Considering color theory, Huggy himself is interesting. Blue is a calm, cool color. His red mouth, however, fits into your idea of red suggesting danger. Yellow is typically regarded as a friendly color. 🤔
My problem with the part about Huggy is that when he starts to attack you, you're heading back on yourself. You're going back to the room in the main area of the factory where he originally was. By chasing you, he effectively forced you into the vents and subsequently into Poppy's area. Unless the main lobby has direct access to Poppy's room, which given the lengths the company has taken to seclude that area from the rest of the factory is unlikely, it would seem counter intuitive for him to attack you then and there.

I personally think Huggy was toying with you and wanted you to get further into the factory before attacking so you wouldn't be able to escape. I also think Poppy is Stella and that she's on our side.
@@Tericho True, but given the lengths that they've seemed to have gone to isolate Poppy from the rest of the facility, it would have likely taken longer for your character to reach her if he was allowed to go back on himself. Huggy forced you into a one way trip towards Poppy when your character might have wasted time going to the theater instead.
This game is starting to look like it’ll pan out like Outlast… with several different stages with bosses who have been ruling over those stages for 10 years until we, the protagonist, arrive and start making waves
regarding this 6:04, i have another theory. the reason huggy gives us the keys in the beginning is so that he can lead us to poppy's place. if you notice, huggy chases us to the flower, so it seems like he wanted to lead us there.
I don't think Poppy was the one who sent the letter because she was asleep all the time the way she talks when you open her case is like someone awakening and surprised to see you . I think someone else sent the letter and his signature has a Poppy symbol on it after all the factory is called Poppy Playtime
Originally, I was dead set on Poppy being evil. My evidence was in the room where you first see encounter Huggy. There were multiple doors surrounding the dome-like room, each with one of the characters painted beside them. On the largest door, the one with "Innovation" written on it (probably the Innovation Wing, talked about many times before and is defenitly a very important room). This door had a painting of Poppy above it. I thought for the longest time, before the whole "Mommy Long Legs" leak came out with the NFTs, that we would go into the doors one by one facing the creepy monster version of the toy painted on the door, since Huggy was outside of the two doors we did go into, however they are going away from this since it seems we will be going through the door in Poppy's room and seeing new toys. But anyways, before I thought since Poppy was the face of the Innovation Wing, I thought she would be our finale boss. I'm having second thoughts now, and I honestly have no clue whatsoever what role Poppy has in everything. Mod Games have done a really good job, I've analyzed all the lore we were given and have no idea. I'm so excited for future chapters to uncover more and figure out the whole story like I've done with Bendy and the Ink Machine.
Huggy definitely is smart enough to plan because he baits you into going deeper into the factory and keeps making sure you're going to the right place. If you look at people who "break" the game, you can see that huggy purposely put his hand at the door for you to see it because the animation looks like he is waiting by the door when he does that. In the Ch 1 trailer, you can see that Huggy is behind you after you enter that passage and look back so he is making sure you are there. He keeps his tabs on you when you are getting the red claw too. It's almost as though he lead you to the red claw area. Huggy also could have easily grabbed you when you walk into the dark hallway before he chases you into the vents but he doesn't. I find that really weird. He also will stare at you if you are in the vent until you go down. Ofc, they could be due to gaming mechanics but it definitely seems like he was luring you to the vents, at least. I don't think him leading you to Poppy is necessarily what he was planning though. I'm kinda stumped on what his motive was.
Remeber how the factory tours had to be over at 8 pm or security would come? I feel like it's heavily implied that huggy is like a "security guard" and maybe he only attacks you when you're in prohibited areas I nthe factory? I'm confused too as to what huggys true intentions were
I noticed with the video tapes, the guy who got killed whilst recording’s hand on the tape was a skelton showing that he died, but Stella’s was a human hand. Is she alive?
I'd consider Waggy's "approach" in apprehending or preventing us from reaching Poppy to be further proof of Poppy's evil nature. As you said, we do not know how intelligent Waggy is, but it seems to be able to understand what is dangerous and what isn't to him or the factory. Thus, maybe he concludes that since we have the toy which allows us to meet Poppy, he considers us an accomplice of hers. Anyone that wants to help her is an enemy that should be disposed of. And that's because Poppy is the main enemy .

