I'm only a little over twenty years behind you 😊and I'm finding myself in the same situation as you are. I don't have a complete plan yet, but here's what I've done so far: 1. did a Google search for top colleges for neuroscience 2. decided to look in depth at the neuroscience curricula from Harvard, MIT, and Johns Hopkins University. According to usnews ranking, these colleges are in the top five US colleges for neuroscience. The other two are Stanford and US San Francisco. 3. started a list of courses I'm interested in. This is a work in progress. I currently only have about twenty courses on the list. 4. looked up the syllabi for those courses to see the recommended textbooks, recommended readings, and the kinds of assignments students needed to complete. I wasn't able to find all syllabi, but I looked up similar courses on edu sites (sites that end with the _edu_ extension) and was able to find textbooks and other useful information that way. 5. made a 4-year plan for myself and am currently studying Biology, Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Neuroscience, and Calculus I. Well, I'm actually studying more than that, but that's because Neuroscience is only a part of a slightly bigger goal. 😊 I haven't yet found other people who are teaching themselves neuroscience, but that's because I haven't looked yet. I did find some channels I enjoy watching, such as Tina Huang, Andrew Dotson, and Dimitri Bianco. None of them are learning neuroscience but I like their mindsets and their work ethics. They have a traditional college education but they go way above and beyond that and teach themselves new things. I hope this gives you some ideas for you own neuroscience learning plan. Best wishes to you. Your comment made me smile. I like the can-do attitude. ❤
@@BiancaAguglia thank you. I've looked I to neuroscience online courses through courses and education. The hbp human brain project website has some online courses which are quite interesting. I'm thinking of one of these. Also edx and coursra websites do as well.

There is so much passion in this video. I just so happened to want to study neuroscience, but I don't know what I could do with it. I love the saying, "each one teach one," so maybe I could teach neuroscience one day.
Hey I really love neuroscience. I am deeply fascinated by the fundamental questions. The only thing witholding me from choosing neuroscience is that I'm afraid i won't get tenure. Is there any possibility outside of academia where i can do basic research? And what is the chance of getting tenure as a neuroscientist?
Hey, don’t spend your entire life doing something you don’t like in the hope of getting time to do something you love. Find something you’d die for and do it while you’re alive.
@@zhraaashraf3131 Can you go to school for some other type of science major and learn neuroscience on your own? Hello! I am from Italy 🇮🇹 I studied Industrial Design as a bachelor degree but I’m starting to get deeply fascinated with neuroscience as I am developing a prototype of a helmet for sensory impulses detection for my thesis, working with a clinic that offers experimental approaches to therapy with new technologies on autistic children . I am currently starting the process to apply to a Master’s degree in neuroscience, but I’m not sure I have the proper curriculum :/ . We definetly study chemistry and Phisics in Industrial Design but on a less deep level … What should I do?
I honestly wanted to study Neuroscience here in the Philippines, but universities here don't offer that program, that's why I shifted into Psychology. Can I study the master's program in Neuroscience even though I took Psychology as my undergraduate?
Hi, it depends on the course content of your undergraduate psychology degree (whether it is more social psychology, biological psychology, or anything in between) and also the type of neuroscience Masters you'd like to pursue (e.g. cognitive neuroscience, molecular neuro, systems neuro, brain imaging, etc etc). In summary, when it comes to Masters degrees or any other postgraduate study, it's best to ask the specific course provider what you need, as they vary hugely from one course to another. Good luck!
@@BritishNeuroscienceAssociation Hello, thanks for replying, I am currently a Bachelor of Science in Psychology student, which focuses more on the neurobiological processes of the human brain.
