Well in terms of camera, you can just use a a “camera pointer” as for the character, you’ll have to create at least 8 different poses (each facing a different direction) and a few more when walking towards every point, each pose activates by moving the joystick in that direction (for example, moving right up its the output of the sum “up + right“(use AND gate)). That’s quite something to start with 😁
@@duchatnot you make something in Dreams you gotta pretty much build your game engine with the logic system and build your graphics from scratch. It's too much sometimes but I do appreciate the fact that it's possible.
@@handsomeDRAC So is it easier to learn how to code? I want to make a small game but nothing serious. Picked up dreams like a year ago for 10 euros in my local tech store never really played it.
@FBI Guy once you get the hang of how to create things, it's quite good and easy to pick up and learn how to make stuff as well as logic systems. Plus, the community has pre-made stuff and assets, templates music, sfx or anyone to use.
@@fbiguy5269 It might be a good idea to start in something like Game Builder Garage, which has similarities to Dream with its node based system. Then work your way up to Dreams when you get a basic understanding of how visual modular programming works.
Amazing!! Really love this! How would this work with games with a topdown view like TLOZ A Link to the Past? Can you change the sprite depending on the walking direction (or left stick direction) of the character?
In that case, there’s considerable difference, it’s way more complex as you need to create 8 different poses (looking in every direction) for everything (Idle, attack, etc) but I think that’s a cool idea for another tutorial, wait for it ❤️
Ive always wanted to develop games but I’m not super great at it and I don’t have a lot of free time. I literally come up with 100 ideas a minute but I don’t do anything with them kind of a waste. I have free ideas for a game creators. Lemme know.
oh my god this is amazing,im new on dreams..cant undesrtand a lot of things and the menu yet..i will try this lol..that part of logic i have to watch very slowly to understand how works lol ..can you show how to a mario64 caracter?
Thanks a lot buddy, of course I’m already planning some of my upcoming tutorials (I’ve been completely inactive for two months) but I’ll be back really soon, I promise 🙂
I think that’s because you didn’t place all the cubes within the same sculpture, I mean each pose it’s a single sculpture not a bunch of cubes forming that pose
Got any request?
Let me know in this section! ❤️🔥
(We reached 500 subs! Thanks a lot guys!! 🎉)
How do I even GET Dreams ps4!
What if I wanted to make Streets of Rage 2 or even Symphony of the night
Same logic but adding attack, jump, weapon animations will be a real grinding tho
How could I make a Top-Down rpg with pixels?

Looks like way more work than it needs to be. Dreams should just have a template for you to work off of.
Ik man! Dreams it’s so complicated for most ppl, that’s why there isn’t a big/active community at all, pisses me off! 🙃

My character dont connect with puppet and just float (or fall) in his area. Can u help me?
man this is so cool!
Although I lost in the logic section because I stil didn't approach logic in Dreams, but this is incredible stuff!
Keep it up!
Thanks brother ❤️
Tried to explain the logic clearly and step by step but it’s always a challenge 🙃
I’ll do better next time 😄
@@duchatnot you did great, it's Just my fault because I know nothing about Logic xD

Great tutorial - thx for that! How much is the gameplay thermo of this puppet?
Thanks bro ❤️
It’s barely 1% for gameplay and 1% for each sculpture (5% in total) 😄
Thank you.
Thanks to you Isaque! ❤️
Is it possible to have a single screen game like pacman where if you go off one side of the screen you come back on the other side of the screen?
I wish you went into detail with the coloring pallet, im 100% new
Well coloring it’s not that hard, you can basically use any colors you want, just make sure they look cool together 😆

Is this software a paid or free software also where does one get it?
good tutorial! what is the name of the game? (the published one)
It’s not a game, created this scene to record this tutorial and that’s it 🙂
@@duchatnot I know but, you said that it was published and that it is remixable, what is the name of your profile or your "game" so I can see?
Oh you mean the character by itself, my psn it’s “crimeinpartner” and this it’s called “8 bit super Mario” or something like that, hope you like it 😄
@@duchatnot ok, thx!
What should I do, my gameplay memory goes up to 32% from one character
I think that’s because you didn’t place all the cubes within the same sculpture, I mean each pose it’s a single sculpture not a bunch of cubes forming that pose
And you said making the poses was the harder step 😵😵😔
Where the fuck is puppet logic bruh