In the vents there are multiple writings noting: “leave her to die”. You can see one after you had to crouch, huggy walks further and you’re save until you walk further. Any idea what this means?
I think the word "her" is for Poppy, but why does the perosn who wrote that say her instead of Poppy's name? Maybe he or she is terrified by poppy until they dont want to say her name. But i think when they wrote "leave her to die" is because Poppy looks very alive until maybe a soul is trapped inside and try to get out and tried to get attention from other co workers but instead of helping they got scared and did not care, it made her really mad she haunted them until they warned us about poppy and to let her be trapped and stay inside the glass box until the soul disapears or as they refferred "die". Tbh idk if this is true this is just my ideas about the words.
Tbh I think that maybe that is a hint for future chapters almost as if shes going to help and then betray us because there is a possibility that Poppy is working with one of the dangerous prototypes or even 2
Did anyone realize how weird the poppy around the door is? Yes, a human could paint with a crane contraption kind of thing, but all the employees disapeared? Maybe Mommy Longlegs painted it and the whole game was her set up plan in the end.
Yo Tericho I have a theory for you, let me know your thoughts on it. What if the CCTV Security Cams aren't taking place BETWEEN chapter 1 and 2 like everybody thinks, and the cameras are actually from AFTER Chapter 2 and we just don't know it yet because it ends up being some sort of Inception-style surprise? My reasoning for this: So we know there is what is clearly a Red grab pack arm(this isn't Mommy Long Legs arm, it's pretty obvious by the size ratio of the hand to the arm) coming out of one of the toy pots in the Make a Friend room. We don't know whose it is, but it definitely seems to have been left there by someone, who I would imagine had to drop it quickly and leave it behind while in a panic. What if that's actually OUR (the main protagonist's) Red grab pack hand. As seen in the Chapter 2 trailer, we clearly lose our Red hand at some point in the chapter, before acquiring the Green hand. My theory is that perhaps at the start of chapter 2 we are in poppy's room and Mommy Long Legs comes out of the door and chases us all the way back to the Make a Friend room where we narrowly escape her by going up into one of the toy pots. But she ends up clutching onto our Red hand and we end up having to leave it behind to escape. Of course, if my theory ends up being correct and the cameras are actually from after chapter 2, this would mean we will also hopefully get to the events pertaining to the cat-bee and it being murdered and dragged off in the Playtime Area! Let me know your thoughts on if you think this could be a legitimate scenario or not!
I had this small theroy; what if she wants to earn her " human body back ", yes Poppy may had been an orphan that turned to doll, but instead of escaping the factory & having revenge, she wants to earn a body to continue living instead of begin a toy.
During the whole Huggy part, I believe you come to find out that Huggy is actually pretty loyal and served his loyalty to Mommy Long Legs, and later in chapter 2 you find out Mommy put Poppy in the box. So perhaps the reason why he tried killing us was because he was following orders from mommy
I personally think that Poppy chose to be a doll because on the tape with stella she wanted to be a doll and play with children. But immediately regretted it because she was the first prototype she was treated like an ornament in a museum than a toy. She wants to escape now and now she want a new body. Maybe our character is a toy the most realistic one. She may have invited us here to take our body. Maybe the danger signs and huggy wuggy are true and shes tried to take someone elses body before and failed. So I think she will act nice throughtout the game but make out everyone else is bad. When they may not be and then when we have gained her trust she will take control.

also in the chaper 2 trailer poppy tells us ‘you are perfect, too perfect to lose’ which could indicate poppy is getting revenge and she wants us to help her (as we are much bigger than she is) OR we are perfect for mommy long legs idk
There are two immediate thoughts that spring to mind as to this theory, both for varying reasons. The first one comes from the lore of the game Warframe, where during the history of the Orokin (a galatic empire that collapsed) they did something known as Continuity, to forcibly transfer their consciousness into a younger, more suitable host. It was normally done with children (!) so they could live "extended" lives. The second one comes from, surprisingly, Doctor Who. In a few significant episodes, whenever the Doctor finds an enemy that wants to use him for their own means, he acts as judge, jury and executioner on his own terms. Could it be that Poppy plans to do that somehow, while the other big toys are trying to stop her, while you're caught in the middle and unsure who to trust?
I had a small theory involving chapter two and chapter one. In chapter one, in the vents, the writing on the walls are all different colors just like the huggys in chapter 2 trailer. possibly they are intelligent enough to write those warnings around her door and each color indicating a different huggy. You see red, yellow, and blue around the door, and in the vents you see red, violet/pink, turquoise, and dark blue. now i guess this isn't a theory but it could be a start of one.
If Poppy actually evil, it doesn't surprise me. Because Poppy is a victim of human experiment, turn her into a doll. You know the game title "Poppy Playtime" more like "Poppy's playtime", she's trying to play with your trust. When you trust her enough, in the end she'll trying to get your body and finally her soul free from the doll. Sorry for bad English.
Considering that Poppy starts out friendly to the player reminds me of how Chucky hides behind the innocence of the Good Guys dolls and befriends kids in the films before killing people and later revealing his evil, sociopathic identify as Charles Lee Ray when he cannot hide it anymore. They are both creepy, talking redhead child dolls designed to emotionslly connect to children. And if Poppy also has someone else's soul inside her, what means did the factory use to achieve that? And what would happen in the player just crushed Poppy into a million porcelain pieces, because she really does seem fragile compared to the other toys in the factory.
My theory is that Poppy contain the souls of a orphan AND Stella, a staff member who was eager for the job. Stella is seeking to start the factory again and make more toys, while the orphan part of her is seeking revenge/trying to escape with other staff members.
I have a strong feeling Poppy isn't inherently evil. I agree, I think it was Stella, and I don't think she consented to it, or maybe she didn't know the extent she was agreeing to. I noticed the same things: same actress, questionable response in chapter 1, that Huggy seems to either be protecting Poppy or us, the child-like writing and spelling. I could see it being a revenge thing, but no matter what way I look at it I have a feeling that she isn't evil, at least by choice. You brought up very interesting points to counter that argument though. I'm impressed how you can look at things from multiple angles to come up with different theories. Can't wait to see your content when chapter two comes out. I don't entirely support the developer(s) because of the NFT business and other things I've heard, but I am happy to support a content creator, and learning what happens in the game. I'll give credit where it's due, they did make a very interesting game and plot line.

