  • Hey beer & movie fans, in this video I whisper about films & movies I've seen this year either via Netflix DVD or in theaters, as well as those coming out later this year (2014) that I'm interested in seeing, while offering a modest beer review of Einstok's Icelandic Toasted Porter.
Would love to hear what you've seen, what you plan on seeing, and if you've had this beer or going to try it.
Thanks as always for watching and for your support.
    Tingle on,
    E.R.

Hey Paul. My name's Chris. I've been watching your channel for a while now, and I'd just like to say thank you. I've recently come out of a very dark place in my life, and the relaxation and peace your content has brought me has helped bring me to where I am now. I cannot express how your channel and the entire ASMR community has helped me. After almost a year of enjoying your videos I got up the guts to say thanks. As a side note I'd like to know if you've ever taken a look at the MBTI personality tests? I think it might interest you considering your mental Heath Vlogs and such. (I personally am an INFP). Anyways that's all I have to say. Thanks again E.R, and as always, Tingle on.

My favorite movie out so far this year has been the Godzilla reboot. It was magnificent. From the actors, to the new take on the monsters, to the perfect balance between the over-the-top and simplicity of the action sequences, it really left a good impression on me. Your statement that it was everything you would want from a Godzilla movie is absolutely true.
The insects were called MUTO's, by the way.

      Jizzus Fudging Christ
I thought the only truly good actor was Bryan Cranston. Aaron Taylor Johnson's role as the main character was pretty dull and emotionless. The movie had too many different directions as well. Easily an overrated movie.

I love this kind of video, just chilling and talking about whatever. Most of the other ASMR content creators I know never really do this, which is a shame because it adds to the informal atmosphere that is a definite catalyst for ASMR.
I've said this in the past but I really do get more tingles from that sort of video than from many triggers-only videos. And I think part of the reason is that videos that consist exclusively of triggers, at least on a subconcious level, somehow have a less informal feel to them. I'm not very good at expressing this, but I hope you understand what I mean.
Those videos can still give me ASMR (though not a lot truly gives me tingles anymore these days - I think habituation is the cause for that), but this is the main reason why I suspect an ASMR film wouldn't work that well for me: it would feel more 'industrialized' (that's too heavy a word, but as I said it's a subconcious thing) *and* I'd be *looking* for triggers, which would activate my brain to a certain extent, while I use ASMR to do just the opposite.
So yeah, in summary: great video! :)

I don't know if I've recommended this before, but The Adjustment Bureau with Matt Damon is a really good film in my opinion. So is The Legend of Bagger Vance with Will Smith and The Pursuit of Happiness, also with Will Smith.
I liked Django as well, it had a bit of everything and didn't shy away from the gruesome truth of a horrible past. Just a great movie. Or film, I'm not always sure how to make the distinction. :)
The grand majority of Johnny Depp films. A few that come to mind: Blow, Ed Wood, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd, POTC of course (especially the first one), Alice in Wonderland, Public Enemies, ...
The movie I'm most looking forward to is Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Might also check out Kingsman: The Secret Service.

So I feel pretty confident in telling you based off of your tastes that if you are subscribed to HBO or have any access to watching a series online you should definitely watch Game of Thrones. I believe you would fall victim to this show's addictive nature. If you ever decide to watch the series, it would be cool to see you do a whispering dead-esk review of each episode.
