Permanent vinyl is not permanent on cups that are being used and washed a lot. Especially if you are going to put them in the dishwasher. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much!’
My point exactly!!! I just started using permanent vinyl again on cups for my business. I was trying to think of a way for it to permanently stay. I found this video
Thank you!! 😆 I’ve been seeing videos sealing cups with expensive sealers and the comments go on and on about how the stickers won’t stop peeling.. this is the one that worked ❤️❤️
Dude - THANK YOU ! I got a lot from your videos but I am sitting here at midnight + with my husband whos holding cups for me... but then you came in with your genius and helped me turn pool noods into cup holders two ways.... thanks so much!
Just sealed my color changing cup for my sons teacher using your method! Since I had this on hand! Thank you! I hope it works out. I’m a little nervous LOL
Love! Thank you for this I was looking for a way to seal my cups once I paint them without baking them. I hope this will work with hand painted pieces. If not please let me know before I try!! ❤❤❤❤
Glad I found this I have been trying to find a way to seal vinyl but quick to not take 28 days to cure. I am new to the cup designs. Is that ok to use on mugs too?
Thank you for the great video.. Can i use the mod podge spray as the last coat on alcohol ink painting on ceramic mugs? I am looking for a sealant that stops the sticking on the mug with hot drinks . Thank you
HI! I hand painted a plastic, Starbucks cup with acrylic paint. Can I use this spray to seal it or would you recommend the dishwasher safe modpodge? Thank you
@@kimberlysantiago7639 I tried it also and after curing for like 3 weeks I can easily scratch it with my nail. Such a bummer. Can I ask you if you've found anything that holds up better that is not epoxy? I'm just thinking I'll use epoxy cause I also tried the mod podge dishwasher safe one but it was super streaky.
Hi can that Mod Podge be apply on to stickers that is already on my hydro flask. And when I apply that spray, will my stickers be protected from being scratched, fading, and washed off.
Thank you so much , I’m going to try this on plastic cups. I was wondering have you tried the spray on wine glasses? I made a couple of wine glasses with Christmas jingles on them and I am wondering will this cloud the glass? Do you know how to seal permanent vinyl on wine glasses?
If that sealer could work on handpainted coffee mugs? I'm teaching Painting class and I want them to customize ceramic mugs , but we are having problems finding sealers, only found the very very very expensive ones that my students can't afford :(
If I’m only doing a logo on one side of the cup should I still spray the whole cup? If I just spray the logo Will you be able to tell the difference one from the area I sprayed and the rest of the cup? Thanks
Permanent vinyl is not permanent on cups that are being used and washed a lot. Especially if you are going to put them in the dishwasher. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much!’
you're welcome. just note, this doesn't make them dishwasher safe
My point exactly!!! I just started using permanent vinyl again on cups for my business. I was trying to think of a way for it to permanently stay. I found this video
There is dishwasher safe mod podge
Thank you so much for doing this video I'm glad I came across it. I've been looking for a way to seal a tumbler/ cup without epoxy
Thank u. Hope it helped 😁
Love the pool noodle!!! THX!
Thank you ♥️, I was looking for a sealer and searching for the right one almost for 5 months!!😭. So thank you for this helpful video.
Thank you!! 😆 I’ve been seeing videos sealing cups with expensive sealers and the comments go on and on about how the stickers won’t stop peeling.. this is the one that worked ❤️❤️
Yeah. I tried the expensive stuff. It took forever ! This is my favorite method
Thanks for the video I completely forgot about the mod podge sealer this will really help cause I hate dealing with epoxy lol
This is the exact video I’ve been looking for thank you 🙏🏾
glad it helped you!

How are the cups are they still in great condition?
Being new to vinyl, this was SO helpful! :) Thanks very much for taking the time to video this.
I'm so glad it helped you!
Hello so my cup has some white spots all over. Any one knows why???
You hand hand wash after??
@@SillyCrafting101 hand wash?
@Free spirit yes. No dishwasher
Love! Thank you for this I was looking for a way to seal my cups once I paint them without baking them. I hope this will work with hand painted pieces. If not please let me know before I try!! ❤❤❤❤
i havent tried it for sealing paint. i would say it's too light for that
first actually usefull video i came across
yay, glad to hear it
This was so helpful. I've been looking for a video to seal my cup easily as a birthday gift for my sister. Thank you so much!
Hi
Was that design permanent ?
Ofcourse. Glad it helped !
I like the finish. It looks like a matte finish.
Nice, i was looking at sealers for some of my stickets. Was wondering how the spray would be after it dried, thanks.
Hi! Is this only for plastic cups or can you use this metal on stainless steel cups as well?
Great video- can you use this type of sealing for acrylic or glass? Or is it just for frosted cups?
