Another great video there mate..... You sure know how to capture the right feel for a fishing session with your filmmaking. Well done on the barbel...... Great job.....👌 Keep up the good work..... All the very best....👍
Nice fish that mate, wonder what's had hold of his more likely an otter do you think, getting into winter now mate,I've decided to defiantly park meself up till about March, tite lines,
Hi, There has been a flurry of big barble the last couple of weeks which has been surprising as it's been at summer levels. I think your right with the end of the barbel fishing for this year but I do so love my pike fishing and have been waiting eagerly for single figures water temps to arrive. Thank you for your continued support, ite truly appreciated.
Nice to see someone playing a fish the skilled way and not using a clutch the same way I do thanks for taking the time to make the video. What is your second rod fishing with???
@@keithscott676 Hi Keith, with smaller hooks I tend to be a bit more cautious playing a barbel. I do prefer using the front drag but my nerves can't handle it with a smaller hook. The second rod is out for pike as I'm trying for the Wye Trinity (barbel, chub and pike). I had the first 2 in this session but surprisingly now show from old Esox.
Hi Mike, I apologies for that but there's a pheasant shoot on the estate and the removal of the shots is something that's beyond my capabilities. Sorry for wasting your time in watching but thank you for taking the time to comment.
Enjoyed that a lot and it conveyed very well why it is we go fishing.
Lovely sunrise to greet you as you walked to that wonderful spot on the river. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video 🍀👏👌

Another enjoyable and atmospheric video. Well done on catching that nice barbel in such cold conditions. A shame about the tail damage.
Fantastic job, love this, so well filmed, full of mood, wonderful work mate.

Well done. Seems the eye has fished a bit better of late, no doubt the cold spell this week will bring an end to it 🤦🏼♂️

I was thinking the same, glad its not only me, I've always played my fish this way
@tomstorey7267 it probably goes back to the old Mitchell 300 days when the clutch was capricious to say the least.
Silent, with gunshot going off all the way through?

Interesting cut in the tail. I know this was a practice by less enlightened fishermen on the continent to show they had captured a fish before.
@@crashnburnband Hi, I was unaware of that practice, I think the tail damage is from a predator. Thank you for your time watching and commenting.
Most likely an Otter, you see the odd barbel on the Wye with a portion of its tail fin gone
