  • Ever wondered what actual real-life neuroscience research looks like? Or what it would be like to be a neuroscientist? I certainly have, so that's why in my very first youtube video I'm showing the in's and out's of neuroscience research at Cambridge University!!
I'm joined by my friend Mairead, who does experiments on MY BRAIN as part of her lab's neuroscience study that looks at the brain basis of OCD and compulsive behaviour.
If your interested in becoming a scientist yourself, want to know more about how science works, or would like to see more of Cambridge University, let me know in the comments what YOUR particular interests are (e.g. which types of science) and it'll be the next video on my list!!!
Many thanks to the Behavioural Clinical Neuroscience Institute, the Cambridge Department of Psychology, and the legendary Professor Trevor W. Robbins for hosting me at their facilities.
If you're interested in participating in the study yourself (and are based in the UK) you can email mrs.eeg.cambridge@gmail.com, or see instagram at ocd_cambridge.

Damn, this was super good for being a FIRST RUclips video! If you wouldn’t have said that, I would’ve thought that you were a veteran RUclipsr! Keep it up! 🤙🏻👍🏻

Amazing! What an awesome episode! Love the information and the humour. Will you do a follow up after the study is published?

Super nice video! So important and fun to see the daily part of research. The “who wore it better” part tho 😂

So amazing and informative as I'm trying to navigate my next move on my career path! I would ask two things: 1. What kind of coding software does Mairead use? 2. Suggestion! A video on a fusion physicist !!!??? Another super interesting career path to me, I would love to see more about it. Lastly though, thank you so much you are the only channel of your kind that I can find and it's so incredibly cool and interesting and helpful to see! Thanks!

Hello brother, just wanted to say that your videos are awesome. Just keep creating content and keep improving. Don't back down because of the low suscriber count at the moment

Hi Alexander I'm an aspiring neuroscientist
But more than that I'm also interested in improving the drugs that I used to treat mental illnesses.
Could you please make a video on a medicinal chemist?
I also wanted to add that asking questions and also asking the fellow scientists on their journey is really helpful.
Thank you so much for doing this.