Well what if poppy was created from a humans heart (which would be stellas) and from the scientists themselves? Ik it doesn't make sense and no there isn't evidence to support this much but it comes across sensible, if poppy was already made to have her own mind set and then later Stella was merged with her she would have split personalitys. However well have to wait till chapter 2 to confirm anything...
In the poppy playtime tape when you first start the game when she’s sitting in the chair there’s blood, might be from the voice box and in the trailer we can find poppy in the same area

I HAVE ANOTHER THING TO ADD. So yk how there was the "incident" with (what is ASSUMED to be) huggy. What if Poppy was the one that did it? Think about it, huggy was representing the company, they kept him on display in the ENTRANCE area, and he was free to wonder. While poppy was shut off from everything, had HELLA warnings in the path to her and she was the ONLY one we've seen locked up.
Bro....i think just the fact that poppy: - has red ponytails - is a thing meant for Children - Has something to do with dead people being put in unliving things for childrem - has a puffy dress And so on and on She can kind of remind you of another similar character to her who also was nice in the beginning but ended stabbing us in the back
What if the poppy doll house display, was a part of the tour. But the shelf is now there as a barricade and the graffiti on the wall is a warning that she turned evil. The back area that Huggy chases you to is where the staff goes to prep and clean easier
What if we are Elliott Ludwig? When the toys escaped and the factory was in chaos, Elliott escaped and locked up the factory making sure the toys don't escape, but then the letter arrives and Elliott thinks that they might get out because how did they send that letter? So he goes back to ensure that they don't get out. And maybe the reason the toys don't recognize him is because he wasn't present for the experiments. So if it was Poopy who sent the letter asking for help, thinking that he is just an ex- employee, doesn't know it is him.
I was always thinking that huggy was only aggressive because it was trying to lead you to where it wanted you to go. You started going off someplace Poppy (or whoever else is commanding them) and they had to send huggy to scare you in the right direction. Also with all the spider talk the winding walkways while not in the shape of one are like a web the brought us straight to the "spider"
I think I figured it out. When Poppy was talking at the end of the game, the train was going fast and away from the prototype. I think Poppy was controlled by him, and when you heard her say, 'What the,' the prototype lost connection with her, and she became herself again. That might be the reason why she was acting different. She also said, 'Whenever I want you to do something, you are capable.' I think that's the prototype saying that because we did help him get Mommy Long Legs' body and huggy wuggy too. That's why I think it was the prototype taking control of her.
some things that perhaps NOBODY will have noticed in Poppy Playtime chapter 2/3: 1. I don't know if you can see it but if you hack the game and exit the map you can see white writing with disturbing things written on it 2. I don't even remember how to hack this thing but if you hack it again and go to the Game station you can see Poppy tied up with the cobwebs of Mommy long legs 3. In chapter 3 of the game there are some secret scenes of Catnap also because one that interested me a lot, in one of these secret scenes of Catnap you can see him and PJ pugapillar tied together with the remains of the other toys 4. Ms. delight was the only teacher at the Playcare school for orphaned children, also because in some videocassettes that they put on RUclips in one of these I saw her kill her sisters. But this is beside the point, the only question I'm asking myself is "Was she always like this in her current form or was she just an orphaned girl who was transformed into this robot?" 5. As we all know at the beginning of the game we can contact us directly together with Ollie, but who is she really? We can't know her true identity about who she is, also because how does she know the whole Playcare, and why is she helping us? Some believe she is the prototype and others believe she is a toy
Honestly, I think there are 4-6 possessed Poppys, with you being one of them. (More than 1 person definitely wrote that letter) That’s why Poppy seems so threatening, but not necessarily to the player. Either that, or you are a doll meant to be the “Ken” to Poppy’s “Barbie”.
Why is there only one doll of Poppy, like if you would look around the factory you would see alot of the same characters in boxes and all, but how come there is none for Poppy
i think poppy locked herself up, hung up some ''killed'' dolls on ropes in front of the entrance of her room (the poppy flower) to make the other dolls afraid of her presence, however, why did she lock herself up? why did she string those dead dolls on ropes up? no clue
The best guess I can come up with is that poppy was trying to save herself from the dangerous toys who wanted to kill her and that fear was the only thing she could do in her scenario. I don’t really know but I really hope poppy actually helps us since I think Stella is poppy and she doesn’t seem like the type of person who would be pissed about being a toy based on her interview. I agree with matpat theory that poppy might be trying to help us, but maybe she could be another circus baby, i don’t really know. The let me go and help me could be Stella not being able to make kids happy and being kept as an example of the perfect prototype and not the sellable toy she was promised. This may sound like a stretch but here's a prediction on the Chapter 2 release date. Poppy Playtime may potentially release on 4.22.22. I say this is because the Trailer of Chapter 2 was on 2.22.22. This might be a stretch but Mommy Long Legs has 4 legs, So let's make the date now 4.22.22 & If this is correct, then the Chapter will drop 2 months after the Trailer.
I think the letter to find the missing employees was actually a trap set by poppy so she could be found and released bc why would there be some many warnings to stop and turn back and not to go in the flower if the employees actually wanted us to find it poppy is definitely manipulating the protagonist and I think that not only the employees but the orphans were used to make the toys

