Binaural ASMR & Beer #29 Wells Sticky Toffee Pudding Ale Review + Eating Bacon Jerky
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 1 июн 2014
- My modest whispered review of Wells Sticky Toffee Pudding Ale, a look at other brews I picked up, eating bacon jerky and exploring the aural minutiae of various objects.
It was March 2013 and my review of Stella Artois since I last did a binaural ASMR session & beer review like this. So if you like this video, then I can continue to do more just like it.
Thanks as always for watching.
Tingle on,
E.R.

What is ASMR? Why am I whispering?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand motions, whispering and personal attention. My videos are not only meant to help induce ASMR or tingles, but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to provide stress relief (especially for those suffering from depression, anxiety and even PTSD), help people sleep and even serve as a study aid.

It's way cool that you basically give the viewer a hug at the beginning
I also enjoyed the hug
I've been listening to your videos for years!
To this date, I'm still listening to it!
This guy spends HOURS of his days making videos for us with professional equipment, software editing/rendering and having brilliant ideas.
RESPECT!
*Team ER*
I appreciate Rift so much, I've been listening to ASMR off and on for about 7 years, and this man just has the biggest variety pack of ASMR you can get. I've never listened to this series since there's just so much out there and very rarely do I get to the end of a video while still awake. I've ended up revisiting some videos as much as a dozen times. Now that I have a solid routine in place I've been having a consistent block of free time in the afternoon where I just go back and enjoy some of Rifts earlier work. Truly a gem of the genre and a godfather of ASMR. Thanks for your consistent high-quality content and thoughtful words.
This, and the beer review with Yuri Puuki, are by far some of my favorite videos from you. Those are definitely ASMR vids I can count on to provide some relaxation. Thanks, Paul!
I think that most of your videos are very creative and fun, but this one in particular is to me soo relaxing and casual. I LOVE your beer reviews and for triggers, the sponge and also the jacket were amazing. Thanks man!
The sounds in this video were absolutely mind-blowing and I enjoyed the format as well. Thanks ER!
The in ear microphones in combination with the eating/drinking put me in ASMR heaven. Wonderful video :)
These beer reviews was what introduced me to your channel and were some of my first favorite ASMR videos...love them, keep it up!!
Eating sound is awesome with that microphones.
ER, I dont know what it is about this video, the mic settings are perfect, and the way you speak and handle the objects in this video gives me the most insane ASMR. Hope to see more videos like this on in the future :)
The hand gestures were perfect. It was like a "brushing away your anxieties" gesture, and it worked!!
Didn't really like the tooth picks rolling around in the bottle, a bit annoying and i ended up skipping most of it besides the tapping. The other sounds on the other hand were fantastic, especially the sponge. You should use the wet sponge more often it may be my new favorite trigger. I also found the hand motions super relaxing. Great video ER, keep it up!
I wasn't a big fan of the toothpicks either, I liked the lid and tapping though. I agree with ER, maybe if the container was wooden or cardboard or something it would be less abrupt.
You're right, the toothpicks are unnaturally loud.
QUARTER RUM
You must know my favorite thing about your videos is your classic intro :)
I also look forward to ERs warm greeting every video!
Who else responds to his greeting in your head... Just me?.... okay....
Great video! The intense eating and drinking sounds with those in-ear mics were great! I also really like the leather jacket (great idea), the wet sponge, and the bandage inside the plastic-paper package. I thought the hand movements were really successful too, and I also like the slow fade-out you do in some of your videos. Super relaxing. I loved the eating and food/beer review mixed with the ASMR session and would love to see more of it.
I'll try to continue this format then. Most folks seem to like it. Thanks for the feedback!
Once again a triumphant video! The sheer blend of ASMR and reviews make a truly amazing video! My sub box is never dull when you create another video! :D
I can't even express how happy I am to see you, Paul. I love your content, and you look good with the shave!
This is the first video that got me hooked on ASMR. What a great trip it's been Rift
One of your most professional videos. Respect!
I generally don't watch the beer review videos but this was amazing. I love this concept. It was a nice relaxing hour and I'm not even the biggest fan of eating sounds.
I personally really enjoyed that form of video, probably my most favourite video of yours.
