    My noise in the rear was my rear sway bar bushings at the frame mount. The sound was horrible, grab the rear of the machine and rock it back and forth and maybe yours will also make the same noise

    Same thing with my 2020 - have the exact same bike. Told real break in is 75 hours. Never heard that about the U joint??? That is not good to know...I ride alone often.

    I have the same machine with 400 miles going thru this right now… most recent dealer just told me it’s the break caliper. We may have different issues but I agree not acceptable. Unreal for what we pay.

    • @theatvfamily
      @theatvfamily  2 года назад +1

      Yeah mine was definitely not the brake caliper. It was something in the rear end but I got rid of the machine. I traded it for a RMaxx sxs

    I have the 2019 sportsman premium and I hear a clicking sound once in a while when it has been sitting for awhile and I start to back up. Mine is just a one click and done and it only does it reverse. As far as the U joints goes mine has over 1600 miles (not sure how many hours but it’s over 75) and I haven’t had any issues with them.

    • @timmyphillips9023

    the clicking sound is due to the brake pads being pulled forward and bouncing back, this is due to a very small fit between the pads and the disc. Slightly lubricated the brackets on the brake pads and the sound disappeared. I changed wheel bearings twice before I found out.

      @sigbjrnklokk9473 3 года назад +1

      @@MichaelWilliams-if4qk The clicking sound only occurs only when you sit on the ATV and drive, do not click if you just push it back and forth on the garage floor. If you try to brake with the brake lever then this clicking sound stops, that's how I managed to find out where the fault was.

    I have never had an issue with mine 2015 sportsmen XP 1000 with the clicking noise in the back even when it was new, but I will tell you this don't run it threw the mud even if you put a rad kit and snorkel kit on it. Mud destroys the four-wheeler trust me from putting new axles and new bearings and the knuckles and new hubs and brakes after breaks bushings after bushings even a day when I just want to trail ride something would always break and that's because I put it threw the mud before. its not worth it to destroy an expensive machine. Also have gone threw 2 sets of u joints front and back. I hate to tell you when you hit 1000 miles and so on your steering will start to get loose all of the sportsmen' modles get loose and your exhaust seal will start to rot and it will sound like shit. If your wondering your exhaust seal is were it connects from the back of your exhaust to the pipe that goes to the headers. The seal is a silver color. Anyways very nice bike u have.

    What's the purpose of that bar? Is it like a seatbelt?

    • @theatvfamily
      @theatvfamily  3 года назад +1

      no not necessarily a seat belt but a grab bar. the little ones can quite grab the bars to the side. its too much of a wide spread to hold on correctly so we designed the bar to hold on to

  • @leonwilliams2498

    I thought I broke something, but it looks like you're having the same issue. However, I did notice that it doesn't make the noise when placing it in neutral and rolling backwards off my trailer.

    • @theatvfamily

      Nope, and it also wont do it if the wheels are off the ground. I jacked it up to see if i could see where it was coming from. it only does it with a load

    I have a brand new 2021 sportsman 570 making the same noise but louder. Coasting downhill on gravel sounds like the trans/rear diff is going to fall out, and that is with a helmet on. Dealer told me its drive line slap, and said its normal. I'm pretty pissed that a 7K dollar brand new ATV sounds like this.

    I've had the same freaking noise on my new 2020 Polaris sportsman 850. . I took it back they replaced the rear drive shaft and rear diff. Said it had excessive slack. Mine only had 60 miles on it. After 3 rides the noise is back. Pops one time when I press the gas and let off! Took it back they said Polaris tech said it's normal.. I just can't except this !!