11:59, you might be right, the letter is really bad grammar that grown ups would most likely know is not correct, but since poppy is really small, she might have thought it was real looking enough for us to fall for it, which we did. But it could have been that they were in a big rush they had no time to correct themselves.
I personally think that the developers are arranging a technique. They’re making the story in itself unique, then coming back to the basics. What i mean is i think from the start poppy will be an ally, then, by the end she will be an enemy. I think what will happen is poppy is stella. she’s the first experiment of playtime co. I think when she was originally introduced to the idea of making toys “real” she loved it. Hence that connecting to the interview she did. but when they told her she would ultimately become the toy she wasn’t for it. She ended up getting killed anyway and turned into poppy. Eventually she saw her opportunity to take revenge. She became violent and tried to kill all of the scientists. i think one of the toys actually got a hold of her and shut her in to try and protect her. i’m assuming that person is mommy long legs. by the way poppy talks about her she describes her as if she already knows a lot about her which is why i think that is. I think now that you’ve invaded for whatever apparent reason, she’s going to use you to try and become human again. I think the game is going to end with her finding out that she is forever a toy and so are her old coworkers.
The Estela thing bothers me. If she Is inside Poppy, when did that happen? Because she was still alive when the scientist were making the orphans go through the three games in the game station, she Is the one who receives the reports. Her voice greets the children, but that could be recorded at any time, but she Is in charge of gathering the proctors reports and she even had her own slide thing with her name as the other members of the staff did, (even the owner) So, she was alive when the killer plushies were already there, she speaks about Mommy Long-legs in the game station recording and those were made when the company was already famous. So, I don't get the Time line, was "possessed" Poppy Made after Wuggy and Mommy and all the others? That's the only scenario in which Estela can be inside of that particular Poppy doll, right? That way she can know about all the nasty things that happened there. And if that's so, how come there Is no scientist log about that experiment. No one talks about possessed Poppy in a log... The serial numbers of the experiments tells you the order in which they were created, and Poppy? If she's evil and smart and UNIQUE, not as all the other toys scattered all around the fabric, there must be a log about her somewhere. There're 2 recordings from that angry employee complaining about his job, but what about Poppy?
And if that's Estela, she knew the experiments were violent and crazy, so I don't think she would become one voluntarily, she was killed. That sounds like Portal game and the main computer's theory.
Did you know that mommy long legs killer Bunzo bunny and the small huggies as well? :0 And she did btw, in the like chasing scene in the end of the game, there’s an area you can visit and in there bunzo bunny is all damaged etc, I guess “dead.” Etc and there’s secret noises/memos and it’s labeled as “MLL kills bunzo bunny” and “MLL kills small huggies.” My theory is that…well idk why MLL killed them but maybe the reason why Kissy Missy helped us was because she got mad MLL killed her friends (or at least the small huggies) and that’s why she helped the player. And my reasoning behind this theory is because Missy looks like she’s crying when she went to help us! (CREDITS: Admin L 🦄)
I think this theory is a bit fumbled at the Huggy section because Huggy’s bio says he doesn’t talk much but when he does you need to listen, but Huggy never talks, and I’m pretty sure if Poppy really was THAT dangerous I think Huggy would say something. ( Also nobody really mentions this but Huggy laughs in his theme song so we can guess what he sounds like)
So poppy needs you to defeat the prototype, but to do that you had to eliminate some of the bigger body smilies , which prototype then collects and uses to make himself stronger and dang near unbeatable? Something is very wicked here 😂
I haven’t heard anyone talk about the time we “kill” huggy wuggy and he bleeds from his head ( as he falls) i just thought maybe he was a orphan or staff that had also been turned into a toy and was “aggressively” trying to stop us from getting to her, maybe the reason he was aggressive towards us was possibly because huggy wuggy has had to stop many people (people trying to find out what happend) from getting to her and it started to annoy them and so he got fed up and started being “abucive” towards us… just something to think about…
What I don’t understand is why didn’t no one from the outside go investigate the disappearances immediately after the incident? Like why weren’t the police or other authorities contacted?
Tericho, Eliot Ludwig was not the head of playtime co. He was the founder of Huggy, but not the company. In the green tape it says, “ Hi. My names Laith Pierre; and I’m the head innovation of the Playtime Co. factory.”
One intresting thing is that, according to the audio we found, it said that most of these monsters needed food other than huggy wuggy and since all these monsters are made up of organic material, I think the bigger monster might eat the flesh of the smaller monster as huggy was the only expirament that did not needed food, another thing is that poppy became a successful expiriment because she was willing to become, and the other expiriment did not got their choice, so she might have called us to come back showing the that we came back for the employees and we were sympathizing to poopy so she might be using us to clear the monsters and at The last chapter she might betray us and try to use our soul to make another successful toy which is quite literally living.
Anyone getting Baby-Vibes (from FNAF: Sister Location). Baby helps us too through the gameplay, until the end when she uses our body against our will to escape the factory... Let's just hope that this factory doesn't have a "Scooping Room"
If she's in the case, how could Poppy mail the letter? The other theory is that Huggy is herding the protagonist to Poppy. Now the original note directs the player to find the poppy sign (thus Poppy), and the protag was eventually going to get there with the Catbee. But Huggy might not know our direction. As an aside, I have the feeling Poppy can't move. She has a human consciousness but that doesn't mean she has the capability to move around, as the emphasis for Poppy toy was talking.
@@Tericho Follow the line of thinking there tho. For her to make another toy do it, she'd have to have her case open. Why then close it? If she didn't need the case open to give that directive, why not have the letter-delivering toy open the case? Poppy might not be able to safely move around the factory, but that's not the same as sealing herself in the case. And if a toy could just pop her out of the case, there likely wouldn't be all these warnings to not let her out of the case.
I'm getting Circus Baby vibes, she will be a guide for the game but turn out to the final antagonist. I know it's a very bland argument but since she is the titular character I doubt they would have her turn on you until the end.

