I knew exactly where ya'll were gonna come up onto the Parkway. Me and my dad started riding the parkway on motorcycles when I graduated in '91. That was our M/C trip every year for 14 years. We would get off of it and run all the little back roads we could. Now my son is wanting to do it on his bike.
@@АндрійАніщенко-ц9с ahh sorry, on road. We cruise between 55 and 70 on the mountain roads. The bike is capable of around 76mph with about 200lbs on it but that's the top end.
It's a tall one! My buddy is 5'8 and rides one. We shaved his seat down. My wife rides mine sometimes (she's 5'3) but she typically rides a magician 250 with a much lower seat height.
Set your quality to 1080p.. RUclips likes to downscale footage. Looks pretty clear when I watch. It's choppy because I had 6 hours of footage so I chopped out the boring road riding where possible.
Thanks. I'll try adjusting my settings.. always left it in 4k but may set it to 1080p and more frames per second next time as I only upload 1080p anyway.
What I want to know, is why the USA can't build and sell a motorcycle like this for a competitive price. The economy is a mess; gas, groceries, damned near everything costs more than it should, who can afford to buy a Japanese motorcycle on a working man's salary? It's not like we don't have the know how, or the means. I keep hearing the slogans "Buy American!", "America First!", who the hell can afford it? The Chinese stole the tech from the Japanese, because the communist mindset is why should we waste time doing it when the capitalists will do it for us. Honestly, some entrepreneur in the USA should do the same thing to the Chinese. Until the he USA can build and sell a competitive bike like this, I don't blame anyone for buying Chinese goods. Don't give me any of that slave labor crap either. The tech for manufacturing something this good already exists, robot welders, assembly lines etc. It could, and can be done, it's a simple machine. To the best of my knowledge, the USA doesn't build ANY dirt or dual sport motorcycles.I know, some right wing ranter is going to crawl up my back about enabling "OUR ENEMIES", but I don't give a damn. Frankly, I think our enemies are a lot closer to home...
the Asian manufacturing process is more collaborative and much more streamlined than the American.. hence why even American companies have their items built overseas.. hard to compete with. I'm not 'giving my money to the enemy' so much as I'm giving it to the manufacturer who gives me what I want at the value I want.
My KPX250 is Awesome.. but the stock "Dual Sport" tires are total crap on the street. Unstable at Any Lean, constant hunting.. annoying. If you want decent street handling, you need real street tires.
We've pushed the street tires pretty hard on the mountain roads (enough to drag the pegs/kickstand). I'm not willing to give up the little edge they give us offroad.. if anything I'll just go with another 50/50 tire after these wear out. 2750miles and going strong.
This is exactly what simple dualsport bikes are for! Such great memories.
You know it!
Love the place you guys rode on!!! Awesome!!!

It is nice to follow your travels : ) .
What is a comfortable cruising speed for the engine on the road?
Offroad we cruise as fast as the land will let us... usually 10-15mph but you can rip these harder if you have more experience than us.
@@dadbodbikers No : ) , on tarmac road (highway).

I was going to buy the kpx and sat on it at 5'11 and i was on my tip toes. It's a tall bike.

Классный байк.
Хватает ли ему воздушного охлаждения?
Не перегревается в горах?
air cooled and no overheating issues for us!
Благодарю)
What dirt roads did you guyz jump on for the ascent to the top?
Just some trails at the top of a local neighborhood.
Are you guys doing this on stock tires?
Yes sir
The footage is choppy, blurry, choppy blurry. I especially noticed it 12 to 14 minutes in. Maybe the camera needs adjusted? Great content. 👍

What is the top speed
About 78. I have another video doing it on the interstate
Yeah, I am pretty sure that your camera is not able to focus fast enough, for the speed you are traveling. Good content, tho.

Love watching but with all the language, I can't allow the kids to watch which is a shame.
Yep, we're old and our bodies hurt so we respond with foul language sometimes! I do post a bunch that are friendlier.
