I would very much have liked to see its case done and the watch like new. However, I also like the these are my scars I’m old look. Great job. Nice to see you leave in your misturns in rebuilding. I really appreciate it. Thank you.

Unfortunately you can easily cause more harm than good trying to polish those old plated cases. You can't refinish them like a solid stainless steel. Maybe one day I'll work out the means to fill the corrosion and electroplate. Thanks for watching and I really appreciate the comment!

You should have at least restored it's appearance somewhat. After all it is a watch and appearance matters. Who would wear this thing? Its ugly and dirty looking still. If this were my watch , I would be very disappointed with this finished product.

I think a lot of people would feel that way, and that’s understandable. But that’s not what was requested in this case at the time. You never know, though, maybe this watch comes back.

… oh, one more thing, I’d be curious what you think of the Seiko restoration I posted.

I would wear it. I have many with patina. Keep in mind that these are not steel and can't be polished with out removing all of the plating. Just because it isn't your taste doesn't make it wrong.