I would just stick to frosted cups
Thank you for sharing this video and I was wondering if you apply the spray to the acrylic keychain?
Glad I found this I have been trying to find a way to seal vinyl but quick to not take 28 days to cure. I am new to the cup designs. Is that ok to use on mugs too?
I wouldn't recommend it. It will leave a texture
I use crystal clear in mugs and it works.
Looks like this is what I’ll b doing for my yeti gallon jug. Thanks!
Omg what a time saver I’m sooooooo freaking ecstatic I came across your videos . I subscribed, commented and liked the video ❣️ Thank you
is this cup now dishwasher safe ?? Love your videos !!!!
Thanks for this video, I am new to vinyl and have been wondering if I should seal my cups. Does mod podge spray hold up with hand washing the cups?
Thank you for the great video.. Can i use the mod podge spray as the last coat on alcohol ink painting on ceramic mugs? I am looking for a sealant that stops the sticking on the mug with hot drinks . Thank you
not sure. never tried it. let us know how it goes!
I use the same product on my stickers, it helps seal the colors making them last longer
how many coats do you do?
just curious, is this food safe? I noticed you didn't leave a space in the top without coating where you mouth will be
Is this safe to use on a cup that will be used to drink from? Isn’t it toxic? Just wondering? I’ve always be scared to use it on cups
When you add words or images do you keep them straight on design space or do you turn them ? Thanks
I just kept these straight
@@SillyCrafting101 thank you! One more question. Have you had any issues with flaking? Thanks!
Thank you thank you I’ve been looking for a video that would help me with my cups .. thank you 🥰
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for sharing your tips 😊
Hello can You use that sealer on glass ??
Hello!! Is sealing this way safe to drink from and how long should the cup cure? I know regular mod podge is about 30 days.
I let it dry 24hrs and then give it a wash. After that, I use it
Thank you. This is so helpful!
Can I do this on my hydro flask u think? Ty for sharing!!
im not sure, maybe
Thank you so much for the help! So after the 10 hours of sitting outside. How long till it’s food safe?
i just give it a hand wash and use it right away
Can you use that with printable vinyl on a coffee mug?
Would I still need a permanent vinyl if I’m trying to seal an autograph on top of my phone case?? Thank you for the tips on 5 layers!
Can we hand wash it after it’s been dry for 24hrs? Is it non toxic?
Yes
Hi 😃 Does this method work for any kind of Tumbler?
Hola me encantó tu video,mi pregunta es si se puede usar este sellador en vasos Fliptop mate?
sorry, i don't know what that is
Looks really good! Is this safe for use right after we wait period?
i was wondering that too
Great work...can you seal glitter glass use the sealer?
thank you, and it's probably not strong enough to seal glitter
Thank you very helpful 🙏
Hello do u prep your cup with rubbing alcohol or sand it before applying vinyl?
I just prep with alcohol. No sanding for this. The spray is very light and probably won't cover the sanding
Can you use this on the Starbucks hot cups? If not what would you suggest if anything?
I always wonder, do you still feel the sides of the vinyl, or does it just seal it?
u feel it. its a very light spray
Can you use it on a Stanley stainless steel tumbler over permanent vinyl
idk. i only used it on starbucks cold cups
Do you know how well this works over holographic vinyl? Like will it dull the shine of it or will it still look shiny?
I actually like how it leaves the holo vinyl. It's a texture but still shiny. Kinda looks like a glitter texture
Ever try the high gloss mod podge spray on holographic? Wondering if it would leave a different sheen.
Would you use the same technique when you glitter a wine glass? Also do a total of 5 coats? Thank you.
No. It will leave a texture
I use Dishwasher safe mod podge on my wine glasses. I do 2 coats as final costing.
HI! I hand painted a plastic, Starbucks cup with acrylic paint. Can I use this spray to seal it or would you recommend the dishwasher safe modpodge? Thank you
No definitely not. This is just a super light acrylic. Yes, Maybe try the dishwasher safe modpodge.
How long do you let it cure for?
just 24hrs
Have you tried on acrylic blank keychain?
no. it probably wont work
wow thank you, is it FDA approved food safe?
Can you use this on mugs also
Does the sealant remain and allow for dishwashing the cups?
hi! i did my first cup with this spray and it left streaks running down i’m not sure if i applied too much?
Spray lightly and keep the cup moving. This is a product you want to build up very thin coats.
Tomorrow I will do it to my first cup, it can be used with any vinyl?? ☺️
Yes ! So exciting !
Thank you for this. Everything I see is about glitter. Can I use this in metal and acrylic tumblers?
Probably not. It will leave a texture
@@SillyCrafting101 I am making insulated water bottles. Why is the texture a bad thing?
So u did the spray instead of laminating the cups?
