Having said that I do recall Taker, having performed at least one of his tombstones on Mark Henry using the riskier technique… which I guess is a testament to both his strength and the knowledge he’d accrued from around 20 more years of experience.

Taker is the sort of guy i would buy a beer without hesitation if he said he was thirsty. It is absolutely crystal from both his in ring work and his interviews etc, that he has too much respect for himself and everyone else to be anything other than awesome! He has class, and a real gentleman is inside that deadman exterior facade that we see in ring, a true performer and gave his all. At least among my generation and doubtless many more, Taker will be remembered as one of, if not the greatest of all time, and i can say i bet he had a tremendously positive impact in the locker room in terms of setting a fine example to up and coming talent on how to conduct business correctly. I wish Taker, and indeed all my wrestling hero's that i did not name, a long and happy life with good health in retirement from the business. Your fans salute you! Thank you Taker.
Undertaker was probably the safest wrestler to work with in the industry for the entire duration of Undertaker being there. There's a reason why he & Kane have been the only ones to have been given the green light to do the Tombstone Piledriver.
I always felt bad for undertaker winning his first title and stone cold in 98. The way that Hogan and Shawn Michaels behaved and carried themselves while dropping the title and trying to steal Undertaker and Austin's moment was shameful.
@septv9995 in the long-run yes they were fine but in the short term yes I did feel bad for em because Hogan and Shawn both got their moments when they won the title and the person dropping it to em didn't bitch or make it hard for them so for them to make things hard for Undertaker and Steve was BS imo.
I've seen heard of a lot of these stories. Being able to get ppl real reactions is awesome. Taker is a scary dude lol but he a real one. Thx for giving us the other side of the coin after 30 years of heads. Finally nailed a tails :)
Hogan: "I want you to protect me when you give me the Tombstone. Just don't really protect me cause I want an excuse to ruin your career." And it took Taker like 6 years to win the championship again.
Some guys like Undertaker never needed the title to be over. Think of how many WWF champs they've had over the many decades that came nowhere close to Mark's level of over.
@@onewarriornation602 he didn’t put over guys he felt threatened by. Didn’t put over Shawn, Bret, or Sting. And as you can see, tried to get the new guy (taker) fired.

Hogan is such an ass. He really messed with kayfabe with his antics because it make things look fake when he no sells while everyone else is selling properly.
This Video is GOLD. Hulk Hogan probably wanted The Undertaker to get Fired so he could be the number one guy in the company & Koko B Ware got THE REAL TOMBSTONE !!! I was laughing so hard about that I actually had tears running down my face. R.I.P Koko 🪦😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great lesson what taker said at 15:48 . When people show you who they are believe them the first time. Sometimes we have to keep going through the lesson in order to learn it.
To be fair, the plan was for Hogan/Flair at WM8 (or Hogan/Sid depending on who you believe), so I don’t think there was ever any intention for Taker to stay champ for long. And Tuesday in Texas was an experiment that had been in the works, so I actually believe that what happened would’ve happened regardless of Hogan’s fake injury.
I will agree there my own thoughts were by the time Flair came in Vince is thinking I have the two biggest names in wrestling over tye last 10 years Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair at the same time. So I could see let's get the belt off Hogan in a controversial way, then hold the belt up at the Rumble, Flair wins the Rumble and belt, is now the champ but here comes Hogan challenging for the belt. That's my thoughts but from what I understand they had a series of house shows in late 91 and early 92 that never did well ticket wise so that's why Vince pivoted to another match.
I’m not gonna lie, I’ve seen a few tombstones where it looked like the person literally got dropped on their head, but he manages to protect them so well most of the time, it just looks like it. Notable ones are like Triple H and Kane.
@@MR.__G Agreed, but to be fair, Hulk had no knees at that point, so there's no way in hell he could jump high enough for a good choke slam at that age.

It’s fine with me if you’re talking about the Koko B. Ware part. It was so funny the interruption was just. That Tombstone was devastating but Taker’s reaction to Koko stepping up is hilarious.