regarding this 6:04, i have another theory. the reason huggy gives us the keys in the beginning is so that he can lead us to poppy's place. if you notice, huggy chases us to the flower, so it seems like he wanted to lead us there.

I don't think Poppy was the one who sent the letter because she was asleep all the time the way she talks when you open her case is like someone awakening and surprised to see you . I think someone else sent the letter and his signature has a Poppy symbol on it after all the factory is called Poppy Playtime
Originally, I was dead set on Poppy being evil. My evidence was in the room where you first see encounter Huggy. There were multiple doors surrounding the dome-like room, each with one of the characters painted beside them. On the largest door, the one with "Innovation" written on it (probably the Innovation Wing, talked about many times before and is defenitly a very important room). This door had a painting of Poppy above it. I thought for the longest time, before the whole "Mommy Long Legs" leak came out with the NFTs, that we would go into the doors one by one facing the creepy monster version of the toy painted on the door, since Huggy was outside of the two doors we did go into, however they are going away from this since it seems we will be going through the door in Poppy's room and seeing new toys. But anyways, before I thought since Poppy was the face of the Innovation Wing, I thought she would be our finale boss. I'm having second thoughts now, and I honestly have no clue whatsoever what role Poppy has in everything. Mod Games have done a really good job, I've analyzed all the lore we were given and have no idea. I'm so excited for future chapters to uncover more and figure out the whole story like I've done with Bendy and the Ink Machine.

Huggy definitely is smart enough to plan because he baits you into going deeper into the factory and keeps making sure you're going to the right place.
If you look at people who "break" the game, you can see that huggy purposely put his hand at the door for you to see it because the animation looks like he is waiting by the door when he does that. In the Ch 1 trailer, you can see that Huggy is behind you after you enter that passage and look back so he is making sure you are there. He keeps his tabs on you when you are getting the red claw too. It's almost as though he lead you to the red claw area.
Huggy also could have easily grabbed you when you walk into the dark hallway before he chases you into the vents but he doesn't. I find that really weird. He also will stare at you if you are in the vent until you go down. Ofc, they could be due to gaming mechanics but it definitely seems like he was luring you to the vents, at least. I don't think him leading you to Poppy is necessarily what he was planning though. I'm kinda stumped on what his motive was.
Remeber how the factory tours had to be over at 8 pm or security would come? I feel like it's heavily implied that huggy is like a "security guard" and maybe he only attacks you when you're in prohibited areas I nthe factory? I'm confused too as to what huggys true intentions were
I noticed with the video tapes, the guy who got killed whilst recording’s hand on the tape was a skelton showing that he died, but Stella’s was a human hand.

I'd consider Waggy's "approach" in apprehending or preventing us from reaching Poppy to be further proof of Poppy's evil nature. As you said, we do not know how intelligent Waggy is, but it seems to be able to understand what is dangerous and what isn't to him or the factory. Thus, maybe he concludes that since we have the toy which allows us to meet Poppy, he considers us an accomplice of hers. Anyone that wants to help her is an enemy that should be disposed of. And that's because Poppy is the main enemy .

