I really like this car, very nice, they put stickers under the wrap yea, on the side skirts, love the kit too, feel your pain about bot choosing the B58 but look at that smile ahen talking about the rasp and note. Worth it and at least its not an N55 haha! Nice ride bro Im in Bournemouth I feel you giys are near might check out that group you mentioned Ive got a few bimmers kicking around now days lol, stay safe and keep having fun anyway.....👍👌👍

Best looking 2 series I've ever seen. The car looks awesome. I'm not really a petrol head so I don't understand why people try and make their car so fast it blow's the engine. if I had this car I would tone it down with the sound and the power.
It’s not really that people make their car to go so fast to blow the engine, theres many different engines that are specifically built for power and many after market upgrades have been made to add and run higher power efficiently. in the long run most of the time, yes it does put wear on the engine, but that’s where it depends on how much power you want and what engine you are dealing with, many engines like the reknown 2jz, LS engines, or hell even Honda motors can handle beatings and high power for many miles and never fucking die. All in all, sometimes mistakes happen and engines blow, but nobody wants to blow their engine, us smart ones don’t do that.

Lil more tricky to fix the fuel cap thing then people realise but yea personally I'd fab another panel to clip in it really makes them look incomplete to me too.....

I was thinking about applying a tune to my M240 but a cam cover failure earlier this year also causing an injector to fail has given me pause for thought. I've only got 12k on the clock. I don't have any mods but have protected the paintwork and the car is mint. (I do have an m sport exhaust)
Is that the b58 engine?
@@dns9155 yes was b58. Sold the car last year on 24k miles and didn't have any other problems. The guy that bought it from me out a tune on taking it to 420. I got a Leon cupra now but miss the beamer.
@@ChipZilla69 how was the oil consumption? Does the cupra consume oil? It’s the 2.0 TSI golf R engine right?
@@dns9155 The beamer never consumed oil but the cupra does. Mine is the cupra 280. I serviced it in Feb and the oil light came on in August so i had to top it up. PS it was coolant that leaked on the beamer causing the injector to fail

I'm just in the process of fitting this body kit to mine, I would have gone for a manual but tbh I love the 8 speed auto on this, I'm normally a diehard manual head but I love the flappy paddels in this thing.

Yea tell me about it I'm die hard JDm buy might buy the latest m240i xdrive after getting hooked on a E93 335i I flipped a few months ago, I've always hated them really but these new 2 series (B58 in a tiny rear wheel bias 4wd, thank you) have my attention big time....

Very nice. I'm always curious about comparisons to the N55 engine compared to the B58 which is supposed to be much better.
I suspect BMW used the N55 for the M2 as the B58 wasn't tried and tested at that time.

What do the people think about the n55 vs b58 I’m looking at buying an m2 but the b58 has sooo much more tuning capabilities but the m2 just looks the nuts .. bit of a head f**k

SurreyDan depends what you’re after, M240i can act much more like a daily than the M2, the DCT can be clunky at low speeds where as the ZF 8 speed is very good. The manual comes with auto rev matching which is cool

@@MancNwt well I've had the 435i and 440i and the 440i sounds much better. Everyone that's actually had either engine will know that the b58 is obviously a better engine but sounds much more aggressive. N55 sounds okay in the M2 but that's it

The car is modified well except for the side intakes. Have one on the front arch panel or rear arch panel. Not both, looks ridiculous

Great looking kit, too bad no one cared enough to wash the damn thing before filming. It literally has shit on the rear window. Those wheels look like they haven't seen water in months. Engine bay and interior are filthy. Filled with dust and debris. No one prepped for this feature.

car is completely unique, opened up various businesses opportunities and networking, lead me to a career in the car industry now, probably the best thing I've ever done lol..
oh, and I still spent less than the cash gap to an M2, and made it look like this.

yep and m235i hasnt the support mods for that extra power so the m2 will be way more reliable

I preferred to not pay 5k + on insurance for an M2, maybe think before you speak. M235i was £600 all mods declared with a dedicated modding insurance broker.
