Amazing video. Great pointers, you told us the size of the torx bit, and showed every detailed step with no other BS. Thank you!
Thanks for posting this vid.
Just saved myself a good amount of cash and only took me 20 minutes.
Thats great to hear! Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for sharing! I'm about to replace this on my 3400 GM engine.
Good luck on your repair! Glad we could help.
What us the name of the hose from the engine to the top of the air duct???
Excellent! Good job, folks.
Very good video. Thanks
I have a unrelated question. Those 3 black lines with yellow stickers on them. On my 02 rendezvous the middle one is attached on the right side but following it to thr left it isnt connected to anything. Any idea on what the name.of the part is and where I can re attach it to? Awesome video BTW saved me from.taking it to shop from not being able to access that left torx screw.
To clear the computer once the job is done is that done with a ob2 scanner or can I disconnect the battery ?
thanks for great info
put several loads on the vehicle
giggity.
I am not sure if you had mentioned to re-set the engine computer by disconnection the battery for 20 minutes. Other than that it is excellent video. It would not work if first the car computer is re-set. Thanks BN
Hi my Grand Prix is a 2002 when I got a diagnostic it was clear besides an oil change but when I put the foam in the gas tank it didn’t help the issue now it’s not even starting when it use to start after the second time
sea foam doesnt fix anything,it just fucks the vehicle up slightly more.
Very good !
What the name of that blk hose on top of the hose connected to maf sensor
Why did you replace it ?????
my grand am 3400 cold starts fine after its warm it starts and stalls atleast 3 times unless you hold the gas pedal. could this be the problem?
Hi, Mike. Thanks for the comment. It may be the problem, but it's difficult to make an accurate diagnosis without being under the hood. We recommend taking the vehicle to a qualified repair facility and having it properly diagnosed.
Man this a Long shot but I’m having the exact same problem , with my Grand Prix 3.4 did you figure anything out ?
What was yalls problems?
can you still drive a vehicle with a bad idle control valve? I have a 2014 chevy impala

Did you ever figure out why your GM 3400 motor had the very high idol
@@nandoarcayna6326 did you find out man?
Hi I just chante it but my venture 2001 stil whith high idle. I remove(by accident) the vaccum line from the brake booster to the manifol and the revs changed from 1500 to 800. What culd be te problem?
Thanks for the comment. For this particular issue, we don't feel comfortable diagnosing without being under the hood. Your best bet is to take the vehicle to a qualified repair facility and have it properly diagnosed.
How often should I replace the iac?
Only when there are problems just like any other sensor
I'm having similar issue after replacement...still high idle after road testing even. Any ideas?
replaced the IAC in my older 3.1 (1991 olds cutlass) and its running worse almost wants to stall and misfiring like crazy. Any ideas?
me too, 03 Buick century
Ypu should drive it around right after replacement so the engine computer can reprogram its proper idle .
How do you reset the computer? Is the resetting of the computer the idling got 2 minutes?
“Clear the computers memory”
Thanks for the comment. The use of a scan tool is the best bet for resetting the memory of the control module. Hope that helps.
