dodged him and went off the track or he would have ended up on the barriers like Max.

You can tell by Hamilton's driving style and the battle with Alonso that he's used to being in the faster car. And the dangerous driving comment cracks me up every time.
Yups. He is just using his car's massive engine power. Breaking early than before cause he know he'll catch the other car at straight.
Funny thing is everyone praise his driving at Brazil. All I see a monster vehicle passing everyone at straight. Where was he before this engine update?
He forgot how to race after Rosberg left cause until this year he had no rival (Actually Mercedes had no rival :P).
Hamilton can't wheel to wheel battle. Having a monster of a car 5 consecutive years didn't help.

@@gummygnom I have to disagree, I think with Szafnuer moving there and now Prost being moved out from Advisor it shows they are obviously trying to build a better foundation for next year and it's been reported they were one of the earliest teams to adjust to the new fuel, they will have a big challenge with possible Ferrari resurgence but other than that there will surely be a few wins and podiums, maybe title challenge we'll see
@@timothysimmers2917 Yes they are putting the building blocks in place. But I think it would have been better if they changed directory and advisory staff before the 2021 season instead of three months before the coming season, because new staff first have to get used to the team during this year before they can use their full potential. Nailing the car AND the staff for this season is key, but anything could happen for sure.

6:26 Drivers should take notes on this, that's how you defend hard but fair. Alonso starts going wide in the middle of the corner and thus leaves Hamilton time to react and adjust his line.
In most occasions the driver on the inside will allow the driver on the outside to remain side by side until the exit where they leave no space and thus push the other driver off.
If you remember what Karun Chandhok said about Max and Lewis at Interlagos, this is what he probably meant. At least this is how you properly make that move. It also shows what kind of corner you need for that move to be done clean and fair. Props to Alonso for this.
in general, such defence is not possible at every track, works at Hungaroring but not Interlagos, anyway, Max should have give the position back to Lewis just as Lewis should give back at Abu Dhabi
Lewis is know for pushing people of off track. Even in this clip he pushed perez off track in Turkey

After Hamilton's radio saying "At that speed is so dangerous man" I knew that I didn't want him to win the championship.
Lewis is a baby like on Alonso he was just defending and he called him dangerous but then shoves Perez into pitlane
The fact that Alonso spins that easily after the Bottas/Russell Imola incident just shows how much a spillage/debris effects a cars stability and grip.
I think it was more that he was on slicks on a wet surface with not enough speed for the aero to take effect

sadly a lot of scenes aren´t included. e.g. you can think of abu dhabi what you want, but the last lap was just awesome to watch from Max´s perspective

@@orlandohenriques5642 that's mainly cuz hamilton complaints about everything all the time. at this point his complaints are just not creditable anymore. and more often then not. when verstappen complaints, it's justified. and despite me being a dutchie i do have this to say bout the monza incident. verstappens complaint may not have been justified but the move surtainly was. i've heard a lot off creditable people (best one is scott mansell IMO) saying they would've done the same. as a simracing driver i will have to agree.