Would be glad if the reviews for other 5 beers would be in the same format.
my daughter and I love the relaxing sound of rain sticks
Loved the hand motions and subtle touches
Your a great artist !!! Your creativity is awesome ! Please keep the videos coming my favorite asmr channel
I like this format! I vote for continuing.
If you want to do a full sudsy video, consider soap suds with an underwater Go-Pro! ASMR Requests did it and it was awesome!
love the bottle cap sound, never gets old!
Your videos are awesome. I have bad anger issues and troubles sleeping. Whenever one of these things it's bothering me, I can turn on an ER video and be immediately relaxed. Keep it up, man.
The sponge was amazing, I hope you do more of those in a future video
I really enjoy this style of beer review. I do like the other styles but I definitely prefer this style of video.
My absolute favourite thing in the world are your in ear mics and the mouth sounds :D
I prefer his in mouth mics and ear sounds. :D
+Alex Stein LMAO!!!!!
Still loving the beer reviews Paul. Here's an idea. My favourite parts are the suds and the exercises. Ever thought of editing them into one long sudsy video? That would be sweet.
One of my favourite types of asmr videos.. Thanks
Very well done. The leather jacket sound a the end is very relaxing.
The hand movements were very relaxing.
damn! love the jacket crackling around an hour in, and the whispered ' moment of silence'
Loved the sticky notes sounds! Wow!
Hi Uncle E, if you have the time could you please bring back the 2 minute tingles, they were the best tingles around lol
Damn the beer reviews are so great
I LOVE the sticky note sounds!
More videos like this please, love it
I've been waiting for another one of these. :)
congratulations on the 52,000 subs :3
OK...SHOW OF HANDS (likes/comments)...All in favor of ER going to visit his relatives on holiday more often so he can crank out one video every 24 hours for a week straight afterwards? Thanks for all the great material the past few days. From boxes to couches to massages to gaming to sharing youself with us to beer. You da man!
If I may recommend, DuClaw's "Euphoria' & "Dirty Little Freak" are awesome. After I saw you review their Sweet Baby Jesus I went out and got some. Probably my new favorite beer. IMO, DuClaw makes some very good brews. Great relaxing video btw. As always.
I love this! This probably my second favorite! The only one you have better is Dr Clemons the undead doctor. More of him would be cool. And oh my if you did a beer review as doctor Clemons I just might die. Keep up the awesome work!!!
I like your vids allot, more tapping, i love to hear the tapping!
Munchen is the German name (and I suppose correct name) for the city of Munich, which is home to the biggest and most famous beer festival in the world, Oktoberfest. Thought I'd let y know as you've struggled with the word in a previous beer review hehe. Great video as always, tingle on ER!
Moar beer reviews plz! Love the hand movements/leather jacket too!
The carbonation sizzling is definitely one of my favorite sounds of all
Hey ER, would you kindly post a list of the beers you review in the description? At the pubs I would rather not have to thumb through the progress bar to try to fid the freeze frame of the title.
Great video!
This video is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooawesome!!!!!!!! Ive been clean from heroin for 2 years with the help of your videos!
Congrats! That's awesome, i didn't know asmr could be this great for some people! Cheers from Germany!
Chears from Denmark TOO!😉
If you ever get the chance (I don't know how readily available it is), you should try Fischer Traditional Amber. It's a French beer in an old school bottle with a resealable cork. It's one of the best lagers I've ever had and the bottle would produce great ASMR sounds. *EDIT* Forgot to mention: tasted one of the best reviewed beers in the world last month: Duvel, a Belgium Pale Ale. Seriously, the greatest beer ever brewed in my opinion.
PLEASE KEEP MAKING THESE KINDS OF VIDEOS
Brew Dog is a good brewery. I tried a 13% ABV beer of theirs (they have their own bar franchise in the UK) recently and that seriously did taste like wine!
Great vid!!!!
Paul, thank you for all the time you dedicated to help me sleep. sincerely, your unknown friend JP.
Eating sounds are great.
This is still AWESOME
E.R. In this particular video i see you present with either the latent phase of a Cold Sore or one just starting to manifest on your left side. Speak to your doctor about Acyclovir - 1 dose of 2g of Val-Acyclovir is enough to suppress the virus from presenting any physical symptoms if you take the dose early enough. Love your videos and love you. Take good care.
