Hey so I was wondering, planning on making a 2 foot by 2 foot desert board for both dnd and a diorama- any tips on using this process on a board of that scale?
Hi, unfortunately there is nothing I can say that you should do specifically, but in order to shape the surface faster, after giving the desired roughness and heights with Styrofoam, you can make a mixture with plaster sand and PVA glue and cover the surface faster and easier. After that, you can use a paint brush or continue with an airbrush. ✌🍺

Where do you get Giotto vinyl glue? Is it only available in Italy? Can I use ceramic resin or other mix?
Hi, don't get hung up on the Giotto vinyl brand, any PVA glue (white glue) will do the job. You can use any mixture that hardens after it dries to shape the diorama. The reason I use powdered plaster is because it is the most common, cheap and easy to find.
@NightOwlModelling you mean just normal glue or plaster if paris in a water and mix it and then use tissue paper as you have done it?
@@na4211 I don't know what you mean by normal glue, but any PVA glue will do. If you dilute the plaster powder enough for the tissue to absorb it, then yes it will work.
what do you use to put on top of the sand and make it stick?
diluted white glue (PVA Glue)✌

Di seguito ho elencato i bisogni più elementari;
-Colla bianca
-Vernice acrilica (la marca non ha importanza, andrà bene anche quella più economica)
-Schiuma XPS (per pavimento)
-Diverse dimensioni diverse di sabbia e ghiaia
-Rami secchi e radici di piante dal giardino
Non deve essere per forza un aerografo, se dai un'occhiata agli altri miei diorami puoi vedere diverse tecniche. Inoltre è disponibile in italiano nella sezione Sottotitoli video. Se lo guardi con i sottotitoli ti spiegherò anche le fasi di produzione. Saluti... 🥂

3 spoons of plaster - 2 spoons of fine sand, (tablespoon) (the spoon we painted while doing color tests) 😄 the amount of water I use is fine enough to apply with a brush. I think the others look in the video. 🍻