Hey! Thanks for this video! Does the seal come off when washing?
i handwash and the spray has stayed on but there will be wear and tear eventually
Will this peel or crack over time or if you squeeze cup?
I just sprayed mine and let it sit for 24 hours and it still flakes off and scratches easily. 😩
@@kimberlysantiago7639 I tried it also and after curing for like 3 weeks I can easily scratch it with my nail. Such a bummer. You're welcome. Thank for watching !
@@SillyCrafting101 what about washing the cup will it come off
Thanks for sharing. What does glitter look like using this sealer. Does it keep its shine. Thankyou.
No. I wouldn't recommend on glitter. It probably won't hold
Love it beautiful cup
thank you!
This video was so helpful! Thanks!
Do you think i can seal a waterslide on the starbucks cold cups with this?
Hi can that Mod Podge be apply on to stickers that is already on my hydro flask. And when I apply that spray, will my stickers be protected from being scratched, fading, and washed off.
probably but it will add a texture to it.
Thank you so much , I’m going to try this on plastic cups. I was wondering have you tried the spray on wine glasses? I made a couple of wine glasses with Christmas jingles on them and I am wondering will this cloud the glass? Do you know how to seal permanent vinyl on wine glasses?
i wouldnt spray on glass due to the texture the spray leaves behind. just use a heat gun on glass. that should help the vinyl
@@SillyCrafting101 Thank you so much 😊
Where can I please find this design? 🥰 Can I also use this method on the acrylic Starbucks cups people make snowglobes?
I just google the image. And you can but it will probably leave a texture. I dont recommend it
Hi. Ty.
I was just wondering can I seal glitter with this spray as well?
Im looking with same question
Yes. I've done it. Still stays shiny
Can you put it in the dishwasher after sealing it with this product?
Can you use the sealer on glitter tumblers too?
i wouldnt
Is this dishwasher safe? I usually throw my starbucks cups in dishwasher and was wondering if the spray would keep me from doing that.
No its not they have a dish washer safe option of the glue mod podge blueish greenish label
correct, it is NOT dishwasher safe.
Will this method work using glitter? Thank you in advance.
Does this come out of the spray bottle clear? Does it dry clear? Thanks.
Yes but with a texture
If that sealer could work on handpainted coffee mugs? I'm teaching Painting class and I want them to customize ceramic mugs , but we are having problems finding sealers, only found the very very very expensive ones that my students can't afford :(
There is a dishwasher safe Mod Podge that would probably be way better for that.
I have a stainless steel coffee tumbler and the outside is like a matte black finish, not shiny, can i use the spray on it to seal my vinyl?
Thanks for sharing! Is this food safe?
yes, i use my cup everyday
If I’m only doing a logo on one side of the cup should I still spray the whole cup? If I just spray the logo Will you be able to tell the difference one from the area I sprayed and the rest of the cup? Thanks
i would do all of it since it leaves a texture
This was so helpful, thank you ❤
Can you also use this to seal water slide decals ? Thank you
I've seen it used for that but I haven't tried it myself yet. I'll have a video up soon for it
Is it possible to use the cup prior to it being completely cured? How long does it take to fully cure? Not 28 days?
This takes 24 hours
Can u use it with posca pens?
i'm not sure, sorry
Can you add that to glass, too?
i wouldnt
Can I use this to seal an acrylic tumbler 🤔
Since working outside have you thought of putting a net food tent over so no bug kamikaze
no but thats a good idea lol
Thank you also you’re so pretty ❤️
Thank you too!
Have you tried sealing with dishwasher modge podge? It's not spray. Wondering if you would get a smooth coat almost like epoxy?
others have recommended it but I haven't used it. I feel it might leave brush streaks but ill probably try it in the future
Will this be able to go in the dishwasher? Is it food safe?
Please reply...
What vinyle did you use? Or how did you do the design on that cup cause it looks so sealed already!
this is htvront
Ayuda una pregunta este producto también puede utilizarse para tazas con pedrería de cristal ??? O restaría brillo ??
i woundnt due to the texture it leaves
Have u used this on acrylic tumblers?
not yet
Hi, would just regular modge podge work?
Can it be used for Stainless steel and tumblers?
You can but it will probably leave a texture. I don't recommend it
buen dia una duda has usado en mog podge liquido?? yo lo aplico con brohca pero me quedan visibleas las rallas del sellador
no i havent
Forgive me if this question has been asked already. Will this work for sealing stickers to my tumbler so they won't peel off? Thank you
it will help but its not thick enough for a seal
Can I use the Modpodge on clear glass to cover vinyl.
Will this work to seal poured acrylic paint on acrylic jars
i wouldnt think so
Is this dishwasher safe after spraying it with the Mod Podge?
