Only 1 thing could be more perfect and prestine and beautiful.... solid copper bus bar wiring in clear plastic sleeves... my OCD has been considering it, lol. Seriously though, as a professional electrical engineer, these are solid skills and I hope you work as an electrician. Rarely follow but will.
I've finally learned what I've seen others try to teach and you did it without talking, placed a step by step "how to" diagram without #'s or words. You just taught your method in the most streamlined and understandable way possible. And you published this solo five minute tutorial in a way that every single capable person on the planet can use. I know that there are many people seeing this who realize this but I am pointing them out for the ones who don't. This five minute clip is probably the most efficient tutorial I think I've ever seen not just on youtube but instruction manuals and other forms of information. Brilliant. Have you ever thought of working for a large firm innovating tutorials. Being able to show how to use a companies product universally to the masses is an invaluable asset for international organizations. I wouldn't sell yourself short though. Thanks for the video bro. Your case is dope.
There are people that like things organized. Then there is this level. I give you major props, I don't think I'll ever have that much patience in my life to do something similar, but the result is absolutely amazing!
I don't think I'll ever attempt anything this involved for custom cables but WOW is that build CLEAN and SEXY! Awesome video and thank you for sharing this awesome combination of knowledge and effort.
Your work is meticulous and beautiful. Very well done. My dad used to work on big ships and as a child, I remember seeing miles of cables run in the same fashion, carefully cut to length and well dressed. I strive to do this level of work, but seem to somehow come out lacking on one or two of the wires before I'm finished. Thanks for the video. Again, excellent work!
Wow. Now it makes sense to put a tempered glass on both sides. Fantastic work. This was the most perfectionism work with cables sleeves. I don't even know how much time you spend doing all this. Such a beatiful work.
Hey man! I appreciate this tutorial! I just did what you did here and got a lot of compliments. I could not have done it without you man. Many many thanks!
Thx for the upload, It's kind of funny I do this at least once a month as a HD mechanic (except the color covers) and I always wanted to order these cables for my builds, but thanks to your video I put the 2 together and I'll start building my own cables thx again :)
Very good video. Great angles and great music. By the way you insert the terminals to the connectors on the PSU side it looks as if you memorized where every wire goes into by heart. If that is the case I salute you.
Oh, my god, this cable management is outstanding, which means you even count and set the length for each cable between the motherboard (and the connecting devices) to the PSU, then mod the cables and make their length even......, fantastic!
Reminded me when I first sleeved my psu. Took nights but feeling that tidiness as well as the rigidity of it stay in a nice curve for the first time is such an reward.
Man you inspired me to make fully custom handmade cables, for my silverstone psu from start, using mdpc-x products and custom made cnc cable combs. For a first timer the result is insane! Thanks a lot man. I owe you my work!
I did custom cables back in 2011, inspired by MDPC builds, and its an insane amount of work. Later when I wanted to make changes, d'oh, cables were only good for that build. Looks great, but I'd never do it again.
ScytheNoire nah making custom length cables never a good idea if you plan to use them in another build or if you upgrade, better buying an extension kit or leaving some extra length in the cable
I love how RUclips makes it possible for people who suffer from chronic OCD, to make a living from their condition! Instead of being put in asylums. :P
I saw a photo on Facebook; it showed a mom from the 1950's and the caption read: You may think I'm OCD, but I think you're a slacker who can't get things right.
Savage, you are a savage. I love building PC's but even if I did it for a living idk if I could go this hard. Keep it up dude I hope to buy a pc from you one day.
Well done & attention to details this is definitely a finishing touch that u can’t know till it’s all out together. I still want to do mine. Did the the car so why not the media pc.
Hahaha =D I have the notification on, but anyway it means a lot that you remembered, and thank you for that ^-^ and don't worry about me liking you work, it's inspiring, refresing and perfect as it can be !
The level of OCD work put into something which shows 10% of the work, and hides the rest speaks to me 😆 It really does make or break the look of a build. Clean stuff!
I do not like water cooling in general, but the organization of the cables is incredible. That's exactly what I like about modular power supplies. You can connect only the cables you need, not have a bunch of people wondering where to hide.
