My dad had an old RS turbo. The 1.6, and he nodded it. Also a custom version (with the side indicators) I think he said it was near 400HP. Went off the clock, and because they were light it flew. Fast enough to keep with a new 458.
i remember late 90's when v8's werent turboed much and when they were they still werent crazy HP, now there are 2 litres pulling 1000hp its crazy hows things evolved and became cheaper too

T5 is a 2.5 engine. This is a 2.3 at least in the states it is. Ive got a volvo s60(2.5 base) just sitting around. I may take it out and modify it just to get the better exhaust manifold flow(5 plenums instead of 1) and take advantage of the twin scroll

Honestly we came with 0-60/62 decades ago. Maybe it was a great measure of performance in the 80's and 90's but now the cars are soo much faster. I think we need to use the 0 to 100 mph.
Not all cars are equal and all have their purpose. F1 great cornering and acceleration. Rally cars perfect for dirt and being airborne. Thrust SSC perfect for straight line speed. Bumper cars(Dodgems) great for slamming into each other. I think my point is this is not for wet country lanes then attempting 0-60 times. More suited for outrunning the plod in those dual carriageways. 🤣

That's not realistic i do less than 300 with a stage 2 ST (stock injectors and turbo), so NO WAY you can do more than 300 with 1000cc injectors, massive turbo and a map like that except maybe if you drive at 1000trm all the time.
Traction from the mk 2 focus RS is bloody impressive even on road tyres but 350 ish seems to be the limit in the dry before you start cut back the power in 1st and 2nd.
Lactrix the boosted Boiz civic runs 9s and taken into consideration its a 90 s h22a with half the setup bought of eBay and its maxed out at 700 plus that’s awesome,plus it wasnt far behind 1000hp gtr in a half mile run with a tops of nearly 170.this ford would be lethal on a drag strip,but dial that prelude in a car built 10 yrs ago would be a good race never mind the mr2 with a fully built k series now that would milk this ford down the quarter mile.the civic they have never seen 1000 he but 700 at wheels at 9000 rpm is quick,especially for an old engine in a 20 plus old civic.i would say it would be a good race,just my opinion.the prelude hasn’t gone under 10 seconds cos it wheel spins all the way down the quarter mile with a 150 plus trap speed,wouldnt wanna be in it if hooks.10.08 I think is it best time.

I've got the 3 Dr ST for a time attack car and its same engine with different rods and Turbo, so cheaper to build it up. but it is a lot of work.

@@jobu9737 plenty of 2.5 T5's in the States, the Focus ST and RS uses a variation of the engine that initially appeared in the Volvo S60R/V70R.
It's an I5 engine not a T5
