Ah, cool... I discovered this also, while working on a project for someone. I did it slightly differently though which is a tad cheaper. Instead of a ton of flecks, I used 2 flecks--one for the start one for the end. Works exactly the same but only has 2 iterations going at once. Then I turned on duplicates :D Cool thing about duplicates is, you can easily make the flecks appear along a line if you want to--eg. the ege of the sword. ;p Right now, the jet trail is going all the time, which isn't ideal. I would turn off the paint, and turn it on with the keyframe--has the same effect as animating opacity, but while the trail isn't shown it's not powered so it'll use no processing power.
@@AecertGaming it followed the first fleck but very slow, I don't know how to explane it differently (also tried to set the animationspeed to maximum but still didn't look good

I was wondering how this was done, I feel like a sword trail effect makes attack animations look so much better.
I would have never thought of that. Really easy to implement and the result looks great!
Thanks a bunch for the video :D
Ikr! You are very welcome :)
This is simple AF! U got my vote 🗳(hint hint)!
Awesome technique, really helps finish off my attack animations
I'm making an action cartoony style game and it's really helped thank you
Wow... a great addition for my game AND it's super simple ahahaha
Sweet! I was going to look that up eventually. Saved me the time bro!
This is awesome man! I was stumped on making smooth trails for so long now. I'm gonna use this great technique for sure!
I NEEEEEED THIS
Thanks dude you are lifesaver! Been looking for it
So glad you found it :)
Just what I was looking for
Thank you so much!!
thanks you!!
Thank you so much
Cool vid man!
ITS OVER 9000
:D
Yes
Thank you Aecert
And it's a simple solution too
2 blank keyframes? What a waste. Why not use the blend of the one keyframe? Other than that cool trick, didn't know that yet. Thanks
Crappp that's a good point
noice
Epic : D
I've been trying similar methods to get the effect of a lightsaber swing but never was able to achieve it. Do you have any ideas?
Do exactly what i do in this tutorial, but use one of the longer flecks and scale it up to be the length of the lightsaber
@@AecertGaming I tried but it didn't work out as intended
@@kluthausen9878 What happened?
@@AecertGaming it followed the first fleck but very slow, I don't know how to explane it differently (also tried to set the animationspeed to maximum but still didn't look good
@@kluthausen9878 hmmm. Make sure you do exactly what i do in the tutorial. There is a bunch of stuff that could've gone wrong
Can you use this for people trials?
If you need any sort of trail at all, you can use this!