Increible. Aca en Argentina no se ven estas cosas. Me gustaria poder aprender mas respecto de los articulos que se utilizan, las pinzas, los tipos de cable para los distintos conectores, los conectores, las mallas para los cables. Un trabajo estupendo.
Man, this is some next level stuff and it's a 6year old video. You are awesome Hans! I was wondering where you get that kind of color,orange/rust, for the PET sleeve? Is that custom as well? Would love to use that on my build. Cheers!
Yeah, but that is a complete different ball game 🤣 it is quite nervewrecking to solder into a 500$ motherboard. You also need quite a powerful solder iron.
This is what i really wa t to do with my 1st build. If I'm doing it Imma do it right. Hopefully no terrible mistakes which is why Im buying 2 of every cable. Btw awesome work!
Wow, this really makes for some beautiful cable management. Now I want to sleeve all of my own cables. All I need is a wiring diagram for my EVGA Supernova 850 G2 and the supplies the guy in the video is using. lol :X
Love it! Thank you so much! Could you please try to make a video about your incredible reservoirs too? They are the coolest looking on the whole internetz!
Kudos for all that hard work. One day perhaps I'll do the same as you. Edit: Okay I was kidding. Maybe I'll just do my own custom cable extensions or just have someone else do it for me.
this is so cool , i want to do something like that for my pc . the power supplu i have is semi modular, but you gave me an inside how to do it ! thanks
hey i like this video you made., so much detail but i wish you would of put a list of the tools u use to make this cable sleeve work that would help me out a lot, because i was thinking about investing some money into this. i would appreciate if you can make a list of the tools you used.
today i tried translucent heat shrink from mdpc-x and it worked perfectly. you can see when the sleeving is perfectly molten and then pull it off. Also it doesnt burn (unless you leave the flame like 20 seconds) and it doesnt leave bunnmarks on the pin.
I'll be upgrading my PC by the end of the year and I was looking into watercooling, could you recommend me a guide to learn how to do this properly? Is this really worth it? I have a NZXT KRAKEN X61 cooling block that has worked well for the past 3 years. Great build! well done :)
Pretty good! I was wondering why you were sleeving at the last moment upon attaching the ATX cabling? It looked like you measured before hand in the beginning of the video. And who makes those long black cable holders or combs? Nice work! I did something similar with standard BitFenix 24Pin ATX Alchemy Kit but eventually I may want to do custom colored/length sleeves. The only difference was I routed the ATX and the motherboard power cable on the left side right under the lower two hard drive bays. And I barely had enough cable length to work with to reach my PSU. The Phanteks Enthoo Evolv TG was a an absolute dream to work in.
I finished up the last end of all the cables once all cables are routed (step 6-8) so that they are the perfect length. If you just measure and cut from the beginning you will have incorrect length cables. I custom made those combs, but you can get a set from clockwerkinduestries as I gave him the 3D files :)
What is the fundamental difference between the heat shrink method tension strength and crimping the terminal plug to the wire and sleeve tension strength? Since the connection are hidden in the plug, aesthetics isn't the issue here. I'd just be afraid after time passed, the heat shrink method would pull away. Can you confirm which would be a more sound connection?
The heatshrinkless method that I use in this video is by far the most stable one, as that melts the plastic to the terminal. Crimping the sleeve to the connector is a quick way to do it, but it would never last in my builds as I stretch the sleeving quite much for it not to be "baggy".
i've seen almost all the mods on youtube.. but trust me you're the only modder who's skill are no match.. you're my top 1 man.. love your work..
Thank you so much! And sorry for the late reply:D

That cable management is cleaner than my hands, and with the coronavirus they are pretty clean.
Your custom cable combs you mounted to the case are by far what makes your build the best looking build I have ever seen!! Great job man!!

It's one thing to have a high end gaming pc, but it is totally another to have a high end gaming pc that is also a work of art. Great work!
Holy shit, this is amazing! Well done man!

Looks great, flawless work. Good job
This can easily be a patience and discipline test for modern-day Shaolin monks. Marvelous work!
i had no idea you could make your own cables. i always thought big companies only made and sold those.
very good ideas and wonderful art work
The best by far. Thanks so much for inspiring us 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Great video man, love the color scheme too!
This cable management is so good, If it was mine, I'd put a window on the cable side just to look at that instead
Awesome, as always. Just a quick question, how are those cablecombs on the back of the tray done?
3D-Printed? Lasercut acryl?
Thank you! They are made from 10 mm lasercut acrylic.
Locally
are you s the instrutions or CAD drawings
Does anyone know if these can be purchased on a retail site?
