why do I like this review? Its super simple language, nothing geeky (no talk of naturally aspirated dual 3.5l double wishbone blah blah). straight simple, not talking over your audience. Most reviewers forget their audience are very normal/average day to day buyers and users. Thanks @HowToCarGuy

Thanks for this. I just bought a 2017 IS 200T F-Sport for my wife and have been reading through the owner's and quick-start manuals to learn the vehicle so I can teach it to her in turn. I think I'll just point her to your video for starters.

which year was the info-tainment system switched from the touchpad to the dial/scroll option?
Do the safety features have to be turned on (is there a button)? Programmed? I think I’ve gotten close to a car and my car didn’t “slow down/brake”. Is there a way to raise the volume when it comes to the blind spot sensors? I hear a slight faint vibration. I wish it were louder or has noise. Also, is there supposed to be an some type of “warning” noise the headlights make when the car is turned off but your headlights are still turned on? Btw, I own the 2017 IS 200t F sport

Hey Brock have a question for ya. I just bought a used 2017 Lexus IS 200t from Nevada. The daytime running lights on mine are red. And when I asked autonation, who sold me the car, they said that those came standard and part of some sports package Lexus had. Since you know so much about Lexus, is this true ? Or they must be aftermarket ?

At 35:19..I cannot view the weather. The screen displays “HD signal is not available for this service. Please try again later” WHY?! What do I do? How do I get an HD signal???
Change the oil every 5000 miles. Don't wait for 10000 miles intervals if you want that sweet engine to last longer.

The infotainment system is honestly so outdated for a 2017 model. Everything else about this car is just so luxurious and sporty especially for the F-Sport package.
how come my is 200t 2017 fsport only gets 336 miles after filling up full tank ? and yours says 396 ?
Just wonder when is Lexus going to replace that long outdated foot pedal parking brake with the electronic parking brake together with auto hold feature befitting of a premium luxury and high tech car?

Wonder when Lexus would replace the long outdated foot pedal type parking brake with the latest electronic type with auto hold as well. The foot pedal type parking brake is so outdated it should not be used in a high premium luxury car like Lexus.

Nice car, but that infotainment system just seems really outdated
All is great until you get to the alleged “leather seats” which turns out they are NOT leather but are vinyl instead. Lexus calls these plastic seats “Nuluxe Synthetic Leather”. They sure fooled me! These seats are trash 👎🏼

40k plus car and U.S variant still does not get auto fold mirrors after how many generations of this model yet CA, EU, and ME countries get it. The Germans never do this cost cutting on luxury features for U.S buyers. Getting a Bimmer or Audi.
They put the auto mirror feature here on the states on their grandma and grandpa models ES and LS, as if younger IS buyers need manual mirrors total joke
