- I FINALLY got around to tuning my BMW M235i with Bootmod3, and this car hauls now! The sheer punch you get from the immense torque and horsepower gains make this car a total blast to drive and now it can compete with some seriously powerful cars!

Had a 200 cell cat and custom tune on my M140i, 455bhp/634nm the B58 engine is a masterpiece.
The M135i/M235i isn't far behind, great cars and great engines.
Geezus those 6-Cylinder Turbos sounds so damn good...the epitome of BMW sound

Hi SCT, what exhaust mods do you have, sounds pretty epic in this video - 'race car', but not too loud and no cheap cracks and bangs - burble is always welcome but without cracks and bangs
Cant wait man, I bought full bolt ons and a high flow Active Autowerke catted downpipe before I bought the car. and the BM3 with all OTS maps. Finally have all the bolt ons on (intake, turbo inlet, boost/charge pipe, intercooler) and still need to install the ignition coils/sparks/ downpipe. Then its time to taste stage 1 and 2. What are you feelings about the OEM diverted valve? Some people insist its a good idea to upgrade to the GFB DV+ but I dont like the sounds of it, and it causes some N55 owner issues
love that you’ve kept the exterior stock. the n55 tuned up make this thing an even bigger sleeper. excited to see where this build goes bro!

I’m waiting for my F25 X3 xDrive35i to get its VSRF Downpipe installed as I write and I’ve already been sold on the idea that I MUST get a BM3 tune vs my ultra conservative Dinan Stage 1 tune 🤦♂️ and even over the JB4 which until the last few weeks, was gonna be my new tune. This video just helped confirm what I need to do. My FMIC arrives today, install this weekend, or tmo morning if I can’t wait lol. Thanks for another good video!

did you get the ACN (Arizona, Cali, Nevada) 91 or regular 91 tune?

So your 335i n54 was slower than the 235i on same tune and fuel? Can you race another n54 with same mods to prove this?

What yields the best speed in red light drag race? Put lever to left and DSC OFF? or Sport + and Lever to left. I like sport plus because throttle response is increased, I'm assuming its better cus power get to the wheels quicker?
shiftd are faster as well on sport and sport+

it's a full fabspeed catless downpipe with a fabspeed muffler bypass. it drones a bit yes, but overall i love the sound

You can reflash back to stock before you go to the dealer, so you might be fine.

Did you buy your car new or used? If used how many miles were on it?
rambow70 i bought it used from the original owner for $25,500 in January with 45,000 miles, and now it is currently right under 57,000 miles. no issues

Sounds great but I hope that you can tell how many seconds 0-60 mph the car gives you after all of the mods that you have done. because with my stock 435i I smoked the dodge charger 392 Hemi as well but not for a big difference

When i owned the car it never once gave me any issues. N55 has proved to be a reliable engine in my experience

yea at that time there was no intercooler installed, never had a single issue. i did install an intercooler about 6 months later

N55 sounds great... B58 is better for higher performances (because close deck engine is stronger)... B58 is more heavy thats true.

True... i really like the N55... and most of times a new engine doesn't mean improvements... but in this case i think the B58 is a good replacement...

funny, when I bought my f22 I hated hated hated the exhaust sound/note. My 6.1 liter v8 spoils me in that dept. However, after having gone full bolt-ons, tune, + exhaust mods, this little n55 sounds pretty insane now. .. I suppose I'll keep it LOL

I have a stock 2015 M235i and I want to tune it really bad but don’t want to waive the warranty; should I just tune it with the bootmode lol?
it's up to you man! I personally loved the car when it was tuned and never had any issues. but you might run the risk of voiding your warranty

i dont believe bootmod3 support is offered on the E92 platform but you can check on their website!
Bootmod3 is only for f series but u can run jb4 or mhd (or both) but as far as bolt ons go u can run essentially the same setup

The reason you go with bootmod3 over jb4. Bootmod3 is an actual flash tuner while jb4 is basically a glorified boost controller

Simply Car Things Heard good things about CTS turbo? I really like their intake, downpipe, and intercooler; they’ve seem to have really good fitment which is why I’m thinking of going with them over VRSF

I always wonder how these aggressive tunes affect the life span of cars. High performance factory cars already have issues due to high stress and tight tolerances over time. So doing things like this .... But hey it makes it so much more fun!
i think as long as you have the correct bolts ons & stay on top of your maintenance you won't have any issues. these motors have a high capacity for power and leave a lot on the table to play with
I agree. It will be fine. But gotta stay on top of gaskets and seals. Higher boost equals wearing those parts faster. But its all good.
Do these cars run inlets like I saw for e92? Would you guys recommend inlets btw?
i believe they do, i don't think they're really necessary unless you upgrade your turbo, but I could be wrong
