The Forbidden Forest set, while not being a great set, is an inexpensive way to get Buckbeak for the people who skipped the Hogwarts Courtyard: Sirius's Rescue set. The Forbidden Forest set can also be attached to the new Hagrid's Hut.
I really like the Privet Drive set. I think the trunk is really nice. It's like Harry left it sitting there getting ready to go to school. I don't have very many Harry Potter sets but this was a must-have for me.
The Flying Ford Anglia is the only one of these small new sets to have sold out over here in the UK. Best value for money out of these sets and the only one I'll pick up some day.
I really love the trunk actually lmao, like a lot. Hedwig is hot and all, but I'd rather buy the bigger version to really appreciate her fully. But the trunk just feels comfy and so wizardy to me
I think the sorting hat is awesome, but I have also seen a video of Mega’s 343 Guilty Spark that will be releasing this year. That set also talks and the video I watched the sound quality for Mega was far better. Nonetheless I’m always glad to see Harry Potter collector sets.
These feel like good ideas with a low/wasted execution or afterthought results. Not necessarily bad, just niche and forgettable overall. The sound brick has potential, but I'm sensing an "excuse" to make certain products expensive/overpriced if reused (still appreciate the sorting hat for what it is tho)
The Hedwig may be able to fit in with my Buildable Harry & Hermione, Dobby, Stag, the two trunks stacked on each other but the little chest looks too small for their hands..

I feel like the buildable hedwig and privet drive sign are made to appeal to Harry Potter fans who come into the lego store wanting to buy soemthing little, but have never bought a Lego set before or plan to buy another one. I feel like it's filling a spot on the market for random mall goers who enter lego and r like this is kitschy and then will buy it instead of nothing.

i would like to see a buildable set based off of the Weasley house, it looks like someone from Lego went crazy trying to build a house not out of plastic, so it fits.
"Overpriced Gimmicky Sets" describes this March wave of Harry Potter in general to me. I got the Sorting Hat, Hagrid's Hut, Boat House and Owlery and they all felt ridiculously overpriced for what little they offer (even though I got them all with 15% off each). These smaller ones I gave a pass for now 'cause even with 15% off they just feel like a rip-off. The Sorting Hat is definitely the best of the batch...but the entire sound brick is a pointless useless gimmick that was put there clearly to inflate the price of what should've been a 65€ display set.

I would definately go with Diagon/Gringotts, in terms of Hogwarts since they've just started a new system I think it's way better off waiting to see how that goes rather than buying the old system. And those Modular DA buildings are fantastic
The privet drive set I found at my local dollar store and when I saw it too me looked a little weird even without a minifigure and Holly I think you would be a good hogwarts student and gryffindor as your house and I would love to be a student at hogwarts too

i like the forbidden forest set, if it was $10 cheaper everyone would love it, I think white buckbeak works well.

If Lego designers purposefully don’t go for accuracy and you know that, it feels unfair to criticize the accuracy.

The forbidden forest is absolutely a part’s pack. The tree build is a great set filler. I’ve bought two sets mostly just for those trees.
The tree build is fantastic, would be so good to to help fill out an enviroment and since there's not many pieces to it, it would be cheap too
