    It’s what it’s needed. It’s going force the drivers to race hard to win it.
    The drivers have been saying it’s needed a change for for years.

    That is a really well thought out plan and should result in some very lively racing. Looking forward to it already. Well done to all involved👍

    Once again not listened to the drivers at all....the silver roof is a year long championship for the team that has put the effort into doing as many meetings as possible and achieved the most amount of points,not a football style tournament that knocks possibly the best drivers out if they have a mechanical in one round.
    This should be a championship of it's own with it's roof colour/scheme.With the ever rising costs and the style of racing this is going to create i can see that alot of teams are just not going to be able to afford to fix the repairs needed to keep for the amount of damage this is going to cause let alone the cars that are not in the championship that are going to get hammered out of the way because the top 16 HAVE to get to the front by any means necessary.
    They should try and look at the dirt racing in the states and take notes as they seem to be getting the teams paid and putting on a fantastic show for the fans every week.
    Streaming the race meetings brings in extra fans ( not only UK but worldwide ) and fans that are just struggling to financially to get there and pay the food prices ect... Get FLORACING or equivalent involved,find a way to widen the audience outside of the regular punters,money revenue per meeting,more money for the teams,more cash for action.

    The silver roof (or silver stripes as it used to be) should be season long going to the driver who scores the most national points.. like the old days. The shootout in theory is good and keeps the interest going until the end of the season, but in my opinion it should be completely separate from the National Points Championship and should be for a different roof colour reward entirely.

    Brilliant! Good effort for trying to be innovative and change things up a bit, because we need to keep moving forward to push & promote this wonderful sport of ours! I've been going to meetings since the age of 7 with my family and I'm 54 now and still love it! Let's hope this change puts more bums on seats.... people don't know what they are missing! #BriSCAF1 ❤

    To complicated.. you need more tracks.. better rules around tyres and shocks.

    This will benefit the wealthiest drivers who’s cars are still well maintained towards the end of the season and disadvantage the lesser. Where if you amass points early on while your car is fresh this gives you a chance if points are carried over.

    • @cars0n259
      @cars0n259 7 месяцев назад

      I’d argue a season long national points title will benefit the wealthiest drivers. Those that can afford to do every single meeting. The shootout means in theory someone doing 20 meetings in a season could win it.
      I totally get that the silver roof should go to the driver who scores the most over the season. I don’t really disagree with that. But for the majority of drivers, fans and certainly the promoters an end of season shootout is much better as a whole. Paul 259

    Also some really good drivers could go out early on as opposed to being able to catch up on points if it was a season long competition

    Brilliant idea. The tracks will have to play a big part by keeping the fans upto date after each race in the last round of each phase so they know who might be kissing who ( so to speak) but yes, brilliant idea. Simular idea to what some of us have been thinking. 100% behind this.

    Brisca has lost too many tracks..developers need to support and local Government

    The format that has been proposed sounds great, a 3 stage program to promote the top drivers in each group and demote the others that didn’t quite make it is a great idea. The incentive of extra start money will help a little so all is good. I would look forward to watching the rounds and seeing the level of intensity increase as the rounds decrease to win the championship. I’d be happy to support this and would consider being a round sponsor. Well done BSCDA 👍 a lot has gone in to the thinking and planning of this .

    Wow sounds like an over complicated plan that nobody will fully understand. I liked the old system where the silver roof went to the driver who scored the most points

    • @cars0n259
      @cars0n259 7 месяцев назад +1

      I think people will get it once it gets going. The issue with a season long championship has often been not particularly exciting and only open to a couple of drivers who can afford to do every meeting. The shootout offers the possibility of a more exciting end to the season.

    Go back to the old format, whoever was at the top of the points come November was national point champion and has been consistent all year deserves to wear that silver roof.
    The over complication of an Amateur sport never works.

    • @cars0n259

      I’d argue strongly the shootout has worked well for the past 14 years. It’s reinvigorated the end of the season and has allowed more drivers to compete for the silver roof. Shootout has certainly helped raise the profile of BriSCA F1

    I really hope there is a great community space for us as fans to get involved and talk about where things lie on the championship. Key to this is getting the information in a place to see the scores after every race. We can’t get to all the races and buy the programme to get the updates. We need something really accessible.

    Essentially, what BriSCA have done is to turn the National Points Championship and (what was…) the Daily Mirror Grand Prix into one championship, when the two were perfectly reasonable as championships on their own! Maybe it’s simply because BriSCA don’t have the answer as to why they’re seeing fewer and fewer people following stock car racing. The internet, shocking prices at tracks and the (largely…) ongoing apathy to the sport from the public at large…all of which BriSCA, or promoters and stadiums can do next to nothing about…are all factors. Sadly, there’s no amount of aerofoil colours, or championships lacking substantial financial rewards going to change that until BriSCA learn to adapt. Personally speaking, I think BriSCA Stock Car Racing is like The Beatles, the Sunday roast and a good old cuppa tea…a national treasure, sincerely unique and something we should cherish! Best of luck…believe it or not, I’m on your side! #8 for champ!

    top drivers do less meetings and get in top 16 then it saves them money and they qualify. no incentive to race more meetings. rugby league did a form of this and it just waters things down.

    • @cars0n259
      @cars0n259 7 месяцев назад

      The shootout hasn’t really impacted on the number of times a ‘top’ driver has raced. In fact the format has given more chance to more drivers to compete for the silver roof.

    Just go back to simple rules, like yester year…. Who wins the most become Silver Top… this idea is just making the top 15 (16) elite’s in the sport🤔 what happens if a low grader starts winning and goes up the grades and into the “ TOP” 15 (16) and vice versa a “TOP” 15 (16) hits bad form???? To much money in the job now, the average Joe driver is priced out, while the Elite 15 (16) mop up

    • @cars0n259
      @cars0n259 7 месяцев назад

      A season long points battle is the most elitist competition there is. Whoever can afford to do most meetings will most likely win. Opening up to 16 drivers allows many more drivers to be in contention without having to do every single meeting. 212, 217, 20 are prime examples.

    • @markh5433
      @markh5433 7 месяцев назад

      @@cars0n259 🤔 Every grade should be in with the shootout…! You creating a them and us within the drivers…. Elite 15/16 what about the other Mid Reds and Blues, watching 15 “Elite” drivers battle for the shootout is not as you put it “ put bums in seats” it’s all the other things around Stock cars, Admission prices, poor Facilities, rule changes that only seem to benefit the top men in the sport…..

    • @cars0n259
      @cars0n259 7 месяцев назад

      Every driver is in the shootout. Anyone can qualify at the start of the season. Stock cars has always had an elite element to it by the fact superstar drivers start at the back.

    sorry its to complicated points shud be from the first meeting to the last 1 of the season ,look at the late 70 and 80s smith snr with old man frank doing every meeting trying to get the gold paint out ,all this will do is make non shoot out meeting totaly pointless so there will be less cars there and at the shoot out will just go 2 the drivers with the biggest budget so if a engine goes thay will just swop a engine over , it shud be open to all drivers and maybe triple points to whites and yellows and double for blues
