The N55 is such a great engine. It’s underrated today because most love the b58, but i love the n55 engine.

I'm really glad to see that his car is used and driven. The fact that he didn't have time or whatever to get it detailed or do it himself doesn't really bother me as I like that he's using the car and driving it as opposed to it sitting in his garage wiping it down with a diaper. Or under glass never getting used as it's meant to be. Excellent!

Tall gearing same as my manual 140. Thats what makes it feel like a long pull and not really frantic. Flat out and you're in licence losing territory in 3rd.
People with these types of cars are usually too scared to go above 30😂🤘
yeah but u just cant drive like that on a public road...especially congested and narrow ones u have in UK which along with left hand drive is unfortunate....

Honestly I’d leave the badges on, I hate the tinted headlights look on such a beautiful looking aggressive front end (imo), but besides that I’d say this car is properly built! Great job and can’t wait to see more. Currently grinding for this car soon!

I went from an M235i (with MPE) to an M4 which was stock and now has the Remus non-resonated system. I don't think the M235i sounds better. Just different. My M4 has a grunt and a howl to it that I like. Deep in higher gears and a howl at high revs in 1st and 2nd.

The N55 sounds so much better than the S55 hands down. I’d take this over the F80 M3 or F82 M4 any day

Yeah man. Ideally it would have had lsd and brake/disc upgrade but haven’t got that far yet, hopefully soon though!

20" wheels make the factory brakes look so small. They aren't, though.

@George yeah not on a 235i though. Its an N55, 500BHP in one of those would be intake, inlets, outlets, cooler, upper and lower charge pipe, DV or BOV, Gapped spark plugs, uprated turbo, Custom tune through MHD.
Ive got an N55 135i coupe, ive got all the mods listed above, bar the turbo and im around 440bhp give or take. So this being 500 seems abit optimistic and it doesnt really seem like it is. But either way its a cool build, owner definitely needs some track time as he does seem a little uncertain how to control the car at times.

As much as I do like the 2 series, you can see the effort this car’s had put into it with the styling... I’m just not sure it looks like it puts out 500bhp, either the video is deceiving or your review on the sequential R33 GTR has completely distorted my perception of fast?! 🤷🏼♂️🤣
Think people are so used to double clutch gearboxes these days it makes manuals look slow
F22 is a future classic. Lowest mileage n55/b58 will return very nicely. Just sayin 😉

This car needs a good detailing, brakes and spacers 👌🏻
Sharn du Preez spacers causes rubbing issues and this has been a daily for a long time, looking at getting a wrap and then keeping on top of it much better. Also looking at alternate stance options to have a better look
@@bmwshowcase2041 Cool man, just looks like the front wheels especially could to with an extra 10-15mm just to make it look 110% Wrap will look nice, wraps really evolved over the years and you can get any color under the sun. Wicked car man👍🏻 Any idea what color you want to wrap it?
BMWShowcase Try a good decontamination and machine polish. I bet it wouldn’t take much to bring that back. I always feel that a wrap shouldn’t be used to hide bad paint when underneath is perfectly salvageable. No wrap can match perfectly polished paint.
