    This build was a show-rig I did for the Gigabyte Suite at computex 2016. The mod is build around the color scheme of the red/black/white motherboard, and all cables and watercooling has been made to match this.
    For this build I made a complete sidepanel with integrated cable routing and water routing channels. All cables beside the pump cables runs into this plate, and is neatly routed to the PSU.
    The side panel is made from a 25 mm thick acrylic plate that has been CNC machined to make room for the watercooilng and cables.
    Specs:
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X99-ULTRA Gaming
    Graphic cards: Gigabyte 980TI G1 gaming
    CPU: Intel i7 6900K
    SSD: Intel 750 400 gb PCIe ssd
    RAM: 32 gb corsair Vengeance 3000 mhz
    PSU: Corsair HX1200i
    Case: Hex Gear R80
    Watercooling: EK waterblocks
    Fittings: Bitspower
    Tubing: E22 solid tubing

    The rear panel cable routing is one of the most creative things I've seen in a case mod in a long time. VERY well done. :D

    This is amazing! I remember seeing this in I dont even remember whos video of the gigabyte suite and this one just stood out to me! I do have a question though, do you work for a place that does acrylic manufacturing and if so what kind of stuff did you learn to work there? There is a place like that by my new apartment and I'm thinking of learning the stuff it takes to get a job there or even to just do it myself if possible. Thanks for any insight you can give into this, and I'm loving every build of yours I see!

    • @metap0Pe
      @metap0Pe  8 лет назад +1

      I do not. I have tought myself to use 3D programs, and have been learning how to do the acrylic trough trial and error. I hold a bachelors degree in engineering specialized in integrated designs, and work at a company that makes high-end injection molded furniture. My best tip would be to figure out what you like to do, and find an education relevant to that.

    You seem to have quite some experience with water cooling, how safe can a custom distribution be to avoid leaks?
    That's my greatest fear and the only reason I haven't ever tried anything water cooled

    • @metap0Pe
      @metap0Pe  6 лет назад

      When built right it is as safe as any waterblock, as they work on the same principle (o-rings to seal). If you by custom distribution mean a custom loop, then it is even easier. Check out the water cooling discord server if you want to know more about watercooling. discord.gg/Ae2CsHn

    Hey I'm a new sub to your channel and I stumbled upon it because I'm interested in making my first custom loop build. The problem I'm running into is I like to go all out on stuff and I have zero clue on how to build a custom loop. I was wondering if you make custom show pieces for other people? I'm looking to mod a NZXT Manta case to be mATX and watercooled.

    • @geort45
      @geort45 6 лет назад

      It does inspire, however I dunno how much market is for these totally customed cases. Myself would want to do something like this, I know how to model in solidworks too but don't have a CNC router or machining experience. If you have the resources and time to do this as a hobby and the occasional client then it's great, but to quit your dayjob it's another story... as much as you and me and many of the people that watched this video would want to buy something like this, it's a VERY VERY small niche market IMO. Other than that, it's still great to watch something like this, at least it raises the bar and gives new ideas to DIY modders around the world :)

      Could you possibly just tell me, did you engrave (hopefully the correct term) a thick panel and close it off with a thinner one? and if so do you just glue it watertight or are the black lines actual rubber seals made to fit?
      I would love to do something similar, just trying to see what i would need. i plan on using a thermaltake p5, so making it fit would be easy and i could possibly even reuse the acrylic sidepannel that comes with it to close off the engraved panel

    • @anonymoususer990
      @anonymoususer990 8 лет назад +1

      No, water cooling can leak in rare occasions and if it does leak will damage core components. There is a huge difference between proper water cooling (as seen in this video, i.e. in tubes) and spraying water directly on core components like the CPU. There are thousands and thousands of successful water cooling setups out there. However, if this is your first build, you should start with air cooling and upgrade to water cooling later on with more experience.

      +Jamal Johnson how so? there will be another motherboard out in a year or 2 with a new cpu socket and a bunch of other new stuff and a lot of the work that goes into this system will have to be redone from scratch if you want top of the line. I understand this is an enthusiast machine and not a professional one but I'm just saying all this extra work doesn't make it perform better, it's more form then function
