    What a sweet ride she's made to run in the wind and looking good!

    Had to smile when you said “we don’t care,we don’t bloody care” which is a typical British saying 😀😀
    Anyway love the videos and your conversation while you truck along. I had some great experiences driving American trucks in Iraq and for me was a great introduction in comparing US and European trucks (I’m an Englishman) and must say I enjoyed driving the up armoured International and Freightliner also the military M915 tractor truck (AM General). It didn’t take me long to get used to driving with the steering wheel on the wrong side 😁😁
    Thanks again and safe trucking Sir from England 🤘🏻✌🏻🤙🏻

    Great video and conversation on the set up of your beautiful machine. As for my self being from the east.. The 75 mph is faster than I would cruise, and makes a huge difference on the fuel milage...especially with my C-15 600 hp . Additionally you are right on with those FED EX doubles.. the second trailer also seems to get sucked closer to my Motorcoach than I feel comfortable with. Safe travels sir

    355's with a double over 18. would of been nice the last hole against the dash . If I remember it drops the Rom 250 just like the old brownies. Gives you the going home gear .motor safe Love your videos

    On the gearing, change out the rear tire size. You should be able to get it close to 3.55 by just changing dia of the tires. Used to run that stretch about every week. Unless it was bad weather in the winter time. Then we ran I-40 to Kingman and headed north there to OR.

    Life is good that is awesome boy that engine pulls that fine truck down the road. 75 miles per hour she sounds like she's just loping along not under any strain whatsoever. Peterbilt Steve looks like he knows how to put them together and spec them right. Watch out for the FedEx trucks riding the white line next to your door. Great video I'll talk to you later.

    My uncle's Peterbilt 357 with an ISX15 has a bit of a stutter or rattle in the higher RPM's as well. I figured maybe it was an exhaust leak or a sticking injector as it has 320,000 miles on it, but maybe it's a more common problem than I thought.

  • @Fullnoise
    @Fullnoise 6 лет назад +1

    Great clip. Just thinking about the vibration. If it's only happening under load, it may be an idea to check the nut on the gearbox yolk. These have a tendency to come a little loose and one of the things that happen is you may get some flickering of the speedo needle and a slight vibration. I'd also be checking around the center bearing and all universal joints. Hopefully it will only be something little but I know how frustrating and annoying a vibration can be.
    Travel safe and I look forward to your next clip.
    Cheers,
    Dan

    It could be valve gear ticking away as it leans out all thow that was the bosses idear of getting a 580 v8 scania to be a 700 buy having it computer boost modifyed Bad idear. broken rocker arm later!. Like ya said you will know when it breaks as it sounds like some ones thrown a rock in a concrete mixer..
    Had a cumins ISX 512 that would bang away under full load never had a problem with it.
    Cold'nt really hear what the noise sounded like from he video. what do other ppl think?

      Sam O I don’t run 76mph my cruise speed is 67 mph and I’m on the east coast, can’t run 76 mph over here, traffic and speed limits dictate what you can do. And you live in a 55 mph state so 336 is a little tall I think 🤔

    I am not telling you what to do brother, but when my.last Cummins would stutter like that I would need to.drain.the fuel water separater and she would stop that, might also check the ujoints, you know as i.do anything man made will break 2 miles down.the road or 200,000 miles down the road, be safe and I hope to in.march have my new Pete from Steve and going to.hope to.put it on with landstar reefer side

      Life is Good. I didn't know if they had it still or not, I check several years ago and knew they had good rates back then, I live down in Dalton GA , so I shouldn't have too many issues getting carpet out from there going places , I know they have a better tract record of getting out of hard places , I am like you I can go out make money , no wife and younguns to.worry with, I also want to thank you for sharing your experiences with.your new truck and what to expect and what not to, only question I do have is this, would you.had got the 605hp motor or would you have stayed with.the 565? I am going with the disc brakes on my trailer after you.told me you wished your trailer had them too

    • @LifeisGood2018
      @LifeisGood2018  6 лет назад +4

      Jack Caldwell Hp doesn't matter that much, 4K for 40 hp is nuts! 2050 torque is where it's at!
      I'm up the road from you, don't see any carpet loads out of Dalton, it must be cheap freight, but there is a ton of $3 freight in your area, this area is always booming, you make the jump and I promise you will be happy.

    little surprised, you hit that little upgrade at 75 mph and still lost 300 rpm and some speed, I guess 2050 torque is the new 1650, as far as Cummins is concerned, you might be right, 3.36 too high for that motor

They will be able to prove you speed and they would run you threw the mill. Shit happens. You could be involved in a fatal accident because some idiot pulled out in front of you. Don't give anyone amo against you. I know what i'm talkin about. You don't want to get sued. It could put you out of biz or worse.
