    I put a driver shaft in it, you have to mess with swing weight a little to get the sweet spot , it helps that i play D9 in Driver , you might have to play a lighter shaft and grip to get close to D3 its standard SW, but its a hell of a Beast when you get it. I have both the SLDR mini and the TM 300 mini, the SLDR mini cost about £80, I did a bit of a paint job on it because I wasn't a fan of the grey colour and it's now a nice matt black, the TM 300 mini cost over £300 but I prefer the SLDR, more a beefed up 3 wood rather than a mini driver, great in the summer months when a driver just rolls a bit too far. Looking forward to Sam's review on all the mini's 😁

    Just thought I'd chime in here. I bought a single length driver fitted to my wrist/floor which is 41.5inch. My drives are really straight or with a slight fade at times. I don't swing out of my socks due to knee surgeries and I carry the ball anywhere from 250-280yards depending on smash factor

  • @adamw9764
    @adamw9764 3 месяца назад +3

    I like the 300 mini, been a fun little club for certain courses and weather conditions. The new one seems to be getting a lot of really good reviews, enough for me to consider trying it out against my 300 mini. I have a 3 wood in the bag that I really like, but don't hit it a lot and a mini driver could make its way into the bag.
    When doing side by side tests of the 300 mini vs my driver (Ping G430 10k), the mini is about 15 yards shorter (which is what I want it to be) and very very good for tight holes and shorter par 4's where the landing area for a driver is a bit crazy. Great video, Gary!

    I picked up the new one to give it a try but it only makes sense for two type of players, those who can’t hit a proper driver and those who hit like 300 yards with their current driver. If you hit 250 less with your driver, you are using your fairway woods from the deck more than 50% of the time for long Par 5s. You can hit the mini from the deck but I think a proper fairway is much easier.
    If you can’t hit a driver, IMO, I think lessons and practice to figure out your driver swing are a more sound investment as the drivers today are soo long and forgiving.

    Hit it off the fairway if you are comparing it to a fairway wood

      The question I was most bothered about answering is, is it longer and easier to hit than a fairway wood for teeing off.

    Wouldn't a better comparison be to plot it against a 3 wood? I always thought that the Mini Driver was basically a 2 wood, but I could be wrong on that

      I personally hit a 4 wood further than a 3 wood due to struggling with low lofted fairways. I would recommend that anybody who strikes a good 3 wood, should like you said, definitely make sure this goes further before buying.

      This comparison made no sense to me. I think most golfers will drop the 3 wood & not the driver if they put the BRNR in the bag.

      @@garymartingolf - Good, I think the last thing an average golfer wants to do is lose distance so taking the driver out of the bag is a no go even if they have more consistency with the BRNR. I can see putting the BNRN in my bag if I hit it better then a 3 wood off the turf & then it would still be in my bag for tight holes off the tee. I've heard the BRNR is really not designed for hitting off the turf.

      @@jameslynch4042 I don’t think it is, I think it’s designed to replace driver, and be like a giant 3 wood for the person who hits it great off the tee with fairway woods and struggles with driver, hence the first video.
      I do think people would be interested to see if it does play off the fairway though, like you said, if they’re going to consider replacing a 3 wood, and not carrying this mini driver as an additional club, it will need to be good off the fairway.