Good to see you too Rift even tho it's been 10 years since most of the videos watch over and over from you
ER, is there a way to download this video or other review videos? I'm going on a vacation and I won't have Internet and the videos help me sleep.
I kinda love the virtual hug ^^
i needed a hug, thank you
This video has bold flavor permeating its many subtle intricacies....
RIP Ephemeral Goatee
I like all of your characters but I like this one best.
; ) Thanks
All those brews sound good
Gotta love the jerky! There's also a really good bar-BQ brisket jerky by Jim Beam!
Great video!
Love this channel
Much obliged.
If you like German beers. You should try Schneider's Aventinus. One of the best beers I've ever had. Love the beer videos!
Damn! Its been over a year since I started watching your videos. Already!
The hug! Marvellous!
최고에요!!
Good to see you my inspirering friend :)
I really liked the toothpicks
Could you possibly make a video dedicated to bottle cap tapping?
Ngl playing a game and clicked on the video because I was like "Oh hot guy ASMR yes pls" but it turned out to be one of my favorite channels that I'm subbed to.
I really dig the leather jacket! Where'd you find yours?
Watch this with my cat pretty relaxing:)
Love the leather jacket sounds
Always nice to eat along with you, Paul.
I sent you a message here on youtube about sending you a care package btw!
Can't wait for the cocoa psycho review :D
The sponge was awesome
Thanks for the feedback!
@@EphemeralRift The rustling, friction of you're leather jack, as you move around also picks up in the microphone, like it.
I commented in another video about this, but what about making an ASMR video with bacon cooking. Not sure if it would work but the crackling and sizzling might trigger some. Great stuff BTW. You've really gotten creative. Keep on keepin on.
David Petronovich Yeah I think I might have seen that comment of yours. I'll see what I can do one of these days. Thanks for watching!
+Ephemeral Rift is the any way to download this video? I'm going on a trip and I don't have Internet and it helps me sleep.
I live where this beer is brewed! Bedford in Bedfordshire! How weird seeing an American with something brewed so close to me haha.
I tried this ale about a week ago. It has a very slight taste of sticky toffee pudding but that's about it.
Gavroche is awesome !
RUclips coming in clutch reccomending me a 10 year old ER video I've never seen before, nap time!
We have some great Ale beers in the UK EP. shame i can't send you some over.. newcastle brown is the bomb
Where did you get Einstök in the USA?
I'm from Iceland. :)
I want bacon now (P.S. Great video :D)
Please please can you make a sponge video!! I feel so numb towards asmr since I listen to it everyday but sponge noises are my biggest trigger
I'll add it to my list.
Thankyou so much
As far as your beers go, I can tell you that the German beer Dunkel is pronounced "dunk" like slam dunk, and "el" like the sound at the end noodle. Also, dunkel is the German word for dark. So it is Spaten (pronounced like the relaxing massage place and the metal cans are made from: spa-tin) Dark.
Oh, and Munchen (the u with umlauts, of course) is the German word for the city that we call Munic. So the beer was produced in Munic in case you were wondering.
Actually it's not "dunk," it's "doonk." Dunkel phonetically could be looked at as, "doonkel." U in German isn't "uh" like in English, it's more similar to a stressed, "ew."
What's a good volume to listen to this at
If you are dronking the german dunkel, i would suggest drinking it cold, that is how we german would drink it ;)
God that beer looks and sounds delicious. I wonder if it's special to your area
Toothpick container was good but a little loud, maybe if you held it in front of you like you did as soon as you picked it up, it would be a much better trigger. Everything else was flawless as usual.
Dude where did you get those microphone ear buds.... I want to buy a pair
soundprofessionals.com
Oh man, I love spaten lager. Not many people carry it where I live, but there's a German pub here that has it on tap that I enjoy going to. Also, bacon jerky sounds like a neat combination, but most of the stuff I've tried tastes like hammered ass.
Oh god, I was reading through the comments when you said "Oh look, a silica packet" and scrolled up as you were eating some more of the jerky. I thought you ate the silica packet......
31:33 amazing! Please do more not-scaring videos. :)
