    I am new to BMW! Came from a 17 WRX. Picked up a 18 m240i xDrive with 9k miles on it. Appreciate all your input. Learning a lot about my new platform. Love it so far. I agree with you 100% regarding power to handling. My to do list is stage 1, dinan springs, wheels, pilot sport 4S’s and strut bar. Then sway bars ,intake , charge pipe, and on to stage 2 with DP and Water Meth. Thanks!

    Just wondering if bootmod3 is safe with no modifications I’m going to run the stage 1 91 octane tune it states “no modifications required” or would you say just get the downpipe and chargepipe to be safe?

    So butt % dyno , was the stock difference to stage 1 more than stage 1 to stage 2 ? Or are they similar improvements? From
    Stock to 1 and to 2 ?

    • @FritzRamos
      @FritzRamos  4 года назад +1

      Similar effect but at different points in the power band, so it's hard to make a direct comparison. Stage 1 you can push up the engine more so I suppose the torque is more noticeable, while stage 2 propels you forward which is a more noticeable hp increase. Did that help?

    Fritz going to tune my car soon. Are you ever concerned with the life of the engine after being on stage 2 aka rod bearings?

    • @FritzRamos
      @FritzRamos  3 года назад +1

      I haven't had any problems with stage 2 so far. Rod bearings were a problem on the e90 generation. Mostly because BMW used copper, since then they've switched over to a stronger metal. The n55s usually have valve cover gasket issues but that could happen on a stock tune.
      I personally enjoy stage 2 and would recommend it. Tuned or not it will still boil down to how you drive and maintain your car. If you take care of the car it'll take care of you. Hope that helps
