If you have a cart bag and you want to use a push cart, just swap the club positions so that the putter and irons and in the back and the woods are in the front. That way, when you put it on a push cart and lean it, the clubs will fall in the same fashion as the stand bag set up.
What do you do when you use your stand bag on the back of a powered car. Keeping the woods and Driver at the top pocket really blocks our access to the rest of your bag
This is helpful. I started using a cart bag last year, but have pulled out my old Jones carry bag again this season as I intend to use a pushcart most rounds.
Appreciate the video. I myself have a stand bag and always had trouble in deciding where to put my Putter because of NO Headcover? For the longest time I would put it with the 7 iron. Video really cleared everything up for me.
My question is if you have a push cart why would you ever want to carry a bag?I have a cart bag and have my woods on the top and irons on the bottom when both riding in cart and pushing cart. It’s a no brainer for me.
I use a stand bag because when I practice I typically will not bring my push cart to a range session. If I used a cart bag, it would fall over or need to be laid down and it can be annoying.
Some courses are walk only. Or some tournaments are walk only. I think for my highschool season, we had 3 walk only courses, because the course pros saw the day as a way to take it easy on the grass and just have players walk. I personally like to walk in the spring and fall, because it allows me to think about my game. In the summer I’ll take a push cart to tournaments so I can attach an umbrella to the cart and stay cool. It’s just personal preference or it’s walk only at courses.
When your a senior golfer as I am then cart bag & trolley is a necessary part of the day out - not so much a golf cart but for sure electric trolley (motocaddy)
I would agree for the most part however I have a cart bag and I use a push cart. My setup is like your own set. I find they fit in better that way and have the same purpose as a stand bag.
Awesome video. After many years of using a dedicated cart bag (latest one was the Titleist Cart 15) I went to the Titleist Hybrid 5 because I’m now using oversize grips and they don’t work well with that Cart 15 bag w 15 individual slots. The grips would get stuck both going in and out. Even though I’ll be riding in a cart, I’m setting up the bag the way it supposed to be in a stand/carry bag. The Hybrid 5 w full length dividers have large openings and I have no issues with my oversize grips.
Think I’m going back to carry/stand bag. Would a 14-way divider bag reduce all clunking around between the clubs while walking with backpack setup? Just don’t want to get new clubs and have them bashing at each other with every stride just because I wanted some more freedom and exercise. Don’t think I’m an iron head cover guy but if a new iron gets chipped 3 weeks in, I’m gonna be pretty upset at myself lol.
I just bought a 14 way bag. I have the same OCD as you with my new items I just bought lol. I laid a golf towel across the clubs and that helps them clanking into each other
I have a question. I’m new to Golf and just bought a golf set. I have my Set up exactly the same as your stand bag However, I’ve noticed some slight scratches on the back of my irons Probably because of them bumping into each other. Is this normal?
@@joshkelleygolf: I have covers on all my clubs, of every set I have, and use...It takes 5 seconds total to take off and put the covers back on, so less than 30 seconds a hole (Depending on the hole...Par 3, 4 or 5), less than 9 minutes per round. I spend more time cleaning the clubs after every shot, and after each round, then I do taking off and putting club covers back on.
Common sense isn’t very common, especially if you’ve no experience/point of reference on a subject. I’ve just bought my first set of clubs so I specifically came looking for this info and found this video very useful 👍🏻
Only thing I can say is that when I saw how the bag was setup on the legs I already knew how the advantage would be to have the longest clubs setup like that but really what I was looking for was if they were in the bag sorted by the type like woods over here 345 over here and so on but I guess it may differ depending on what clubs a person decides to carry and use by preferences.

Ive pushed a cart and carried my bag and didn't find much difference in calories burned or muscle soreness they both suck equally lol

For a hybrid bag, would you go with the stand bag layout?

I knew I wasn’t paranoid! Anything to reduce club/shaft impact ⛳️🍻👍🏻
Josh….where did you get the Callaway driver headcover in the stand bag?
Thanks Josh for the simple and logical bag setup, definitely how to do it right.
Btw I like your bag, what brand is it?
Looks like a Ping Pioneer. A friend of mine just got one. It's beautiful and super high quality and I'm definitely jealous.
its an Ogio fuse 4

Perfect now I don’t look so lost with my top flite bag lol
So are you guys putting your head covers back on your woods everytime on the cart ?
Yes
Which way does the stand bag go in the cart?
Is there a specific way for left handed players to setup their bag compared to your method?
Forgive my ignorance but can you put a stand bag in the cart?
Yes stand bags can fit on both push carts and power carts

Thanks. May I ask what is the brand of your shoes. I like the color.
Very helpful, thanks!
Where do you keep the putter head cover when you are using the putter?
On the ground or on the bag
what kind of carry bag do you have
Do I need tubes if I have a 4 pocket bag ?
I have a cart bag I've been using with my push cart for 15yrs no issue with damage that I've seen.
i been doin my carry bag like that for years thanks for letting me know i was right common sense eh
None of the stand bags I've seen or owned had enough separators in them
I have 1 of each bag.. the stand bag is in the closet cuz i use a push cart if i walk
Thanks for sharing!
What brand is that black carry bag?
2022 Ogio fuse 4
I definitely prefer a 14 club divider
cart bag mean pull cart too. not just riding. stand bags sit on pull carts crooked because of legs
What is that driver head over
I had to watch this because I couldn’t believe there was a video on it. Still don’t believe it.
What stand bag is that??
Cart bag and push cart bag are same
Makes sense 👏⛳️
I don’t even need a putter, I just make a hole in one every hole
The 8 y/o in me couldn't stop giggling over the verbiage, even tho the adult me looked this up specifically.
It's a good set up and good advice. But I have head covers for ALL of my clubs. So, kind of negates it
If you have club head covers for all your irons, you don't have to worry about damage to them or the other clubs!!!
Yeah but then you have iron overs lol

100% covers.

Call me crazy, but yet another example of why iron covers prevent damage to your clubs.

15 clubs? 🤔
There is actually no right or wrong way to get up a golf bag.
You just reverse the club configuration when you want to put it on a buggy dude.
Don’t scratch the clubs !
Literally, should have been made a 30 second video. Thanks though.
