It’s important to always check your fit before sewing a new pair of shoes 🩰
Try on new shoes with fresh tights or Fitting Socks on a clean surface.
In order to return or exchange, shoes must be spotlessly clean, without ribbons or elastics attached.
To get started, tighten the drawstrings. Gently pull them parallel to the floor, then tie them into a shoelace knot.
Check the length by testing the pinch at the heel. Ensure you can pinch about 1/4" of drawstring casing at the heel when en pointe. Unlike most other pointe shoes, our satin barely stretches at all!
When checking your shank strength, make sure you're happy with the pliability right from the start. Unlike traditional pointe shoes, Gaynor Minden shanks never break-in. No matter which shank you choose, it will never get softer!
