- Just over a month in of owning the Lexus it's time for a review & update on the things I've learnt. Also some footage of a day out go karting.

whattt i got the same car as you back in august 2022, a 2017 is200t f sport as well and my mirrors dont fold automatically, how did you get them to fold?
From memory there is a button on the drivers door to switch on the auto fold.

In the 3 years I owned it absolutely no issues. I've moved to a different style of car now.

Hi. Im considering getting the same exact model and year. Hows your overall experience so far? Any quality or mechanical issues with the IS?
So far really good. Owned it for 15 months & no issues at all.
The only thing I don't like is no Android auto or Apple carplay. Otherwise it's great, fun to drive, super comfortable & looks good. It's easy to work on too, I've put new springs in to make it lower & changed the front pads & rotors which were due.

How’d you get the mirrors to fold like that
You can set them to auto fold in & out when the car is locked or unlocked by clicking on the "auto" button which is just about the buttons used to adjust your mirrors.
does the window thing work on the 2016? Mine doesnt do that
Not sure about the 2016. Do you have the owners manual? It might have it in there.
unfortunately it doesn't, its because it doesnt have power fold, you have to manually fold the mirrors in. I also have a 2016 and it sucks that it has power mirrors but you cant set them to auto drop down on reverse. Seems like it would be so easy to program, but they dont have the ability.

@@Sounditoutahhwet I completely agree, theres definitely things that are seriously lacking in the IS. Infotainment is garbage and the fact that a 2016 luxury car doesnt have carplay is frustrating. Theres little nuances like not having drop down side views, memory seats, etc. However, I think the real let down is the performance, the is300 delivers only 250hp and even with the performance mods I am most likely only pushing about 300.
where did you get that card key i dint get one ?
Just came with the car. I bought it second hand but I'm assuming the first owner got it from the dealer.
@@greenaddictiongarage3236 nice i was trying to roll windows down and up with the unlock and close button but i get no response could this be a option you pay for? i know my 2002 lexus es back then had it but nowadays it seems lexus is cheaper on their cars and make you pay for everything

Correct. 2l turbo that runs about 17psi of boost to make 180kw & 350nm.
