i like how they created this game. rather than delete the stuff they didn't use in the game, they rather hide it and put it somewhere far from the land. like skies, far underground etc. and it feels like they're effortless. rather than remove the collisions they rather just make it invinsible and unreacable by remove the pathways. i really love this game haha.
There is a large, accessible beach, south of Dirge. There is nothing there; and the absence is extremely suspicious. They went to the trouble to program a mile of winding ramp leading to the beach, for no apparent reason. Wander cannot access the water, as (fairly rapid) waves wash him back to shore. This setting does not match ANY of the artwork/descriptions for the known "lost" colossi. *Speculation Time* This beach (or, the ocean just beyond) would be the site of an epic battle with Kraken; a giant squid-type colossus that attempts to crush Wander by slapping the beach with its massive tentacles. This battle would have been problematic for the designer, because if Wander lingered on a withdrawing tentacle, he could be pulled beyond the game area, possibly irretrievably. Wander would, most likely, defeat the Kraken by hopping on a tentacle (after a beach slap) and stabbing it, causing it to become immobile, on the sand. The process would be repeated until the squid pulls itself to shore to complete the battle on land (walking on small crab-like legs, with armor resembling a conch shell).
makes me sad knowing that their are probably files on someones pc who worked on the game with a completely different map and the missing colossi that is playable :/

Oh and uh thanks for the Skyrim music, I love that game as well. Just thought I'd put that out there. Its nice to hear in the background of your information videos on Shadow of the Colossus.
Nomad , your videos are truly phenomenal , but as I keep saying in all your videos , the beta colossi sounds are one of your biggest finds, you should look into those sounds in a new video explaining what they could be.
At 2:36 the right square on the top kinda looks like Sirius's part cause in the middle there's a faint brown texture and then at the bottom there's a discolor dirt path that looks like rocks.
Also at 3:46 when you put the B6 i that spot it kinda looks like it was set somewhere else so another piece of land would be put there. It's also a lighter color than most of the squares.
thank you nomad for sharing this, by the way I remember one of your videos where you combined both shadow of the colossus and ico castle map, but I cant find it anymore, could you please send a link for that video? thank you so much and keep up the good work :)
The map at 02:20 reminds me of Valus for some reason, haha. Do you think it is possible to remodel some things, like that island? Also, I'm impressed how many things are hidden in this game. So many years and still it isn't "completely naked". Wow.
I was pleasantly surprised to hear the elder scrolls: morrowind soundtrack in the background there - really love that soundtrack! And of course, the series as a whole
How many years has it been now? GOD! I love this game, and I love you Nomad! Great music as well, loved the AC2 song. As to the narration, VaatiVydia has a great narrator voice, but I'm not sure he's into SotC.
Do you have a video or a way to show or explore the intro cutscene areas? I've been really wanting to see all those different little hidden areas from the intro before you start the game and can't remember if there's a video showing exploration of these areas since there's no way to access them in-game, I would love to see this in detail and possibly where they're located if they actually exist in a place in the game or if they're just areas you have to load separately.
It's very difficult to explain how to mod the cutscenes, but I'm working on a blog post about all the stuff I have learnt over the years. This will explain step by step how to mod the cutscenes, control the colossi as well as a ton of other stuff. In the meantime you should check out this text tutorial I made years ago. On the topic of the possible colossus arena you found. I think it would be interesting if it was another arena, but from what I see and memory, I think it looks an awful lot like Valus' arena, just rotated 180 degrees.
Can you tell me the names of the songs you used? They're great tracks. I like hearing other game tracks in your videos. Team Ico has great music, but can only be used so much, haha. Thanks for the videos, it's great to see my favorite game still has people's interest.

hermest99 skyrim music actually at 4:36. I realised it at once since I clocked in around a good solid 40 days of overall playtime into that game.
The Heartless You are right, It's The Jerall Mountains. Weird how I took it for oblivion since I have around 100 days of oblivion and 30 days of skyrim as well. Well.. it was a year ago, I guess I'll never know why I mistook it for Oblivion :p Weird.
