Stumbled onto this fan on Amazon after much search. I hate how youtube is riddled with AI voiced bull**** "fan reviews" that just recommend the same average fans, like the Honeywell Quietset that is apparently quite loud. After finding this fan, I found exactly ONE video review on it. This video. Which is short, has all the info I needed, and helped me decide on buying it.
As far as my review of it is concerned, It is VERY quiet, surprisingly so, seems very well built, the oscilation of the fan is SILENT, and I really love that it has a feature to remove and wash the fans.
The remote is tiny and responsive, and the LCD screen has a temperature display and the very convenient Auto mode. There is also a function to AUTO turn off the screen if it is idle for a minute, which is done by holding the oscillation button for 3 seconds, which I greatly appreciate as there is no need to have the screen on all the time.
    5/5, absolutely brilliant fan.
Thank you so much for helping me choose this fan!

I have a levoit air purifier and the way it operates, build quality and sensitivity of the air monitor is all brilliant. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another device from this brand

This fan is awesome thus far.
Only thing I don't like is I have it on the basic mode at night on me setting 3, but randomly after 2 hours is starts oscillating, it wakes me up and I have to turn it off, then it does it again 2 hours later.
Is it because I have it on nighttime mode?
    Thanks

I have a similar tower fan, very similar display. I imagine the Levoit has the same issues mine has. Just like a good computer case, these fans should have removable dust filters that is tool free so you can take it out, shake it off or rinse and put back in without any hassle. I've had to clean my fan with compressed air or even my leaf blower. A feature overlooked by all these fan companies.

Any kind of filter will restrict what it is capable of doing unfortunately, i would recommend you get and air purifier, this helps me with both fans and my PC, just make sure its out the way of any other products like the fan and TV etc 👍 Levoit make them too, great for sucking up all the dust etc and help with allergies, i own some!

I just bought one and hear a constant humming if it's turned on. It's really annoying. and I'm a bit confused weather I'm just more sensitive to it or if mine's broken.

Does anyone else notice a subtle, but annoying, high pitch rattle/whistle coming from it?
Had mine a few days and it was alright for first 2 nights but now I hear a constant tinkle - almost like a conveyor belt of glass bottles clinking away, very quiet but audible above the usual rush of air. Maybe m' king lears are getting a bit sensitive as I age but no other fan in the house, including some Chinese generics, are this annoying despite being louder.
Bit bummed out coz everything else about the fan is fantastic, but now I can't unhear and wondering whether to return/swap - if it's a design issue which my hearing is incompatible with, or just a faulty one.

I have been using mine for about 4 weeks and haven't noticed a sound like this. I would see how it goes and if its still doing it, then contact the retailer you purchased it from.

I think it's called "coil whine", and some people complained about it in the "negaative reviews" , it's a common thing on these tower fans.

    • @droolio
      @droolio Год назад

@@alexspata Yep I think you're right, and can confirm my fan was suffering from this.
Actually got Amazon to send out a replacement, which I received yesterday. Having the two fans standing side by side was ~~eye~~ ear opening. New fan had none of the high pitch whir, but does have an ever-so-slightly louder hum - like a transformer. Sent back the first one coz the high pitch whistle was really quite annoying, especially for sleep, and the hum ain't so bad. Not quite Starship Enterprise warp core hum but much more reasonable. 4.5 / 5 stars

@@lords-electrical Hey!! Just watched and checked all 3 of the videos, firstly thank you so much for asking my opinion. I think the longer distance view on the first video is better than the closer view in the second video. About third video, sadly I don't think ASMR watchers would be too interested on nature sounds since we can't see you, or hear your voice. ASMR is mostly based on voice and people love your voice, that's why people were asking for ASMR videos from you. Instead, I think you should do role-play videos, because that's how most of the ASMR videos work, like it's one of the main things. For example you can do a dentist appointment roleplay with gloves and etc, or a barber roleplay with the scissors, or a therapist appointment etc etc. You can find many examples on RUclips. I think people would be definitely so much more interested in this, compared to book reading videos. One last thing, you should sometimes whisper if you can because that's an another main thing on ASMR hahaha, you can do that on roleplay videos. The seperation of left and right sound channel with different mics is also an another perfect thing, but you're new to ASMR so maybe you can do that in the future, just a suggestion. I hope this comment posts and you can read it, because RUclips flags most of the comments sometimes even though they're not spam. I would always be happy to give you feedbacks about this, I don't know if I can contact you somewhere other than comments (would be easier) but yeah. This was a bit long sorry I know, hope it helps!!

Fans are designed to cool 'you' down by driving the warm air from around you, this will help ofc, if you want to cool a 'room' down you will need aircon lol, very expensive to buy and cost lots to run, if you have the money no problem i guess ✌