In the vents there are multiple writings noting: “leave her to die”. You can see one after you had to crouch, huggy walks further and you’re save until you walk further. Any idea what this means?
I think the word "her" is for Poppy, but why does the perosn who wrote that say her instead of Poppy's name? Maybe he or she is terrified by poppy until they dont want to say her name. But i think when they wrote "leave her to die" is because Poppy looks very alive until maybe a soul is trapped inside and try to get out and tried to get attention from other co workers but instead of helping they got scared and did not care, it made her really mad she haunted them until they warned us about poppy and to let her be trapped and stay inside the glass box until the soul disapears or as they refferred "die". Tbh idk if this is true this is just my ideas about the words.
Tbh I think that maybe that is a hint for future chapters almost as if shes going to help and then betray us because there is a possibility that Poppy is working with one of the dangerous prototypes or even 2

Yo Tericho I have a theory for you, let me know your thoughts on it.
What if the CCTV Security Cams aren't taking place BETWEEN chapter 1 and 2 like everybody thinks, and the cameras are actually from AFTER Chapter 2 and we just don't know it yet because it ends up being some sort of Inception-style surprise?
My reasoning for this: So we know there is what is clearly a Red grab pack arm(this isn't Mommy Long Legs arm, it's pretty obvious by the size ratio of the hand to the arm) coming out of one of the toy pots in the Make a Friend room. We don't know whose it is, but it definitely seems to have been left there by someone, who I would imagine had to drop it quickly and leave it behind while in a panic.
What if that's actually OUR (the main protagonist's) Red grab pack hand. As seen in the Chapter 2 trailer, we clearly lose our Red hand at some point in the chapter, before acquiring the Green hand.
My theory is that perhaps at the start of chapter 2 we are in poppy's room and Mommy Long Legs comes out of the door and chases us all the way back to the Make a Friend room where we narrowly escape her by going up into one of the toy pots. But she ends up clutching onto our Red hand and we end up having to leave it behind to escape.
Of course, if my theory ends up being correct and the cameras are actually from after chapter 2, this would mean we will also hopefully get to the events pertaining to the cat-bee and it being murdered and dragged off in the Playtime Area!
Let me know your thoughts on if you think this could be a legitimate scenario or not!
I had this small theroy; what if she wants to earn her " human body back ", yes Poppy may had been an orphan that turned to doll, but instead of escaping the factory & having revenge, she wants to earn a body to continue living instead of begin a toy.

During the whole Huggy part, I believe you come to find out that Huggy is actually pretty loyal and served his loyalty to Mommy Long Legs, and later in chapter 2 you find out Mommy put Poppy in the box. So perhaps the reason why he tried killing us was because he was following orders from mommy
I personally think that Poppy chose to be a doll because on the tape with stella she wanted to be a doll and play with children. But immediately regretted it because she was the first prototype she was treated like an ornament in a museum than a toy. She wants to escape now and now she want a new body. Maybe our character is a toy the most realistic one. She may have invited us here to take our body. Maybe the danger signs and huggy wuggy are true and shes tried to take someone elses body before and failed. So I think she will act nice throughtout the game but make out everyone else is bad. When they may not be and then when we have gained her trust she will take control.

There are two immediate thoughts that spring to mind as to this theory, both for varying reasons.
The first one comes from the lore of the game Warframe, where during the history of the Orokin (a galatic empire that collapsed) they did something known as Continuity, to forcibly transfer their consciousness into a younger, more suitable host. It was normally done with children (!) so they could live "extended" lives.
The second one comes from, surprisingly, Doctor Who. In a few significant episodes, whenever the Doctor finds an enemy that wants to use him for their own means, he acts as judge, jury and executioner on his own terms. Could it be that Poppy plans to do that somehow, while the other big toys are trying to stop her, while you're caught in the middle and unsure who to trust?
I had a small theory involving chapter two and chapter one. In chapter one, in the vents, the writing on the walls are all different colors just like the huggys in chapter 2 trailer. possibly they are intelligent enough to write those warnings around her door and each color indicating a different huggy. You see red, yellow, and blue around the door, and in the vents you see red, violet/pink, turquoise, and dark blue. now i guess this isn't a theory but it could be a start of one.
You know what I just realized? Poppy's case really reminds me of the one the irl Annabelle doll is kept in 🤔
If Poppy actually evil, it doesn't surprise me. Because Poppy is a victim of human experiment, turn her into a doll. You know the game title "Poppy Playtime" more like "Poppy's playtime", she's trying to play with your trust. When you trust her enough, in the end she'll trying to get your body and finally her soul free from the doll. Sorry for bad English.
Considering that Poppy starts out friendly to the player reminds me of how Chucky hides behind the innocence of the Good Guys dolls and befriends kids in the films before killing people and later revealing his evil, sociopathic identify as Charles Lee Ray when he cannot hide it anymore. They are both creepy, talking redhead child dolls designed to emotionslly connect to children. And if Poppy also has someone else's soul inside her, what means did the factory use to achieve that? And what would happen in the player just crushed Poppy into a million porcelain pieces, because she really does seem fragile compared to the other toys in the factory.
My theory is that Poppy contain the souls of a orphan AND Stella, a staff member who was eager for the job. Stella is seeking to start the factory again and make more toys, while the orphan part of her is seeking revenge/trying to escape with other staff members.
Maybe everybody in the factory was going to see Poppy and huggy was protecting Us from Poppy That’s probably why everybody disappeared
I have a strong feeling Poppy isn't inherently evil. I agree, I think it was Stella, and I don't think she consented to it, or maybe she didn't know the extent she was agreeing to. I noticed the same things: same actress, questionable response in chapter 1, that Huggy seems to either be protecting Poppy or us, the child-like writing and spelling. I could see it being a revenge thing, but no matter what way I look at it I have a feeling that she isn't evil, at least by choice. You brought up very interesting points to counter that argument though. I'm impressed how you can look at things from multiple angles to come up with different theories. Can't wait to see your content when chapter two comes out. I don't entirely support the developer(s) because of the NFT business and other things I've heard, but I am happy to support a content creator, and learning what happens in the game. I'll give credit where it's due, they did make a very interesting game and plot line.

