He went to his car, came back to give me my gun, apologized and left.

A warning: do your research on the dd43 before trying to put one together. Lots of people (myself included) have had problems with the design. I have yet to see anybody take one past 500 rds.
On 3D printed stuff, p80 lowers, etc. I always rack the slide like 100 times while I'm watching youtube videos.. half way through I'll add some lube and just keep racking it over and over.. It simulates a good 100 rounds break in and will usually slide much better by the end and works flawlessly when you go shooting.
Paul Harrell suggests you do this with all new guns, for the exact reason you stated. I don't remember a specific number but I remember him saying just sit in front of the TV and rack it over and over, lol.
@@ATSaale Wise man.. The key point is that it works. I had a p80 g17 that was getting hung up and felt rough and gritty. Everything was clean and cut right, so I couldn't really figure out exactly where the issue was; So I just sat there and racked it a lot while watching a movie.. and I do this a lot anyway for "dry fire" practice; Because it helps you burn in your aiming muscle memory. Anyway, the slide smoothed out by the end of the day and became fully reliable. So from then on, I just do it as a part of the routine on any new pistol.

So im so confused. I put the shield arms mag catch as it said and put and OEM magazine and for the life of me couldnt release it. The print was PERFECT, PETG-CF12, looked better than any PLA+. As perfect as can be with anything i ever saw on reddit with my forgemaster 5M PRO in .12 height 4 walls everything. Thing looked molded. Yet it wouldnt drop the OEM mag to the point i had to dremel the fucking thing in half to take the mag out. So what im asking is now im realizing if i have to run the S15 mag catch I DO have to run it with the S15 mag right? OR does the DD43x.1 just accept OEM mag catch with the OEM mag and actually release the mag? God I hope thats the case.
All of mine work, zero failures on my carry mags that I’ve ran 700+ rounds through. What issues have you had with them? Did you change the mag release or leave the stock one?
You can glue a nfc tag inside a hollow part of the frame and have you print say nfc in that spot or you can make a small plate with numbers on it and press it into the frame when the metal is hot. Or all the above if your evil state government likes.

shield mags are poop they have a very fatal flaw where the spring rubs the mag release and causes issues also the mag can tilt and cause feeding issues. found out after i spent a million dollars on them told the whole setup after

There's also PSA dagger micro mags that are good too. 15 rounders that work with the plastic magwell.
And plastic mag release.
The only problem is their double-stack single feed. Complete PITA to load without a tool.

Local laws differ, not sure about carrying anything without a serial here, they added a law about it a year or two ago
cannot posess a firearm with no serial numbers in MN, they treat it the same as if you scratch it off. Same part of the statute
