I’m glad that I’m such a novice I can enjoy this beautiful train layout. When it comes to trains I still have a little boy mentality. I can only feel sorry for the ‘experts’ who’ve lost that.
The last time I touched an HO engine had to be 1959 or 60. Now at 76. I still know, and remember the secret to a great layout. IMAGINATION. Terrific dedication to your little dreams becoming Big. Wonderful site.
I think the layout is awesome and very detailed. But your village, cars, trucks and the whole theme is late 1950's or 1960's. Your locomotives are all late model. You need some GP7 or GP9 locomotives and maybe some F7 units would be a good touch. I am a retired railroader and love the hobby.
Thanks for the inspiration! Lovely scene you have made! My husband and I are starting to build one together, so I love to see what others have done 😄👍🏻
On behalf of the members of the Central Florida Railroad Modelers I would like to thankyou for visiting us and posting videos of our layout. I will be linking these videos on our webpage. You are welcome to visit us anytime!
The skill and artistry of this layout is amazing. The details are impressive. Who cares if there's a mixture of motive power etc. For those that object, go count the rivets on your own layout. Awesome.
Very impressive, very well done. The detail is amazing. The video is extremely well shot and edited and I very much appreciate the fact that it isn't narrated. Let the video do the talking for you. Really well done.
Sorry, pressed wrong button! To continue what I was saying is that the way I've wired the layout, via googling it, I've made a mistake somewhere along the lines (no pun intended), where when I want to transfer a loco from the main (out direction,ie, from Central (city district for any that don't know what I mean), through a double X crossover to connecting line leading to the shunting area! Every time I try this the loco stops dead as if it's getting no power from the frogs or track , I don't know? I've got DCC set up, but I've also got some pre 90's & 2000 engines that I was told I could run with a simple (but a little pricey) conversion. When this happens, even though I've got signals set to stop the other train(s) from a collision, it just won't get across unless I manually touch wires to the track, which by doing so negates my signals to either slow any oncoming traffic at a certain pre arranged distance or stop any trains that are within the 'danger' zone,ie,@ 6 feet on my layout. This happens whether the train is old or new. Someone on You Tube suggested checking for voltage spikes and dead spots with a meter,or check that your crossover is actually functional and is doing what it's supposed to do !! I may have to rip it up and replace it with a new one!! Anyways, has anyone else had a problem like this on their layout?? Let me know if you want, I'd like to hear about any other problems train enthusiasts face!! Thanx guys!! .
One thing I've had a problem with is trying to operate several locos at once in different directions. I've got two mains, one for each direction ofcourse and a shunting area on an HO layout @ 16'& 8 inches (5 metric meters), by 14' ( 4.2 meters),
Olá, sou do Brasil. Obrigado. Vanderley.
That is one beautiful layout these people that put this one together have some great talent wish I could do that but I can’t even come close but I keep trying
Like the layout by the way I have a ho scale bnsf train with a union pacific and with a cargo also a caboose 🚂🚂🛤🛤and with a light for the switch track🚦🚦🚦🚃🚃
I have a question I have a HO scale layout and I have some inclin track from Bachmann and 22’ radius on turns I completed layout but now when I go to put power to the track it makes a chirping sounds what could that be and would I need a rerailer another one added in a different one since I have a rerailer already
I’m gonna ask a dumb question because I’m. Just wanting to get into this. What is the best scale to get into I don’t wanna mini but I don’t want big either. I like the in between look. And also where do you go to find all these building and rocks and things you have in this video. Maybe a silly question but this is awesome
There was a time in my life where I wanted to copy one of these large ones but build it on N or Z scale. Never had that amount of time or money back in the day.
Guys, Can anyone tell me which coal hoppers are the ones that have the light green paint on the ends? They are in one of the coal consists at 4:22. Who makes them, or are they custom? Thanks for any help!!
i wish i could have something like that but i have to have my own place and been pricing trains, track, buildings and etc. and its not cheap and is out of my budget range
1st & foremost excellent job. But since it's a Florida railroad club why not have the layout Florida themed? For instance, rock trains and phosphate operations? Maybe that's too much to expect. I mean some type of citrus operations some auto racks and what not?
Amazing layout! I'm curious, what brand & power size of the transformer are you using to run a layout of this size? Are you having to use power packs to sustain the electrical current? While watching the video it would be useful to an amateur such as myself if someone would narrate some of the technical expertise you employed in building this model.
Click on the small square at the bottom right, then turn your phone or tablet sideways or where you can see it longways. That will take care of your issue. Have fun!
A great layout, however I think it is a pity that the makers of this layout didn't choose to take locomotives that do fit to the time frame that did determine the layout itself. Especially this CSX coal train doesn't belong in that time frame, as an example of what I mean.
They actually did. The layout is based in the late '50s. Period correct locos and rolling stock throughout the layout for our operating sessions. This video is from an open Saturdays where members can run anything they like.
This is an amazing model RR.
Needs some steam and 1st gen power.
I’m glad that I’m such a novice I can enjoy this beautiful train layout.

I really enjoyed this. Especially got a chuckle at the woman hanging laundry on the clothes line. Very creative! Thanks for the fun!