Koko was using the ghostbuster/birdbuster/brainbuster which was more dangerous than the tombstone and he never hurt anybody, so that's probably why he gave undertaker the shit that he did.
Hogan did A LOT to make the business what it is today. But at the same time he was such a bad person behind the scenes. With his whining and trying to bury others so he could stay on top. I have tons of respect for the man for what he did for the business but have barely any for who he is as a person. If that makes sense. lol. Taker on the other hand. Hogan claims it was the jolt. Taker cradles Hogans head way high between his thighs, maybe held him too right. Hogan stayed down a long time was helped out of the ring by WWE personnel.

Koko B Ware used to be 6'6"!
That tombstone he took from taker dropped him a couple inches
I met him a couple weeks ago and I'm 6'4' and he was a good 10 inches shorter than me
Even Taker was 6'7 in his prime but he will say 6'8.
Cant be 6'8 cause Kane said he was ABOUT 6'8 and Sid said he was 6'6.¼
@@zachary_attackeryBruh i am almost the same height as you,how do you know what 10 inches shorter looks like
@@newhybrid101Pretty sure Mark knows his own height. His basketball stats had him at 6'8.
I always felt bad for undertaker winning his first title and stone cold in 98. The way that Hogan and Shawn Michaels behaved and carried themselves while dropping the title and trying to steal Undertaker and Austin's moment was shameful.
You felt bad for them? I think they both ended up alright...
Yall ever see HBK piledrive Taker on the steel steps in matches from 97-98? Thats the most impactful traditional piledriver.
Some of the ones during the first taker/kane match looked brutal
That pile driver on the steps was insane.
Hogan: "I want you to protect me when you give me the Tombstone. Just don't really protect me cause I want an excuse to ruin your career."
And it took Taker like 6 years to win the championship again.
Some guys like Undertaker never needed the title to be over. Think of how many WWF champs they've had over the many decades that came nowhere close to Mark's level of over.
Imagine how many ppl Hogan screwed
Put Undertaker over in the ring, backstage and in interviews for over three decades but sure, he was trying to "ruin his career." 🙄
@@IshbikesPut over more guys than any other top guy not named Flair, but okay.
@@onewarriornation602 he didn’t put over guys he felt threatened by. Didn’t put over Shawn, Bret, or Sting. And as you can see, tried to get the new guy (taker) fired.
Is one of the interviewers on drugs? He speaks like an engine sputtering on its last teaspoon of gas.
No. He just ate a can of BEANS
Drank a cup of mushrooms
The one in red is a comedian
@@chapingaryjr Well he is about as funny as he is sufferable to listen to, so there's that.
"Ohh brother"!!! 🤣🤣🤣i needed that laugh
Tbf, Koko taking that tombstone and finishing the match, then confronting Taker? More than just a tough dude.
The stupid thing about Hogan's antics is that just a couple minutes before the chair spot, he took another tombstone that he no-sold and started his "Hulk-Up" routine.
"You got me brother"
I love hearing stories like this - brings me back to the good old days of wrestling.
It always amazes me Hogan worried about the Tombstone that finished him as opposed to the one he no sold 🤦♂️
Koko looked crunched up like a pretzel on that drop. 😂
😂😂😂
Like a koko krispy doughnut
What I would give to sit there and hear these stories from The Undertaker himself. My all time favorite. I would just be in awe.
Since discovering this clip a week ago I think I've seen it like 10 times and it gets funnier everytime 😂
Taker had a podcast?!?!? Dang just finding out! SUBSCRIBED!
I see why Tony cringed after watching the Tombstone to Koko... It looks GNARLY from that perspective. 😂😂
It took everything in me not to laugh at this while listening during my haircut! “You got me brother” almost got my line-up crooked lol
Fr 🤣🤣🤣
I’m not gonna lie, I’ve seen a few tombstones where it looked like the person literally got dropped on their head, but he manages to protect them so well most of the time, it just looks like it. Notable ones are like Triple H and Kane.
Imagine The Taker being ur pops and givin ya a bump during saturday mornin wrasslin!😂😂😂! Great stuff.
