Omg i saw this on my recommendations tab so many times but only now did i realize it was made by you! The dream has come true, a tutorial from an ice climber god 😭
Only 1 God, the one who made you and me and everything else ✝️❤️
@@kjmario yes the ice climber god ❤
this video helped me perform my best ice climber desync and combo ever with it, thank you so much. I squal hammered with nana then up A (or whatever it is called)with popo, then I squal hammer again with both of them in sync into another up A. It worked really well so thanks
I feel like I wouldve appreciated some more discussion in each section, like how each move is used commonly, the definition and common usage of desyncs before listing out the different methods to cause a desync, general gameplan and the nature of the character early in the video, etc. This is useful, but comes off more as a list than a tutorial.
THIS is what I needed. Always had an impossible time finding out how to do desyncs for the longest time. Always heard people talkin about it. Now I know how to actually *do* them. Thanks for this tutorial. 👍
Thank you for sharing your knowledge :)
Thanks 😊 this is really well made.
This is amazing, thank you so much. I never understood how landing aerials de synced the climbers.
this is awesome
Desynching was always so nebulous; maybe this will help me do it!
I've decided to try to learn icies as a friendlies flex. Glad to see I had good timing for the Twitter clip master to build a guide set!
I'm excited to see your next videos from this series, imjust now getting in to ice climbers, and the way you break it down is really helpful, thanks!
Nice video! waiting for the next tutorial...
Schweetness! Preciate the tutorial! There's one thing that should be mention but it's a really tiny detail.
Ice Block can be hit back by opponents BUT if you strike the incoming ice blocks; they'll shoot back at your opponent and deal dmg
TYSM I RLLY NEEDED ITT
YOOOOO THIS IS SO GOOOD!!!
So excited for the good stuff. Been playing ics since release but the things you pull off are crazy and theres several desyncs i struggle with. You did such a great job explaining!
Well made reflection
“Nana’s AI & programming “
I can relate! Just the other night my Nana got cheese after landing because she couldn’t tech a landing either. (Flat stage)
Thanks
I don’t think Soymilk works anymore.
Which is weird considering this was only a month ago.
I couldn’t replicate it in training
Edit:
Nvm I just did it.
The window is really tight.
A way to make soymilk easier is to "Ease off the breaks" as I like to put it. As you are running just kinda move your stick to the opposite direction you're running in, never taking your finger off of the stick, and then input your attacks. Go from holding forward to neutral to holding backwards and at the same time inputting your tilt.
As an up and coming icies main, who's using them for tourneys, thank you so much!
Nice video, you think you'd be able to make a guide on how to do cheerless grab desyncs like CCJ or even Murastar? I mainly have trouble doing a cheerless grab when i grab out of fox trotting, I land it 5/10 times 😩
BASED
I DID IT!!!!
Nana is bae
The term "Popoforce." Is so fucking cute
Dude no one could explain soy milk to where I could understand it. At first I didn't understand why you'd do an explanation thing but holy moly for a character like this its greatly appreciated
I think I figured it out by watching but can I ask your controller layout? I'm trying to learn Icys for ghits and shiggles and i am struggling a bit with the soymilk one. I like my jump on L and another shield on Y, tilt stick with high sens (just what im used to, didn't realize i was using it). Its making the up tilt easier, but I'm wondering if the stick sensitivity would mess with the frame data for nana like it does for Smash attacks allowing them to input in a shorter time due to less sensitivity on the stick to register the input. I'm also struggling with accidentally dash attacking instead of running into a forward tilt (its killing my Richter play too) so your video made me wonder since I was unaware of the 6 frame difference and always struggled with desyncing.
I miss old ICs but at least they got a buffed uair and dspecial
Hi, I feel like soy just happens for me consistently without having to set stick to neutral? I just run and then pull it to the other side, utilt. Could it be a GC controller thing? I wont complain though, just wondering.
Well, you just need to exit the run state by making them skid
When trying soymilk I accidentally made nana move with popo nothing, is this discovered or useful?
I think the input was turnaround and so far I did nana ice block popo nothing and nana fsmash popo nothing
Hey Reflection, I don’t know if your going to see this but is using a GameCube controller better than a switch pro controller? I’m still new and am trying to become an Ice Climbers main.
It's really all preference. I use a unique pro controller with more buttons than needed
@ReflectionIC OK, thanks!
What's your control scheme? Would help to understand the input viewer
Pro controller, most are default but L is Jump and I use tilt stick
@@ReflectionIC Cool, thanks!
1:46 me who uses the nana alts:
I'm trying my best but can't replicate the first one :/ even with first desync I'm inputting short hop up air, then up air, then directly after down b, and they just do it at the same time, any advice? Really like playing this character even without knowing desyncs but now am trying to learn
It could be that the first or the second up air are not being done asap. You need to do an immediate short hop upair and buffer another one. If done too slow, they will be stull synced
@Reflection okay I'll try that here in a little bit, thank you!
@@ReflectionIC I got the first one down! Thanks for the help! Haven't been able to do soy milk yet bit I know the timing is harder on that on
@@Nam-db4rm good job! Gl with the rest!
@Reflection the first "nut combo" I am able to consistently get one to roll, and the other to forward tilt, but when I squall they both do it, am I doing something wrong? Sorry for so many questions!
Wait what happened to the new video you just uploaded???
Removed it since some audio was a little too loud
Why is the last combo called nut combo????
well, that is literally the name of it. i didnt name it so idk the history of it
Soymilk is really weird. I’ve only been able to replicate it once.
Every time I enter the skid anim, nana just does it with me.
She doesn’t dash or anything.
it sounds like you either are setting the stick to neutral too long or it could be you arent setting it to neutral at all
@@ReflectionIC I didn’t have it in neutral long enough.
I can now manage to do it periodically.
Now I gotta do it consistently.
Thx.
@@TimelostGamer np and good luck!
what's a bungus boost?
A tech that makes Popo fly at high speeds running off ledge. Check out "OMG I DID ITTTTTTT" on my channel to see it in action
@@ReflectionIC oh you mean super sopo
7:30 Acktchually its proper name is Skid Turn, 0/10.
(Nice stuff Reflection)
Que pena que no haya subtitulos, pero bueno, igual ningún latino se atrevería a probar a los Ice climbers
Bro screw ice climbers I ain’t doing all this 😭🙏
they deadass want us to study like it's an exam😭?