I'm one of those people that would be eyes deep in this if I had the space the time and the money lol. It's so fascinating to watch.
The detail on this layout is amazing as is the unit coal train with DPU no less. Truly impressive!
Looks amazing love it I have HO scale layout started Nov 2022 finished March 2023 please keep the video an pictures coming thank you
This place is 100%look like real life in the USA I love this place
Great track layout. Always wanted something like this as a kid. Can't afford it now. Thanks for sharing your layout with all of us.
Nice speed and sound of trains. Soft music helps
Magnificent layout !!! I can only imagine all the figures moving when I'm not looking !!

It's your layout---build your way. U r the only one that needs to be happy with it.
My hat's off to the man that built this train set that is cool awesome job
Very impressive, very well done. The detail is amazing. The video is extremely well shot and edited and I very much appreciate the fact that it isn't narrated. Let the video do the talking for you. Really well done.
Thank you so much!!!
Very nicely done. I love the texture and detail. Lot's of realism. 10 out of 10

Absolutely Beautiful..... I love it, I wish I had the time and money for a setup like this 😩
Thank you for running scale speeds
This…is beyond my comprehension. Wow!!!
What a superb video of this beautiful layout and it was certainly very enjoyable to watch on a big TV with the sound turned up.
Many thanks!
beautiful layout! A little odd seeing modern trains running on a 50's layout but it is beautifully built
They got a whole funeral/ burial going on. 🤣😂 I love EVERYTHING!! Words can’t describe how great this is!
Magnificent
Beautiful detail! Just now getting into the hobby after years of RC car and scale trail trucks. This is a beautiful piece of art!
An interesting mix of time periods!!
i like the little addition of the CN tankers
Great layout!

Beautiful Layout and very well photo shot work.

Epic.
Nice track, I can appreciate the work that went into this.
Absolutely perfect layout. Well done. thanks for posting.
Incredible layout…..just subscribed
That is one beautiful layout these people that put this one together have some great talent wish I could do that but I can’t even come close but I keep trying
Keep trying. Practice makes perfect. I have rebuilt parts of my layout 3 or 4 times
Like the layout by the way I have a ho scale bnsf train with a union pacific and with a cargo also a caboose 🚂🚂🛤🛤and with a light for the switch track🚦🚦🚦🚃🚃
Who ever owns this ❤🎉iam thankful to him that is a great investment and intertenment to injouy
Beautiful layout.
Wow beautiful layout amazing I love model trains I would love to get some in the future again I did have 2 in the past but lost them both
great landscapes and bridge work great great job
Do even model railroads *need* the DPU on the back in some cases, or is that just for aesthetics?
Absolutely fantastic layout 👍
Enjoyed the video! Looks like you’ve been working hard to do all of that.
Now this is awesome
Good is so good! I love the video

song?
I want to do this so badly but I dont think I have the patience or artistic ability.

Hi! The HO scale is the most popular scale with the greatest selection of sets and accessories...
There was a time in my life where I wanted to copy one of these large ones but build it on N or Z scale. Never had that amount of time or money back in the day.
Great share
Very rich in detail.
Super nice layout
Beautiful layout!
You could show me a random picture of this layout and I wouldn’t know it’s a model. That’s insane man great job 😲
Guys, Can anyone tell me which coal hoppers are the ones that have the light green paint on the ends? They are in one of the coal consists at 4:22. Who makes them, or are they custom? Thanks for any help!!
Beautiful work!
Love the detail!
The more I watch, the more I am impressed with the detail. I can’t say it enough.
A real nice Layout. Bob
Excellent capture my friend like and Greetings
We’re did you get the train signals from?
*Impressive* layout.
Amazing layout. 👍👍👍👍
I find myself wondering. How many of us who posted here....FELT as we did when we were younger? I ask, because I STILL DO when I see a train.
Awesome
Excellent work.
The layout seems to be a really nice 1950s scene. The Diesels (especially the ConRail) were anachronistic. Sort of a shame.
Nice layout Thanks for sharing
i wish i could have something like that but i have to have my own place and been pricing trains, track, buildings and etc. and its not cheap and is out of my budget range

Very Nice Layout.
Where do you purchase your vehicles from?
Is that sand patch grade?
I love it! Awesome!
wuaooo awesone congratulations
nice layout for sure.
Parabéns beleza de maquete. Parece real mesmo
I wish my train look like this
The modeling standards set and followed by this club is outstanding and obvious.
Do they do Operations in addition to mainline running?
Nice...NICE...yup that's better.
Very good👍

It all Digitrax power supplies and equipment.

🏁🚴🚴🚴👍👍👍brazil
👍👍
Nice!
Nice but your need4life advertisement took up half the screen made me turn off to look at other train videos.
Click on the small square at the bottom right, then turn your phone or tablet sideways or where you can see it longways. That will take care of your issue. Have fun!
amazing layout i love it!!! im interested to know what company and where did you get those autofloods those CSX loco's were pulling?
A great layout, however I think it is a pity that the makers of this layout didn't choose to take locomotives that do fit to the time frame that did determine the layout itself. Especially this CSX coal train doesn't belong in that time frame, as an example of what I mean.

@@makerjeff86 OK, in that case, the footage was made on a wrong day, I'll guess. Thanks for your answer!
3:06 GIVE ME THE MONON. I DEMAND IT!!!! lol.
GREAT!!
I think fort Madison iowa should be a good model railroad layout