It must have been a silent sweet revenge for Taker when Hogan dropped the wwe title to him at the Judgement Day 2002 ppv.
F'ed him over there with that chokeslam too.
And hogan made that chokeslam look like absolute crap lol
@@MR.__G
Agreed, but to be fair, Hulk had no knees at that point, so there's no way in hell he could jump high enough for a good choke slam at that age.
Hogan doesn't sell. "That won't work for me, brother.😂"@MR.__G
Yeah, but he had to use a chair and cheat to beat him.
That was a fun interview!
God the amount of times they interrupted Taker is so annoying
Thank you
Taker literally changed the format of the podcast so he could shoot the shit with his friends. He barely stopped laughing the whole time 😂
Taker and the Tony have been friendly for the last 2 decades, since Patrice started writing for wwe.
It’s fine with me if you’re talking about the Koko B. Ware part. It was so funny the interruption was just. That Tombstone was devastating but Taker’s reaction to Koko stepping up is hilarious.
Stop bitching....goodness
Right ! Let the legend speak sheeeett
That Koko tombstone does look absolutely horrifying.
Hogan was worried Taker was going to take his top spot
He was
And he did.
Hogan spot was taken in 90 when warrior won at mania and also stole savage spotlight in 88
What Hogan done was a Shifty dirty trick that the old school wrestlers did sabotage the new and upcoming Stars to bury them.
Undertaker is so great to listen to. So entertaining and well-spoken.
The Rock told Taker I'll Slap Dead Off You and Give It Right Back to You 😂😂 Taker takes his headphone off 😂
You forgot when taker was mid sentence and rock said shut your mouth
@@Heller103085 yeah he talked too slow to keep up with Rock 😂
Koko was using the ghostbuster/birdbuster/brainbuster which was more dangerous than the tombstone and he never hurt anybody, so that's probably why he gave undertaker the shit that he did.
Man...KoKos Ghostbuster was EVIL...
Well...there was that ONE guy KoKo dogwalked
@@juanspears5567 I remember when i first saw it, there was no wrestling move that I wanted to try out more than that ghostbuster 🤣🤣🤣
@@juanspears5567 Whooooo??? LOLOL
taker after watching it back going " Oh " got me 😂
I’m so happy for Tony, he’s literally living his dream
Who knew a standing 69 position brainbuster would be an odea for a finisher for such a badass. I'd expect Goldust to get that finisher
😂😂😂
Ive heard taker tell this story multiple times but it always cracks me tf up lol
In my opinion is the absolute greatest of all time. He was on top his entire career, yet never tried to bury anyone. Always tried to do what’s best for business, and will always have my respect and the respect of millions. Thank you Taker for all the great memories and moments
Hogan is a LEGEND... people are jealous
The ability to hear these stories then go back and watch the full matches... 🎉❤
I immediately went to Peacock to see it. Hogan's head was like a foot away from ever touching that chair.
Hogan claims it was the jolt. Taker cradles Hogans head way high between his thighs, maybe held him too right. Hogan stayed down a long time was helped out of the ring by WWE personnel.
I've heard Taker tell this story many times and I never tire of it.
Autobiography when, Taker? Im gonna keep plugging this one 🤞
Unpopular take: With Hogan already having neck problems… then him being upside down, dropping and suddenly stopping…maybe it could have strained or jarred his neck? I’d like to hear from some doctors on this.
Well he won the belt back 3 days later. It’s not that difficult to figure out.
Please talk about Suburban commando
Omg! That would be epic if we could hear him talk about that, as well as his Poltergeist appearance. He has never spoken on that before. I wish creative interviewers like you and I were up there
This legendary word is priceless
And taker said back in one of the podcasts during corona lockdown “ uhhh you got me brother “ .
Paulie Walnuts would be proud at the 3:20 mark 😅
Koko's finishing move was by faaar the most insane. Suplex piledriver 💀
"Koko B Ware used to be 6ft 6" hahaha
“I went back and rewatched it…and I was like Ooooooo.” 😂😂😂
4:33 LMFAO😂