Well what if poppy was created from a humans heart (which would be stellas) and from the scientists themselves? Ik it doesn't make sense and no there isn't evidence to support this much but it comes across sensible, if poppy was already made to have her own mind set and then later Stella was merged with her she would have split personalitys. However well have to wait till chapter 2 to confirm anything...
In the poppy playtime tape when you first start the game when she’s sitting in the chair there’s blood, might be from the voice box and in the trailer we can find poppy in the same area

I HAVE ANOTHER THING TO ADD. So yk how there was the "incident" with (what is ASSUMED to be) huggy. What if Poppy was the one that did it? Think about it, huggy was representing the company, they kept him on display in the ENTRANCE area, and he was free to wonder. While poppy was shut off from everything, had HELLA warnings in the path to her and she was the ONLY one we've seen locked up.

What if the poppy doll house display, was a part of the tour. But the shelf is now there as a barricade and the graffiti on the wall is a warning that she turned evil. The back area that Huggy chases you to is where the staff goes to prep and clean easier
What if we are Elliott Ludwig? When the toys escaped and the factory was in chaos, Elliott escaped and locked up the factory making sure the toys don't escape, but then the letter arrives and Elliott thinks that they might get out because how did they send that letter? So he goes back to ensure that they don't get out. And maybe the reason the toys don't recognize him is because he wasn't present for the experiments. So if it was Poopy who sent the letter asking for help, thinking that he is just an ex- employee, doesn't know it is him.
Poppy’s case always reminded me of Annabelle’s (the possessed raggedy ann doll) case which would add to the “dangerous” theory

I was always thinking that huggy was only aggressive because it was trying to lead you to where it wanted you to go. You started going off someplace Poppy (or whoever else is commanding them) and they had to send huggy to scare you in the right direction. Also with all the spider talk the winding walkways while not in the shape of one are like a web the brought us straight to the "spider"
I think I figured it out. When Poppy was talking at the end of the game, the train was going fast and away from the prototype. I think Poppy was controlled by him, and when you heard her say, 'What the,' the prototype lost connection with her, and she became herself again. That might be the reason why she was acting different. She also said, 'Whenever I want you to do something, you are capable.' I think that's the prototype saying that because we did help him get Mommy Long Legs' body and huggy wuggy too. That's why I think it was the prototype taking control of her.

some things that perhaps NOBODY will have noticed in Poppy Playtime chapter 2/3:
1. I don't know if you can see it but if you hack the game and exit the map you can see white writing with disturbing things written on it
2. I don't even remember how to hack this thing but if you hack it again and go to the Game station you can see Poppy tied up with the cobwebs of Mommy long legs
3. In chapter 3 of the game there are some secret scenes of Catnap also because one that interested me a lot, in one of these secret scenes of Catnap you can see him and PJ pugapillar tied together with the remains of the other toys
4. Ms. delight was the only teacher at the Playcare school for orphaned children, also because in some videocassettes that they put on RUclips in one of these I saw her kill her sisters. But this is beside the point, the only question I'm asking myself is "Was she always like this in her current form or was she just an orphaned girl who was transformed into this robot?"
5. As we all know at the beginning of the game we can contact us directly together with Ollie, but who is she really? We can't know her true identity about who she is, also because how does she know the whole Playcare, and why is she helping us? Some believe she is the prototype and others believe she is a toy

Honestly, I think there are 4-6 possessed Poppys, with you being one of them. (More than 1 person definitely wrote that letter) That’s why Poppy seems so threatening, but not necessarily to the player.

i think poppy locked herself up, hung up some ''killed'' dolls on ropes in front of the entrance of her room (the poppy flower)
to make the other dolls afraid of her presence, however, why did she lock herself up? why did she string those dead dolls on ropes up? no clue
The best guess I can come up with is that poppy was trying to save herself from the dangerous toys who wanted to kill her and that fear was the only thing she could do in her scenario. I don’t really know but I really hope poppy actually helps us since I think Stella is poppy and she doesn’t seem like the type of person who would be pissed about being a toy based on her interview. I agree with matpat theory that poppy might be trying to help us, but maybe she could be another circus baby, i don’t really know. The let me go and help me could be Stella not being able to make kids happy and being kept as an example of the perfect prototype and not the sellable toy she was promised. Poppy Playtime may potentially release on 4.22.22. I say this is because the Trailer of Chapter 2 was on 2.22.22. This might be a stretch but Mommy Long Legs has 4 legs, So let's make the date now 4.22.22 & If this is correct, then the Chapter will drop 2 months after the Trailer.
I think the letter to find the missing employees was actually a trap set by poppy so she could be found and released bc why would there be some many warnings to stop and turn back and not to go in the flower if the employees actually wanted us to find it poppy is definitely manipulating the protagonist and I think that not only the employees but the orphans were used to make the toys

