Not sure if they changed their chemicals or they added it recently but when I bought mines last week, the dishwasher safe modpodge says it's non toxic and it's water-based so it's safe to place on the rim. I am curious how this will compete with with a non toxic spray paint.

That was really surprising. I have been working with that dishwasher-safe Mod Podge for a long time. The only sad thing about it is really that after dried, you see any brushstrokes really clearly. I would love if that product was a spray. But oh well, it is still a fantastic product.
Definitely! If they could have it as a spray that would be so much better. I also wish it was food safe. There could be so much more to use it for if that was the case!
I used the dishwasher safe mod podge like two times it was shiny and smooth then it became dry and not shiny anymore. How to make it liquify can we dilute it with little water maybe. Thank you
Got this mod podge on 2020 and tried it on acrylics and it works well🥰 now I'm into clay arts and I'll try to experiment if this mod podge will make my air dry clay a little water resistant hehehehe
Ok, do you think dishwasher safe mod podge would survive holding window clings on permanently through north eastern US winters? Even if the windows are cold/frozen and sometimes have condensation? That's why I'm here lol
I haven't tried sanding myself, but I do know that is something I have heard that could work. I wonder if it might it give more of an opaque look rather than clear 🤔
If you were lazy and wanted to let each coat dry overnight would that work? I'm usually not in the mood to craft until late at night. Lol 😂 I don't know if this is a case if the longer the better to let it dry or if it's best to follow the directions perfectly.
I've found the longer between coats the better especially if you're working on something that may have pools of the stuff 1-2 hours seems to be the minimum of course I wouldn't suggest letting it fully cure between bc then the layers may not stick
I snorted as soon as I saw that first little Bucky appear at the bottom of the screen, and have never related more Also this stuff blew my mind when my coworker bought it for a class project, and it's extremely ironic to me because I'd sworn off modpodge's entire brand existence for years because I used it once as a kid and the humidity of Tennessee was too wet and made it melt into a permanent sticky glue on the surface of my project lol
Leave the girl alone! Do you know how hard it is to make a video? You have to film and edit. It's a lot of work. I haven't made any but I've made reels on Instagram and it can take 40 minutes to make a 40 second reel! Then when you go to post it it won't post and you have to start over completely!!!!
@@Upper_echelon_exotics that sounds like a you problem. So you'd rather keep saying the wrong thing than be corrected? Then you shouldn't even be doing videos since you can't take criticism. Like tf, get over yourself.
Are there other craft supplies that you’d like me to put to the test or compare? Let me know!
Resin!
@@wandererF7 Yes I so want to try!
I like the idea of this product because I don't need it to actually be dishwasher safe. I just need it to be water resistant.
You should spray the paper with hairspray and let it dry before you ModPodge it on the mug to keep the ink from streaking
Great tip! Thanks!
Cool I was thinking someone out there probably had an idea how to make it work better! Thank you 😊
Thanks so much for the demo. I really needed to know how this product worked.
can the dishwasher safe mod podge work for a soap dish that is constantly wet?

Still not FDA approved, which is why they tell not to put on the rim

Have you tried polycrylic spray? I would think it would be dishwasher safe. Hmmm
@@jalajala4020 Never heard of that. I will look it up though. Maybe it is just what I need...
Is it too thick to put into a spray bottle? One of those continuous spray bottles
@@jalajala4020 Just make sure you don't use a water based polycrylic :)
Can this be watered down like other midge lodge?
Pink sparkle chaos mug is my new vibe!!! 💖☕️✨🎉 Also, I love the idea of glitter hunting dishwasher edition (Nancy Drew/Veronica Mars anyone 🕵🏻♀️?!)

It would work but won't hold up as well. Use the outdoor modpodge instead, it will help it last through freezing.
WHAT?!! Mod podge makes an outdoor formula?! This just created 100 new projects lol.
This is for both outdoor and indoor use per the bottle but bc of the long cure time I don't think it will hold up long enough to properly cure
You answered all my questions THX❣
Thanks 😊
thank youu
do yo suggest using sand paper in between layers to reduce brush strokes ? :)

Hi, just wondering if you think if I were to use thr mod podge over triple thick or crystalac Brite tone would work?
I guess you could always try your own test🤷🏼♀️
Very on point your video!
This video was SO helpful, thank you so much!

Oh now I’m curious will this one work on acrylic paint and a Barbie doll face?
I think it would! You may end up with a bit of a sheen, but def worth trying

thanks for doing these tests!
Of course! Thanks for watching!
If you use laser jet printer it won't bleed like it did with the inkjet

is this modge podge okay for a water bottle flask bc i was going to use to seal the stickers i was going to put on
It would definitely work! The only thing is you will see some texture from the brush strokes.

I wish I saw this video before I bought it. Bleh oh well. My aunt has like every type of mod podge but ran low on a lot of them.
Honestly, what's the point of dishwasher safe mod podge if you can't drink out or eat off of it???? 🤔
I have found printed pics work better if they were printed with a laser jet printer, no color run.
