Thanks Jaxon! Check out round 49. You need to know when to go up and when to go down. For the NES version tap A and B buttons for fastest pump action. For the arcade you actually have to hold forward while pumping to pump faster. A dangerous tactic considering it moves you closer to the enemy. You may know this already but I just wanted to even out the playing field for others as well.
In 1986 I got to round 103, breaking the world record score with over 1,300,000+ points, as a 10 year old kid. However on the machine I played when I reached Round 100 there was no flower at the top and it said "Round 0". I remember this very distinctly. Not saying you did anything wrong, quite the contrary. Great playing! I played very differently and actually learned a few things watching you play. Any idea about the flower and round 0? Really curious
I think that the kill screen is Round 255, just like in the Pac-Man series at that time, SoundwaveRecorder. Also, although 10 year old you was pretty good at that game, you still needed a bit more training to get to that kill screen level...only then could you consider yourself a true master of the game.

the game is eternal i reached 2m cause in late levels its just about to make one pattern thats allows you to kill 2-3 guys soon and the others eventually fall down if they arent very close (4-5 guys). This games drops lifes every 40k or so points so that means every 5 pinneapples you get a new chance to lose. I lost my interest cause the record must be broken but in certain quantity of levels, otherwise its useless and everybody can have a 2m score easily. Take care!

You were probably playing the arcade version. I also got to round zero.