11:59, you might be right, the letter is really bad grammar that grown ups would most likely know is not correct, but since poppy is really small, she might have thought it was real looking enough for us to fall for it, which we did. But it could have been that they were in a big rush they had no time to correct themselves.
I personally think that the developers are arranging a technique. They’re making the story in itself unique, then coming back to the basics. What i mean is i think from the start poppy will be an ally, then, by the end she will be an enemy. I think what will happen is poppy is stella. she’s the first experiment of playtime co. I think when she was originally introduced to the idea of making toys “real” she loved it. Hence that connecting to the interview she did. but when they told her she would ultimately become the toy she wasn’t for it. She ended up getting killed anyway and turned into poppy. Eventually she saw her opportunity to take revenge. She became violent and tried to kill all of the scientists. i think one of the toys actually got a hold of her and shut her in to try and protect her. i’m assuming that person is mommy long legs. by the way poppy talks about her she describes her as if she already knows a lot about her which is why i think that is. I think now that you’ve invaded for whatever apparent reason, she’s going to use you to try and become human again. I think the game is going to end with her finding out that she is forever a toy and so are her old coworkers.

The Estela thing bothers me. If she Is inside Poppy, when did that happen? Because she was still alive when the scientist were making the orphans go through the three games in the game station, she Is the one who receives the reports. Her voice greets the children, but that could be recorded at any time, but she Is in charge of gathering the proctors reports and she even had her own slide thing with her name as the other members of the staff did, (even the owner) So, she was alive when the killer plushies were already there, she speaks about Mommy Long-legs in the game station recording and those were made when the company was already famous. So, I don't get the Time line, was "possessed" Poppy Made after Wuggy and Mommy and all the others? That's the only scenario in which Estela can be inside of that particular Poppy doll, right? That way she can know about all the nasty things that happened there. And if that's so, how come there Is no scientist log about that experiment. No one talks about possessed Poppy in a log... The serial numbers of the experiments tells you the order in which they were created, and Poppy? If she's evil and smart and UNIQUE, not as all the other toys scattered all around the fabric, there must be a log about her somewhere. There're 2 recordings from that angry employee complaining about his job, but what about Poppy?
And if that's Estela, she knew the experiments were violent and crazy, so I don't think she would become one voluntarily, she was killed. That sounds like Portal game and the main computer's theory.

And she did btw, in the like chasing scene in the end of the game, there’s an area you can visit and in there bunzo bunny is all damaged etc, I guess “dead.” Etc and there’s secret noises/memos and it’s labeled as “MLL kills bunzo bunny” and “MLL kills small huggies.”
My theory is that…well idk why MLL killed them but maybe the reason why Kissy Missy helped us was because she got mad MLL killed her friends (or at least the small huggies) and that’s why she helped the player. And my reasoning behind this theory is because Missy looks like she’s crying when she went to help us!

I think this theory is a bit fumbled at the Huggy section because Huggy’s bio says he doesn’t talk much but when he does you need to listen, but Huggy never talks, and I’m pretty sure if Poppy really was THAT dangerous I think Huggy would say something. ( Also nobody really mentions this but Huggy laughs in his theme song so we can guess what he sounds like)

Tericho, Eliot Ludwig was not the head of playtime co. He was the founder of Huggy, but not the company. In the green tape it says, “ Hi. My names Laith Pierre; and I’m the head innovation of the Playtime Co. factory.”
Yeah LP was head of innovation but Ludwig was founder and CEO.

One intresting thing is that, according to the audio we found, it said that most of these monsters needed food other than huggy wuggy and since all these monsters are made up of organic material, I think the bigger monster might eat the flesh of the smaller monster as huggy was the only expirament that did not needed food, another thing is that poppy became a successful expiriment because she was willing to become, and the other expiriment did not got their choice, so she might have called us to come back showing the that we came back for the employees and we were sympathizing to poopy so she might be using us to clear the monsters and at The last chapter she might betray us and try to use our soul to make another successful toy which is quite literally living.

If she's in the case, how could Poppy mail the letter?
The other theory is that Huggy is herding the protagonist to Poppy. Now the original note directs the player to find the poppy sign (thus Poppy), and the protag was eventually going to get there with the Catbee. But Huggy might not know our direction.
As an aside, I have the feeling Poppy can't move. She has a human consciousness but that doesn't mean she has the capability to move around, as the emphasis for Poppy toy was talking.
She could have made another toy send it for her.
@@Tericho Follow the line of thinking there tho. For her to make another toy do it, she'd have to have her case open. Why then close it? If she didn't need the case open to give that directive, why not have the letter-delivering toy open the case? Poppy might not be able to safely move around the factory, but that's not the same as sealing herself in the case. And if a toy could just pop her out of the case, there likely wouldn't be all these warnings to not let her out of the case.
I'm getting Circus Baby vibes, she will be a guide for the game but turn out to the final antagonist. I know it's a very bland argument but since she is the titular character I doubt they would have her turn on you until the end.
